I do, Kingdom Hearts is pretty rad. It just seems to still be in some weird development situation where even the most recent trailer was mostly simulated gameplay. If they go too ambitious and end up having to cut corners in the end it will be worse than if they had a clear vision.

Yep. I don't understand why they're telling everyone these details at all, especially given Toriyama's fixation on narrative. And bypassing the need to evade/guard and beating the final boss in 50 seconds... I have the feeling that the game might be as unbalanced as FF13-2 was. :/
Everyone else has had a chuckle at the bra size thing already, so I'll just say that I'm bemused.

They said it would be tougher this time around and there would be a hard mode. I think the no-blocking is only intended for easy.

This keeps getting more crazy by the minute. It's like SE knows Toriyama's reputation and are just running with it. Is it really just a Toriyama thing, or all of SE becoming like this?
It's odd to have big games like Final Fantasy serving the creepy otaku crowd. I'm still looking forward to the game for really liking what they showed of the gameplay, but you can't really turn a blind eye to this kind of fan service anymore :/

Indeed. Though 13-2 sold like garbage in the west, so I suspect they aren't too ambitious about it.
Lower quality and re-used assets with a single playable character for a $60 game is as close to free money as they can get at this point, I suppose.

Still a fear of mine. I'll wait for impressions from importers first because FF13-2 left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. Haha, I still find it weird that I ended up preferring the first game in terms of difficulty over the second when it seemed to have been contrary to the popular opinion. To be fair, though, the gimmick DLC battles were the best thing out of FF13-2.

I can't help but think LR is going to be a solid fun game than what we got from XIII/XIII-2.
That's in Japan. The American equivalent is B > C.
Anyway... Eh I got nothing to say really. It'll probably be an easy as fuck game on regular difficulty. Hopefully Hard is decent.

The more I hear about this game the more I'm confident in this being one of the best Final Fantasy I'll play in my life. There's simply TOO much stuff going on for it to not being anywhere near "good" through "excellent". They're going to surprise lots of people and fans, of that I'm sure. Yet... so many months of wait, I wonder what I'll do in the meantime

Re-designing characters is nothing new for this industry. Lara's boobs changed episode after episode for example. If we talk about Final Fantasy, Tifa went on reverse: from giant super cosmonautic boobs to a bit smaller boobs in AC. There are tons of example of this happening in both Final Fantasy series and all the others. Mass Effect's women too got redesigned to have bigger boobs or to have more sex appeal, while men especially in western games get tons of sexy muscles game after game (like Shepard). Toriyama is not alone.

Is it just me or does it make sense that when they say you don't have to block they mean tactical movement/placement with Lightning during battles to dodge hits because you can move Lightning around in this game?
They'll be there, Serah had a bikini pack in XIII-2 iirc
It's doable. It also takes hours that can reach the double digits to do so, not 50 seconds.

Okay. Being in the FFXV threads, I get defending a game that hasn't come out yet from people purposefully playing dumb and blindly hating just to hate.
That being said, it's really hard to take you seriously when you make comments like these. There are just some things you have to question if that's the right call.
Like when Nomura talks about playable cutscenes I get nervous because I have no idea how that would work or be a good idea. Some things you have to question. You can be optimistic but this is just another level. You have to question why Toriyama is so proud of that comment about changing Lightnings breasts.
That's not what they mean. You can't just position Lightning out of harms way by walking away because the minute you attack you close that distance and she doesn't move fast enough to avoid the attacks from enemies anyways.
Playing the E3 demo there was a bit of blocking on my end but mostly I just mashed buttons after switching schema's after I would run out of ATB. Easy peasy.

You don't have to reply every single time to me by saying I'm not allowed to be excited for this game. I told you already that the JAPAN EXPO's DEMO mixed up with E3 DEMO makes me already excited without even touching upon all the other elements involved. I like the game, just deal with it.
