I thought it was known the Carmine's were coming back in May?

May is crazy with the Carmine's and Concord Lows.

I wanted the KD Florals, Lebrons, the AJKO Chicago and the Rivalry Pack. I had 0 chance at the Rivalry pack. Florals I woke up too late for.

What I haven't looked at was the Futures. Didn't realize it was a super limited release!!

Saw those Futures are going for $400-$600 resell. They were really limited. Sneakers are the new real estate/stock market. It's so retarded.

And obviously the high demand has Nike raising the prices every year. iPhones use new parts, etc and still manage to stay around the same price.

Chipotle is raising their prices but at least they use fresh decent quality food and are a mid scale fast food restaurant. Nike using cheap materials, enjoying high profit margins.

I really have no idea why they made these so limited. I think they could have been a huge success if they were priced a little cheaper and made them a GR. It really could have been the Roshe of JB.

It's funny, when they were first announced no one really wanted them. Then people found out they were limited and well...

So SneakerGAF, how often should I be cleaning my Chucks? I read the cleaning tips on the OP, though I don't see if most would apply to a canvas shoe...

Any tips/tricks? Hightops btw, if that even matters.

Just waiting for that bubble to burst so Nike can be more humble. The Housing market got punched in the mouth in the late 2000s. I remember the big comic book crash in 1994-1995. It was similar Marvel and D.C. Dropping a ton of gimmick covers, publishing a lot of books, etc. Prices kept going up, they flooded the market and eventually the casuals went away. And to quote Drake things were "Never the Same."

Also waiting for this but I'm kind of torn on this. On one hand I can't wait until this phase of sneakers being the"in" thing goes away so prices drop but on the other hand, the exposure the sneaker culture got over the past several years is pretty awesome. Got to meet people I might have not met if sneakers didn't blow up.

I have several pairs of canvas shoes but I haven't worn them in the longest times. Just be sure to wash them thoroughly or you will get those awful water stains. Buy Jason Markks if you can.

When's the last time Nike's been in trouble? They know they have everyone by the balls and will continue to raise prices, because materialism is at an all-time high and people will continue to buy regardless of price.

Yeah. As I said, they could probably raise the prices by $100 and every shoe would still sell out day one.

As it is right now, demand>>>>>>>>>>supply

With the price increase, demand>>>>>>>supply

Still a lot of greater than signs to go before that hits equilibrium...

A lot of this is the flipping game, sneakers are currency. You're looking for a bigger fool, won't be there forever. You can get SLP Breds for less than Jordan 1 Breds. Brand is stronger than ever, but the quality isn't always there. Personally, I'm tired of foams and retro 3s, I think Nikes run both shoes into the ground, two of my favorites. At some point, Jordan's will be played out, and the casual will go elsewhere. You can't rerelease the same shit over and over but just change up the colors.

Flyknit will be their bread and butter in the future, the margins on those shoes have to be the highest of any line.

For sure, especially since they skim on materials to increase margins. Take the Guccis, I like the shoe, well made except the tongue which is so flimsy, barely wore it and it looks ready to crack. Leather on the tongue was poor, yet most people thought they were well made.

Labor costs on flyknit tech is minimal, they don't need humans on an assembly line, they can change the process on the fly by punching a few numbers into a PC, minimal waste. Heck, you see Nike talking about moving flyknit manufacturing anywhere because the labor costs are a non issue when manufacturing the shoes. Would love to see the margins on the new Kobe's.

That price increase is fucking steep, after the price goes up I'm just gonna start rocking new balance and other brands shits getting out of hand. $190 for jordans would be kinda acceptable if the quality is on point but it almost never is.

Yessir. Calypsos, Knicks, Sirens, Team Red, Team Blue, Black Sails, Mint FB, Iguanas, GPX Geometric, etc. There are a lot of nice color ways.

I posted about it on Saturday. Nike pulled their normal okie doke on Saturday with the AJKO Rivalry Pack and AJ Future. They were both extremely limited.

Roshes can dry out. We got lucky in that they rereleased color ways last year.

The FB Mints...ohhh Lawd Yeezy Madness. The geometrics were the last hot color way.

Here we go folks. I'm terrible at on-feet pics but I tried. Also, my htc one camera has some really crappy auto focus but here are some pics. The tongue is super dope. At first, I thought it was just polka dots from the pics and when I got them in hand, they are actually mimicking a carbon fiber feel. One of the pics have the SB laces on and the Fat laces. So pick your poison.
