Sonic Lost World Wii U Exclusive

Just don't focus on platforming. Colors proved that they have no idea how to do that right. From both a design perspective as well as a control and mechanical one, that shit was well below satisfactory.

Because I could type far worse things than what I am writing...

I mean, exclusivity deals with the Wii U? Ubisoft and Tecmo have already changed their mind, why would SEGA pursue this?

I really hope you're just feigning this. This is saltier than a double down sandwich dude, get a grip.

Because Sonic sells better on Nintendo platforms, heck, Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed sold best on the Wii U, and Bayonetta 2 was revived by Nintendo because they're funding. You're just gonna have to deal with it.

Your attitude is pathetic. Sorry for being rude, but I hate this kind of attitude. Buy the platform which has the games you want. Done right there.

And what if I don't want a Wii U?

It's not about whether you want a Wii U or not, it is about whether you want the games on it, and it seems like you do.

And what if I don't want a Wii U?

I'm still a bit salty myself, goddamn. lol

I can't imagine myself buying a Wii U for this game. Knowing that Nexbox will probably get a true Next Gen version. I'll be jealous though.

Not me. Count me out.

You're not a "true" hardcore Sonic fans then. I think maybe roughly only a couple of thousand of them exist, but hey 2,000 systems sold could increase a monthly output of Wii U consoles by 10%

These are the hardcore Sonic fans I'm referencing. The ones that get excited for a relaunch of Sonic Adventure 2.

I mean, it's not like Nintendo exclusive Sonic games are a new thing at all.

There really isn't a history of Sega porting their Nintendo exclusive Sonic games to other platforms though.

On the flip side, Sonic games like Sonic Generations completely skipped Nintendo consoles.

@Alrus

Well, yeah the Sonic Advance games, Sonic Battle, the Mario & Sonic Olympic titles, Colors, Secret Rings, the RPG one from Bioware.

And Sonic & The Black Knight, which I'm not sure I should be even mentioning this game out in public.

Which is why I don't understand your sudden anger about this news. If anything it was one of the most obvious franchise coming to Wii U in the future.

This certainly doesn't mean Sonic is never ever coming to other platforms in the future. Because it certainly will.

I mean, if a system has games you want, shouldn't it be a system you want? Regardless of anything to do with the hardware itself, systems are ultimately judged on their library so if the games are there you should be too.

STOP ANNOUNCING THESE GAMES I WANT I DON'T WANT YOUR SYSTEM is a weird angle to take.

We got some salty Sonic fans in here acting like we're in the middle of the Genesis/SNES war.

Meh I'm salty, but this happened before with Sonic Colors, so meh. I needed my Smash fix at some point, just gives me more incentive to pick up a Wii-U at some point.

It's fucking weird though, I now give a damn about the Wii-U. . .

Still coming to grips with it.

My anger was based on the same principle for Bayonetta 2, exclusivity is OK, but there are trade offs to it, shunning other potential buyers is never a good idea. But the upside is that it will likely drive sales up and give some proper incentive to buy a Wii U.

Again, I can't argue with the business aspect, but I'm not exactly thrilled...

Of all the things to trigger another wave of salt on GAF, I never once thought it would be an exclusive Sonic game. I feel an odd mixture of pride and bewilderment.

With Boyonetta it is said that the game wouldn't exist were it not for Nintendo.

Just make sure to give us a better sonic game on PS4, Next Xbox, and PC down the line and the universe will be balanced once again.

Yeah. I'm feeling kind of surprised about this as well, all things considered. Pretty happy that people seem to be interested in the new game, though.

Prepping for Generations was fun. I hope we get to replicate that for Lost Worlds.

Because Sonic games sell better on Nintendo platforms.

Period.

True... But Platinum Games's first remark was they wanted to bring Bayonetta 2 to a larger audience of gamers.

That irked me a bit.

and you'd rather them either bring it to everyone or have it not exist at all?

Seems pretty petty

Well how else will they get the Wii U to sell? I'm sure there will be more third party exclusives on Wii U that will make people mad, and I'm sure that's the same when a third party exclusive gets announce for PS4 and Xbox 720.

You can't have every game on your preferred console, and Nintendo fans know this for sure.
