If this is actually a good entry in the Sonic franchise, maybe it will sell some systems. The diehard Sonic fans will definitely be on board
Because I could type far worse things than what I am writing...
I mean, exclusivity deals with the Wii U? Ubisoft and Tecmo have already changed their mind, why would SEGA pursue this?
because sonic racing sold best on wiiu could be one reasonBecause I could type far worse things than what I am writing...

I can't deal with it, man. I got over the Bayonetta 2 announcement, but this is just too much...

And what if I don't want a Wii U?

Got a crazy Idea, buy a Wii U.
And what if I don't want a Wii U?
Because of an exclusive Sonic game? What a joke.I want Nintendo to go bankrupt.

Naa.. wait till it tank and SEGA is forced to port it to 360 and PS3.

I'm still a bit salty myself, goddamn. lol
I can't imagine myself buying a Wii U for this game. Knowing that Nexbox will probably get a true Next Gen version. I'll be jealous though.
Not me. Count me out.

I mean, it's not like Nintendo exclusive Sonic games are a new thing at all.
There really isn't a history of Sega porting their Nintendo exclusive Sonic games to other platforms though.
Sonic games always sell better on Nintendo platforms. Colors on Wii outsold all versions of Generations combined. If it doesn't succeed on the Wii U, it won't succeed anywhere else.Naa.. wait till it tank and SEGA is forced to port it to 360 and PS3.
it is on the 3ds and outsold the ps360 combinedOn the flip side, Sonic games like Sonic Generations completely skipped Nintendo consoles.
We got some salty Sonic fans in here acting like we're in the middle of the Genesis/SNES war.
@Alrus
Well, yeah the Sonic Advance games, Sonic Battle, the Mario & Sonic Olympic titles, Colors, Secret Rings, the RPG one from Bioware.
And Sonic & The Black Knight, which I'm not sure I should be even mentioning this game out in public.

I WISH this were the SNES/Genesis war.

Trust me, I am trying to be nice and cordial about this annoucement...

Which is why I don't understand your sudden anger about this news. If anything it was one of the most obvious franchise coming to Wii U in the future.
This certainly doesn't mean Sonic is never ever coming to other platforms in the future. Because it certainly will.
My anger was based on the same principle for Bayonetta 2, exclusivity is OK, but there are trade offs to it, shunning other potential buyers is never a good idea. But the upside is that it will likely drive sales up and give some proper incentive to buy a Wii U.
Again, I can't argue with the business aspect, but I'm not exactly thrilled...
Yeah. I'm feeling kind of surprised about this as well, all things considered. Pretty happy that people seem to be interested in the new game, though.Of all the things to trigger another wave of salt on GAF, I never once thought it would be an exclusive Sonic game. I feel an odd mixture of pride and bewilderment.
With Boyonetta it is said that the game wouldn't exist were it not for Nintendo.

True... But Platinum Games's first remark was they wanted to bring Bayonetta 2 to a larger audience of gamers.
That irked me a bit.
