Sons of Anarchy - Season 5 - Tuesdays on FX

I think this has potentially been the best season yet, but we'll see how the finale plays out.

Yeah, I'd wait for the finale. I said last season was great and then the finale fucked it all up. The good thing is this season has a less likely chance of a reset button being pressed.

One thing that bugs me is that most of the club members still don't know about Clay putting the hit on Tara.

I thought the same thing, but then realized if Jax said any of it during the meeting he would just look like a whiney bitch for no reason. No matter what Bobby would be voting no and all it would do is make everyone else hate Clay more and probably cause more fractures in the club.

Here is a tweet Kurt Sutter posted earlier this year that has some insight into the future seasons.

He has to be talking about Donal Logue's character

That could have been said about Pope and Trejo too. At least a little bit. The last couple season finale's have seemed to mostly set up the next season rather than resolve the current.

Good to think about more Logue though. His character is pretty great. He kind of reminds me of a more brutal Potter.

Had a dream the other night where I was voted out of the club and Jax was the one to kill me. He was super nice about it and said it'd be quick and all that. He put the gun (silenced) to my head and killed me. It was super creepy like I felt my eyes just shut on their own and I fell onto a couch.

Haha! :D

I agree with some posters how the conversation between Jax and Pope's right hand man seemed a little weird. Why would they have a convo like that? It would seem like the idea is to off Pope and Jax would work with the new boss.

I felt kind of bad for Wendy with Jax shooting her up with the needle. I actually thought he was going to shoot her in the head or something, considering how many people Jax has shot this season.

Clay has been a snake these past couple of season but I thought his scene with him getting his tats removed was well done. He's in good shape for a dude his age.

About next week's preview,
it sure looked like Jax was delivering Tig to Pope personally. I'd be kind of bummed to see that character go
but I really have no idea how that'll play out.

I can't buy that Jax could turn Pope's 2nd in command with one brief conversation.

Same thing with him and Bobby going to Lin and asking him to make the gun deal with the cartel. Unless there are other meetings we didn't see, it seemed like that was the first time they met with Lin about the issue. Seemed like a quick turnaround.

The world of SoA - ask for something and you get it.

I find myself hating everyone on this show more and more as the weeks go...

... Except for Chibbs. Chibbs is my man.

I know Jax has something planned for Pope. There's no way he lets the man responsible for the murder of his best friend unscathed.

Finally caught up on this season. Just gotta watch the last episode. Thank you based internet. Jax is fucking cold blooded this season. I love it. Chibbs is my new favorite character on the show now that Ope's dead. Clay is a scumbag but why turn down the offer to be head of the table? What's his end game and what did he mean he's got something cooking up when he mentioned it to Tig..I really hope they keep Pope around, but if the club kills him, I won't care. And whats up with Toric? I'm sure some of my questions will be answered when I watch the last episode..all in all, minus some stupid decisions(Gemma and Tara) I like this season.

Hah, I had no idea Charlie was in Children of Men.
You should have him start smoking a lot and break out that hair style next season. ;)

Just marathoned this season this week. Good stuff. So much stuff that still requires you to suspend disbelief, but in terms of entertainment this season has been up there with the best this show has to offer.

Can't wait for the finale now.

Fuck Bobby and fuck Clay.

This. Clay is already trying to put together a rival crew and will surely screw things up for the Sons.

Bobby has a false sense of moral superiority that blinds him to the fact that Clay is a traitor, has caused virtually all of the Sons' major problems, and needs to die before he hurts again.

Fuck Bobby and fuck Clay.
I had mixed feelings about Bobby for about 2 seasons but when he
sided with clay
i lost all respect for him as a character, he is a piece of shit.

It's a minor spoiler from a few eps ago, don't even know if it warrants a spoiler but i threw one on it anyways.

Bobby is trying to do what he feels is best for the club, nothing more and nothing less.

He has to deal with an all-around shitty situation that, yes, he is an outsider on.

What's best for the club is to put Clay down.

Bobby is being selfish, putting his own desires above those of every other member. His logic is flawed. Clay being alive means more shit to deal with in the future.

Says the man with a donut for a head. How smart can you be?

I still think Jax needs to go outside the club and deal with Clay. Fuck the VP as well.

Who's to say he isn't already. :p

At least that's my theory. I seem to be the only one really thinking it though. The Pope/Cartel/Jax stuff in the last episode seemed too odd for there to not be more to it.

I'm really interested to see how many 90 minute episodes we do next season. Half? All?

Wasn't this season pretty much half already? At least it seemed like it. I could be wrong but the first episode and the last 4 episodes plus the finale? Might only have been the last three episodes though. So 5-6 in total. I say just go the full season at this point.

As much as I'm interested in the Sons, I'm most interested in seeing what happens with Nero and Pope. I personally don't feel like we've gotten to know each character well enough for them to not be on the show anymore, especially Pope. But, we'll see what the mad genius Sutter has in mind.

I was thinking that Pope was just gonna be a 1 season character, but seeing that he's vested in
Charming Heights
, that may be a different story. Jax passed off the muling to the Mayans IIRC, so Pope might be out of the picture, unless he's gonna come back and deal with Pope for
essentially having Opie killed. I'd rather him kill Pope than give Pope Tig.
