more like totally mediorce
And Sonic Battle was kind of mediocre.
One thing for sure, Story Mode was fucking awful. HEY, YOU DEFEATED ME, LET'S FIGHT AGAIN. And Rouge's chapter can go straight to hell. I mean it. Fuck that chapter.
I liked it at the time, but the hit mechanics weren't quite up to scratch. It's not amongst my favourite Sonic games, even of the last decade, but I wouldn't protest a sequel.
This is seriously the best video review I've ever watched. It's obvious that tons of love went into it. I turned off my adblocker, refreshed, and watched it again. So I slogged for nearly three whole weeks but I finally published my Sonic Generations video review on TSSZ News.

I seriously recorded probably close to 200gb of footage from just about every major Sonic game for this.
Leveling up Emerl was awesome. Haven't played the game in a while, though. Just very fond memories. I think I'm gonna play through it again.
after Shadow and Silver's stories in Sonic 06

Aw, that's too bad (re: toothache). It's unfortunate that you couldn't wait until the ache subsided since you had to deliver it on schedule. But better late that never. It was a great review nonetheless. Lots of thought put into it and that's what counts.Yeah, that was me narrating. If I sound bored, I was struggling with a mild toothache, and on top of that, it was "one of those days" as far as trying to think clearly and enunciate properly goes. Basically, writing and narrating this review was a huge point of frustration, and then when I got to the video part, I kept having to record more and more and more and more video because it never seemed like I had enough.
Yeah, I agree with most of the points you discussed. Liked what they did with Classic Sonic's physics (and the spindash isn't too powerful like in the HD version). Here's my written review of Sonic Generations 3DS. I went into a fair amount of detail.
Aha, I'm sure I'd have to film myself talking about games or something while wearing a low-cut top or a top that hugs my figure just so I could recruit such white knights. Not worth it. :lolOn the plus side, you'd also attract a bunch of white knights who'd rush to your defense and probably incite a full on flame war in the comments.
The internet's funny that way.
Siliconera said:Sega have released Sonic Advance for Android devices in Japan... for 415 yen [yesterday].
A release for territories outside Japan hasn’t been announced yet. Here’s what Sonic Advance looks like on Android:

Since Capcom seems to have zero interest in doing a Power Stone sequel, maybe get Sumo Digital to shamelessly rip those off and have power stones be chaos emeralds instead. Done!

Well, it's not quite the 30th place I had on the Modern Rooftop Run Leaderboard in those early days, but it's good enough.

Though Diablohead is still above me.
Sort of OT: Are there any Master System emulators that support the 360 controller? I'd like to replay some of my old Master System games (like Sonic 2, Castle of Illusion and Alex Kidd in Miracle World), but I can't be arsed to set up my MS, so I'd like to just use a DS3 + MotionInJoy to play the games on my PC
I *think* Kega Fusion supports it. Haven't dabbled with it much, though.
Everyone gave conflicting opinions on the portable games.
I think I'll just get Rush and Colors DS for now and look into Advance 1/2/3, Rush Adventure, and Generations 3DS later on.
Play Advance 1, stay away from 2 and 3.
Especially avoid Sonic Advance 2. Terrible game. Most of it is literally hold right to win.
I think 3 is better than 2, though. I don't remember too many bottomless pits aside from Cyber Track. But I remember this one awful Act (Sunset Hill Act 2) that made me accidentally go all the way back to the beginning of the level due to the confusing design. Fuck that Act.At least you can't do that in Advance 3 since Dimps shat all over it with bottomless pits out the wazoo. Awful game.
I really like Sonic Advance 2.
I really like Sonic Advance 2.
Sonic Advance 2 is indeed great. I had quite the time trying to set records on each stage when I was younger.I really like Sonic Advance 2.
Yeah, I kinda liked how it was all put together. One thing in particular (this extends to the whole trilogy) is how in some cases between the 3 games a level trope will just be done again, but in others it's like the actual level has evolved (i.e. Angel Island >> Chaos Angel; Techno Base > Cyber Track; Ice Mountain > Ice Paradise > Twinkle Snow; X Zone > XX).I thought Advance 2 had the best presentation out of the Advance series (or all of Dimps' Sonic titles, really) but hated pretty much everything else.
Also, fuck Sky Canyon.
A 3DS sequel to Sonic Battle, if at all competently put together, would be either great or incredible. It also has great Spotpass and online potential.
In fact I'd like a Sonic Battle 2 much more than yet another mainline platformer.
So DLC... is this game getting anymore?
Also, fuck Sky Canyon.
SAdv2 is okay but fuck having to get 7 things to enter a special stage.
Also I could never figure out Sky Canyon It's decent besides that though. It also gave us Music Plant.
It was almost 4 months before Unleashed got its DLC-enabling patch and the first level pack, so we might be in for a little wait, especially since the Japanese version of Generations hasn't launched yet.
so most people just picked the partnership that played closest to normal Sonic.
I was just curious if there was any mumbling before the game came out that SEGA would release DLC for this eventually.
Look into Rush, Rush Adventure (I think it has better level design than Rush), Colours DS (it was my favourite out of the trio), Sonic Battle and the Advance games (though you could stay away from 3, I guess... *shrug*).Everyone gave conflicting opinions on the portable games.

Sonic Drift is not in Sonic Generations 3DS. You can unlock game cover art and one of the promo screenshots in a magazine showed Sonic Drift as a the selected cover art in the Collection area of the game.Come to think of it, did that rumour about Sonic Drift being in Generations 3DS turn out to be true?
