After the 31st, I think I'm going to limit my sneaker purchases to two a month at the most. Spent way too much money and time on buying shoes this past year. I've got way too many shoes, too much disappointment and just kind of getting burnt out from the grind, especially in this back office dealing, bot using and Nike and Co limiting pairs to artificially generate hype.
Today, I spent 4-5 hours trying to buy today's releases and could only make out with the AJ 12s and the Lebrons.
I spent 2 hours waiting on a Jimmy Jazz line for Bred 1 tickets (which took me away from the comfort of my home and trying to buy the other releases like the Kobe and KD). A rumor popped up into hour 2 that they only had 10 tickets. Sure enough, they only had about just that with 20-30 people waiting in line. To make it worse, you had to specifically state what size you wanted or else bounce (no claiming a ticket to at least not be a complete waste of time). So I struck out on the Bred 1 and online for the other shoes.

As far as Kobe 2 Preludes, these are probably the must limited shoe releases right now. Good luck, you're looking at $350-$500 resell.
Well, consider myself out of luck. Because I live in a small town with only Champs, Footlocker, and Finishline. And none of those store will be receiving them...

While the material looks hard in photos it's really not, feels rubbery, easy to walk in. They're pinching the side of my foot a bit, but they feel good, expect they'll stretch a bit. Well made shoe for sure. Wish I could get my hands on the black gum sole version for a reasonable price, sucker for gum soles and they do look slick.

Just got these Onitsuka Tigers but I'm thinking returning them since the yellow is a bit too much for my taste. They feel fucking awesome tho.
Already ordered similar gray ones. But I'm kinda torn if I should just keep the yellow ones and cancel them.

Way too much - more than $350, which made me sick but whatever. The Royal 1s are literally the only 1s I am crazy for, though. I'm honestly not a Jordan guy (I'm a Knicks fan, Jordan ruined my childhood, his shoes were always way too expensive for me, lol)...so there's only so many colorways of the first 14 models that I care about (and virtually none of the models that came after).
I figured I would never have this shoe any other way...so I had to pay a stupid reseller.
I'm not even going to bother with the Bred 1s. I can't wear any Bulls colors on Jordan sneakers ever, so whatever.

I personally favourite the yellow ones. But I'm a person who wants to see more colourful shoes. But you can't go wrong with the greys. They fit with every choice of clothing. You can totally cause eye cancer if you combine the yellow with some colourful tops(like a blue hoodie). But most people don't look on the shoes anyway. So yeah.

agree on both fronts, walked past foot locker on my way to work yesterday and people were lined up (melbourne)
2 nights camping out, forget that.
it used to be so much easier, i walked in and copped concords (on the monday after saturday release mind you), bred 11s, quai 54's (two pairs) with ease but now you can't even get general release stuff without lining up..

I don't think neogaf gets much traffic for sneaker releases so I'm down to help everyone here land their own pair. Hopefully I can get my pair too, entered 2 raffles with 3 tickets at each, had to wait 2 hours at each in cold ass weather here in NYC.

The thing that turns me off is all the craziness and hassle. The moment I found out that most stores literally raffle off the chance to buy the shoes is the moment I pretty much said fuck this lol. Well. The Breds sold out within 5minutes at a German retailer and in 8minutes at Nike.com/Ger. I'm happy that I woke up at 8:45am and didn't get back to sleep coz my attitude was like "Well. You're in Germany. Nobody cares about them anyway, you have time."
