Sneakers |OT| Hypebeasts We Know About Ya

Sorry I don't have any of those. I do have one of the older Free's and the Roshe's are definitely better than them. Roshe's and those Solarsoft Moccasins are my most comfortable shoes.

Well, I've done a subjective test. The Roshe's are definitely a comfortable shoe. The feel on the Kobe 8 lunarlon is very comfortable on the heel portion. The Lunars, Roshe's and Kobe's are all pretty light too. I guess it comes down to preferences.

I Nike ID'd a pair of Roshe's based on the Summer 2012 Yeezy 2s. I also have a pair of Red/White ones on the way.

Roshe's are definitely a nice shoe. Cheap (price wise). Very comfortable. I think the only issue is the color ways. U.S. isn't getting the color ways Europe does.

I wish I hadn't missed out on the FB Yeezy Roshe's. Those are hot (and I don't want to pay resell prices for a $70 shoe).

Do you have Free 5.0, Free 3.0, Kobe 8 or Flyknit Lunar for comparison? I'm trying to find the best pillows to walk on (without literally doing so).

So far I like the lunarlon in the Kobe 8. I like the light weight of the Lunars. The 5.0 are okay.

I have flyknits and Roshes. Both are very comfortable, I slightly prefer the Roshes for walking on pavement or up and down stairs. Best I can compare it to is it feels like you are walking barefoot on a gymnastics mat (or w/e they're called) all day.

adidas x rick owens coming soon

I'm curious to see what someone who makes the chunkiest footwear around is gonna do for running shoes. also, comment of the century:

Nah, I can't mess with the Son of Lows. Those hybrids are for the kids, methinks...only Spizikes and the old Six Rings were good hybrid sneakers.

Anyone else grab the Flyknit Trainers from Nike.com today for $120?

Good sizes and colors still available http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/flyknit-trainer-unisex-running-shoe/pid-673781/pgid-776082

Once again, NiceKicks.com came through for me - I have the orange trainers and the royal/electric green trainers and was searching ebay for the electric green/black variety ($180+ on there) just this week.

While I love the look of these shoes, the comfort is key for me. Maybe not quite as plush as the Roshes, but in the same ballpark at least.

Anybody getting those 5s tomorrow?

I almost want to try for the hell of it but not sure. I'm still mad about the mambacurials actually...

I just don't dig the look compared to the Lunar1s, probably due to the lack of having the colors broken up.

That said... It's a great deal. Now waiting for Nike to stock the onecolor Flyknits... Those look so dope.

I hear ya. My problem with the Lunars is that I feel like the sole overshadows the rest of the shoe - like, all I can see is that lunar sole. Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily, it's just that the soles right now are pretty plain - once they start bringing the hot colors, I could def get on board. 'Specially since lunar soles are so comfy (even have a couple pairs of the Cole Haan Lunargrand wingtips)

I'll try to grab the 5s online, but I won't be upset if I don't get them. They are definitely a serious quick strike.

Some Kobe's drop tomorrow but I will only cop with the military discount.

Has anyone here ordered from Nike.com before? I want to get a pair of Nike Free but I need to get them in wide and the only way to do that is by getting a customized pair under Nike iD. They didn't have any information on actual widths in millimeters (wtf? why not?) so I'm taking a risk by ordering.

Also if you know any good alternatives that come in wide, I'd like to hear about them. New Balance (famous for supporting wider feet) has some minimalist shoes but everyone says the vibram soles on them wear out way too fast.

If you become a Nike.com member, you get free shipping + returns on orders - even ID stuff. I've actually returned a couple pair of ID'd AM90’s ('cause the colors didn't match the website) without any issue. Have you tried using the online shopping help options (800.806.6453 / email / chat) http://help-en-us.nike.com/app/landing/contact ? They're usually pretty good about answering product questions (moreso than calling up a Niketown).

If you are looking for a minimal (Minimus-like) shoe, Merrell's barefoot line are the widest I've tried on (aside from NB).

I thought the whole point of a Vibram sole was that it was a longer lasting, durable material?

I'm an idiot - you said FREE - I have Flyknit on the brain. Minimus vs Free makes a helluva lot more sense - sorry for the confusion.

I'd stay away from the Free Trainer 5.0 and the Free Haven 3.0 - both awesome for training, but very narrow.

I've ordered from nike.com many times, no issues particularly with their CS or returns in store.

Anyways, I have a pair of Frees (currently on my second pair) and while they're great if you have wide feet, the main issue is going to be the toebox as it is on the narrow size so sizing up is always an option but clearly harder if you're already neat tha max size limit. Still, the shoes should be snug like second skin, but the seams in certain pairs can rub painfully if you don't wear socks so be wary of that.

The NB Minimus shoes are great for sure but I know that the Vibram versions - which are on the trail Minimus and I think one of the running pair - are very thin compared to the Frees so yes, they'll wear out faster. If you want to go for support for wider feet, New Balance US made (or UK made if you're in Europe), particularly from the 990s and up are great as they do support wide sizes. A bit pricier but it's usually because they're domestically made.

Hope this helps.

Is anyone here ever able to score a pair of Jordans online these days?

I'm on ndc instantly, and it just tells me "we saved you a spot in line" and of course that never means shit.

Same with eastbay, and it always tells me there was an error adding to cart the first few times I try, followed by all of my size are already in other carts.

Finishline, you can't even get to, it just refreshes every 30 seconds, so that's useless.

Is there some trick I'm missing? I have really fast internet, and I'm on the drop right away.

Most shoes are gone by the time we see the link. Bots have made it almost impossible.

If you get those NDC links on the when the time hits 8AM and it says they saved you a spot online there is a very good chance you can get a pair.

My trick is use http mobile.twitter.com/nikestore and refresh instead of the regular full version of the website.

I was able to get two pairs of the Grapes online today. It's really about persistence or luck.

Nike Store is the most difficult to buy from because of bots. Plain and simple. This morning was a perfect example. The Black Grapes were obviously limited and the bots ransacked the store quickly.

However if you click the link right when it's posted, you have a good chance. The new wait in line is a crap show though. I'm not 100% sure they hold the shoe in your cart anymore while you wait in line. Last week, I was kicked out of the line for the foams and 11 lows.

Finishline is terrible. The worst site to buy shoes from. They have issues with payment processing and the splash screen is a PIA. You used to be able to use the mobile site to circumvent it but they got wise to it at the beginning of the year.

Foot locker and family (Champs, Eastbay and Foot Action) are probably the fairest to buy shoes from. You just have to keep clicking add to cart. That's how I got my two pairs today.

Usually, I start out with Nike (because of the shipping), try FNL next then FTL.

just bumping this with a shoe brand I came across today, been around for a couple years

Sometimes go a little over the top with the material/color combos but eh. Prices are also not too crazy ($200-$280) for what they are, especially compared to the market they're aiming at.

Also, really digging these pony hair brooks brothers (!!) black fleece sneakers:

Yea I dunno how I would've gotten to the link and my size in cart any faster.

I guess next time I'll try Footlocker instead of Eastbay. (I always assumed their stock was the same)

I wish it was like 2006 again, fire red 3 and 5, black metallic 5 and who knows what else all gotten online with ease.

The last Jordan I was able to score online was the Chicago 10, after that something changed. Although I was able to randomly get the fire red 4 in the late afternoon of release day on ndc, i must have had perfect timing on that.

Foot Locker, Eastbay, Champs and Foot Action all pull from the same stock. However, your chance of getting a release are a little better than Nike store and finishline (depends on how their SPA algorithm works).

And Fire Red 4s, Military Blue 4s, Fire Red 5s, Bugs Bunny 8s, Phoenix 8s, Photo Blue 9s and a few others were easy to buy because of availability.

The Grapes that released this past weekend are already fetching $250+ in some places. Nike has definitely released hype in a bottle the last few weeks (Kobe 8 Mambacurials, Black Grape 5s and this week's Lebron X Denim).

Air Tech Challenge 2

Damn! Haven't seen a pair that clean since my 6th grade Easter photos. (a long time ago)

Beaches of Rio 180s finally arrived from Crooked Tongues in the UK. Purchased these accidentally thanks to a Paypal error (was trying to see how much they were in USD vs GBP), but ended up being a happy accident.

Dice - not sure if you pulled the trigger on any of those trainers yet, but MyHabit (Amazon's clothing deals site) has NB on sale today for pretty cheap, wide included - Minimus is $64. Know you said you had issue with durability of the Vibram sole, but for this price point, it might be worth it.

The 180's with EM are sooooooo sick!

Also, my ATC II's are the retro from 2008. Since Agassi is back with Nike, I'm really anticipating all of the retros that are sure to come out. ATC IV's gahhhh.

Thanks for the tip, but I won't be able to get anything till I get paid on Friday. I'm also now considering using the Nike iD to get custom (boring) colors so I can wear them at work.

I was skeptical, but EM is *perfect* for summertime shoes.

My bank account cannot handle an Agassi resurgence!

No worries - always on the hunt for sneaker deals.

Looks like that NB deal runs through Saturday morning, if you change your mind.

Anyone know where I can get this exact pair of converses, I tried google searching and found some stuff on etsy but I can't find this exact pair, driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance.

First thing I did was google "galaxy converse all star" and this popped up. link

Seem to be the exact pair, so they are custom made.

These here look similar, from converse, but not exactly.

NIKE SB STEFAN JANOSKI BLACK / BLACK - WHITE

Thoughts? I've wanted those Digital Floral-Camo ones but they are all sold out obviously.
I saw these and got excited as they have only just been released, but I'm not sure I like them on their own merits or because they are similar to the original floral ones.

Do you think these will sell as fast? I don't want to rush buying these but if they sell out I will be disappointed probably.
