I wasn't paying attention at the time because like most sane people I didn't own a Saturn, but was Sonic R a full priced game when it was released?
Because there are like five tracks in that game and I can't imagine any situation or price that I would pay for that game alone and not feel ripped off.

I got it when it was new in 97. I thought it was great, granted I was 8 and thought Sonic games were gifts from gods.

It's longer when you're trying to collect all of the coins and characters... but yeah, still pretty short.

In other news! I just bought a physical copy of the Sonic Generations soundtrack "Blue Blur". It's pretty slick. The packaging is pretty nice and it even comes with some pretty neat stickers. It's a great 3 disc soundtrack with some awesome remixes you may have missed if you didn't play both versions of the game.

I wish I could afford physical releases of the various Sonic soundtracks. I do have Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Boom (an arranged version of the North American Sonic CD soundtrack), and Shadow the Hedgehog.

As for Sonic R, I played it originally on the PC. It's been so long that I don't recall if I had a controller or just used the keyboard. Now I have it on the Sonic Gems Collection, as our family never owned a Saturn.

Finally got a cheap 360 after all these years of putting it off. Tried Sonic Unleashed and wow, it runs a lot better than the PS3 version. I might actually bother playing through the whole thing now.

Also i seen Transformers 4. It is a much better movie than the critics say. *to be honest, i feel like the critics have came in expecting to hate it* I was skeptical, but i must say, the edition of Mark Walhberg made the movie fun. it doesn't help that that my major issues with the past movies were gone for the most part. *the Military showing up, because USA! USA!, unlikeable protaganists like Shia and Megan Fox,* also i feel like the action and explosion is more clear.

I think I'm going to use this holiday weekend to play and beat Sonic Generations on the 3DS. I know my older brother already went through it around when it came out, but I saw some videos of the levels and decided against playing it then. Maybe I'm up for disappointment and frustration this weekend...

Coincidentally, I've been watching a playthrough on youtube cus I have no access to a way of playing it atm and got an urge to know the story, and I'm at the same point. It's a shame I can't do the puzzles myself but it seems the story is the main thing.
