Back on topic...with all these ads we've been seeing, it looks more and more like that the price drop will be announced at Gamescom then the announcement of the slim at TGS.

But I really hope that I'm wrong about this.

Well, all the european info we've seen leak has all pointed to a september 1st release of the slim.. while that doesn't guarantee anything for anyone, especially us oversea folk, it lends itself to at least the PAL ps3 slim being announced at gamescom. While it's not impossible that they'll plug their ears and hum when we ask about the slim showing up in other territories, I doubt it. I mean, they have the internet. There could be some poor intern pouring over this thread as we speak.

Sony will fix/send you different ps3 for $150. $150 is less than $300 but I guess it depends on how much you value the slim's features over the 20gb's.
