SomeDude said:Is NIGHTS as great as everyone says it is? Wasn't the game released for Saturn? Is it really that timeless? Usually the Sega hardcores are the only ones that talk about it.
DarienA said:<sigh> You know with Vic Ireland posting on the board today and this thread being so near the topic he's in.... I'm having flashbacks to r.g.v.sega days.... was there a more hated man than Vic on that newsgroup years back?

FortNinety said:Regarding Naka, the guy's temperament and personality is well known. He's not the greatest guy to be work with. He's a perfectionist, and if things don't go his way, he gets pissed. Though the question has to be asked: if he's such a perfectionist, why are so many recent Sonic Team games crap?
Well the fact that his "baby" NiGHTS bombed so badly really really seemed to have killed a bit of his love for his job, or so I've heard. Also, the fact that he's constantly being compared to (unfairly, of course) to Miyamoto probably does not help things, such as getting a day's work done. I read somewhere that he was much happier when he was just some nobody programmer.
At this point, Sega have very few reliably good and noteworthy franchises. At one point I would have found it sad to say that I don't really care about what Sega has in the works for the future, but it doesn't bother me now.

Evidently Sega's releasing Bleach games for GC, GBA & DS. SCEI has Bleach games coming for PS2 & PSP.PG2G said:BTW, I see a Bleach game listed for GC. Isn't Sony making a PS2 Bleach game?
The End said:Meteos is only being produced by Mizoguchi. Some dude from HAL is directing it.
Also, it looks fairly underwhelming when compared to Lumines.
