Well, I did manage to win a raffle at my local Foot Action and purchased a pair online. I have to say I got lucky. This release was destined to be crazy.
Nike Store was literally sold out in a minute in my size. Seriously, they're limiting the shoe but doing nothing about the bots, smh. Just using as a hype generator for the next release.
And SMH at Nike cancelling the Yeezy, FB Roshe rerelease and Kobe Prelude 2s. Hmm...

Looks like almost everybody struck out (sigh). I'm so tired of these limited releases...
Demand is pretty nuts, more than a decade ago they released 40k pair or so and no one gave two shits. I bought 3 pairs and not all at once, these sneakers sat. High top sneakers are all the rage, but Nike + resellers exasperate the situation. Feel bad for the collectors and sneaker heads.

Looks like hard work pays off, as I was on the way to pick up the Prelude 4s I got a call from footaction telling me that I won the raffle in my size for the 1s. Needless to say it felt great. I waited on line in midtown Manhattan for 5 hours, 3 hours at HoH and 2 hours at a Footaction (was cold as fuck too). Was feeling pretty bad after striking out online this morning.

the wait was for the raffle tickets, yesterday. This morning was a breeze, walked in and walked out. But thats what makes it worse, standing in line for 5 hours knowing nothing is guaranteed and chances are low.
Shoes were gonna be held till closing today. I showed up within 30 minutes of course.

I just got my first pair of "Nap/Nubuck", Timberland Pro boots. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for cleaning them. I have heard about using a soft brush but, some have said to use a foam solvent. I saw a video saying that solvent can make the shoe look worse. So, how do you clean your "classic" Timberland boots?

Got another call from HoH, this time it's for the Infrared 3Lab5 releasing on the 31st. Not sure how I feel about them but I'll pick them up to check them out. The Infrared really pops but the elephant print throughtout the shoe isnt that great. I hope its not too visible.
And damn thats 3/5 on the raffles, hopefully I get a call for the duck Foams too.

Great lists fellas! Pretty envious of the AJ1 Bred, AJ 5 DB and Clot & Atmos AM1 pickups. Kicking myself I slept on the AJ4 Toros. Never really been a fan of the 4's personally, but when I started seeing these on feet I knew I should've copped when I had the chance.
A few honourable mentions to add to my list of pickups:
Solebox x Adidas Torison Allegra (technically a 2012 release, but I got them early in the year. Broke the pull tab on my first wear. Shattered! )
Nike Roshe Run "Team Red/Sail" (Nike over did it with the Roshe's this year but these were on point)
Reebok Ventilator OG (One of my most worn pairs. Reebok really came strong this year with the rereleases)
Li-Ning Way of Wade 2 "Overtown" (not a great bball performance shoe, but they look great that I can rock it casually. Materials on these are some of the best I've seen this year)
Jordan CP3.VII "Bel Air" (Kobe 8's are still my go to on court, but these are right up there)

Those are probably the top releases this year that I picked up which were considered "heat". I paid out the nose for those Royals, but they are an all-time fave for me, so it was grudgingly worth it. Probably going to get the Highlight Reels just because they're sitting, and then I'm done with 1s.
I copped a ton of Reeboks this year - the Kamikaze 2s, the Questions (black and gold), the Answer 1 OG and Answer 4 OG, the Dee Brown Pumps, the Shaq Attaq Pumps (black/azure), the Twilight Zone Pumps, the DMX Run 10s...the quality on these retros were just so good, and so many people slept on these, so I was able to gobble them up at way below retail. Awesome year for Reeboks, IMHO...gonna get into their runners and more of their more limited stuff next year too once the beasts go back to sleep. White Shaq Attaqs, Michael Chang Pumps, the Lebron Questions - can't wait.
In 2014, I'll have my first LBJ11, and I'm hoping the next signature Jordan release is worthwhile. Probably still on my retro wave, though.

They look so good in person. Last cops for me this year and I'd def rank it in my top 5. If you decide to get a pair: go a size down coz they run big!
As for 2014: on the Jordan front, the 6's don't really do it for me apart from the Carmine's and Infrared's so I'm looking forward to seeing what they retro from the other lines. Kobe 9's will be interesting, the Elites are simply from another planet, which is a good and bad thing in some ways. Hoping they release a low cut version with all the flyknit goodness. Speaking of flyknit, looking forward to the Flyknit Air Max in January.
As for trainers, hoping to cop the ones I've previously listed and anticipating the usual collabs.
One thing I'm definitely NOT looking forward to is price increases on Jordan's and paying reseller prices for many future releases. Sneaker game is at a high right now especially here in Australia. Start of the year I was still able to walk into my local Foot Locker in the afternoon and pick up the latest J's (ie: Royals, Black Grapes), but now people are camping out for days which is absurd. It's getting to the point where I think we'll soon be adopting a similar raffling system, which personally I wish does not happen.
I got bodied for the Oregon Foams.

If I can land a pair of Infrared VI's and a pair of Playoff XIII's, I really might be done with Jordan Brand in '14. I also really hope that Nike retros some of the early 2000 co.jp dunks. If that happens, I will totally lose my shit.
