So Clay somehow got the Nomads to steal the marriage documents? I'm guessing he wants to be able to not split his assets when he breaks up with Gemma. The question is how did he convince the Nomads to do it when he doesn't have any actual authority anymore and the fact that this home invasion will hurt the club by making them think it was the Niners? A full on gang war is brewing and the Lobo cartel war is still on everyone's minds, plus the fact that Clay just killed a senior member supposedly in self defense.

It also seems like he was trying to get Opie to do something rash as the rest of the club is going to be in jail for a while so perhaps Clay is going to get a chance to be President again? I can totally see him sacrificing Tig to the Niners'n addition to Jax of course, so that he can be back at the top. He still doesn't know that Jax is necessary to keep the CIA and the RICO case at bay.

I'm guessing Unser will recognize the Nomad with the prosthetic and figure out what is going on. Ironically, he's the last character I expect to get killed off.
Pope looks like he came from the early 90's. It's his hair and suits I think.

He probably is considering he's the founder of the gang and had a daughter that was at least 20-something.

Anyone know what song was playing over the last few minutes? Kinda liked it.

Good episode as always (when they're not fucking around in Ireland). Really liking Jimmy Smits!

Also, Robocop directed this episode? How did I not know this.

My guess is Clay is going to rise up by the end of the season he'll have his own biker gang.

Not a bad episode. I thought something was going to happen to Jax once he told about the marriage thing at least it wasn't that cliche

Ok I can't read much because I have not seen 2nd episode of this season yet. But just wanted to show off my avatar shamelessly.

Why would you be done? I love his character as much as anyone, but this is a show about a dangerous world and dangerous life from which nobody is safe.

Everything in the last episode pretty much set us up for
Opie dying while protecting Jax
.

Opie is the best. It can't be him. It just can't!

This is precisely why it has to be him. He is the best. He's too good for the club which has taken so much from him.

I hate the thought of it, but it seems this is what we've been building up for quite awhile.

Knowing Kurt, it will probably be a character who's stuck in limbo and of almost no consequence.

C'ya Juice.

C'ya Juice.

Wouldn't that be Chibs? After the ireland stuff he wasn't too significant other than being everyone's best friend last season. Juice still has the whole snitch thing to come up. It was touched on in both the last two episodes.

You take that back!

I'll absolutely hate it, but it's what I'm expecting. His random touching moment during the wedding made me think it even more.

Good point.

But you cannot kill a man who drinks whiskey from a juice box.

So I re watched every single episode up until season four episode 3 I think. Going to plow through season 4 again, then re watch ep 1 and 2 from S5.

Fuck I need a life. Breaking bad where are you???

I love this show, but there isn't an ounce of immediacy in it. I also never feel like that any of the main characters are in true danger. Things often don't fall in their favor, but at the same time I know nothing is going to happen to them that won't destroy the club.

Indeed. They've only offed two significant members this whole time with Half-Sack and Piney. Then they pulled a giant deus ex machina to save Clay despite having a whole season setting up the many needs for his death.

I'll believe it when I see it.

i watched both episodes and it's a marked improvement over the last season. i didn't particularly like the way they tried to make viewers feel sorry or sympathetic towards trigger, especially after his actions in the eeason 4 finale.

I feel this was a long time coming for him. flying off the handle as he did in the season 4 finale is the reason what happened to him happened. I felt no sympathy for him and I found it insulting the writers were trying to illicit some sympathy for him while making the other guy, who I felt was more wronged, appear evil.

Tiggie may be the most tragic character of the show. He may be a bit of a scumbag (well, he's a stone cold killer after all) but he's been having some rough fucking time.

I agree. his actions towards opie and donna and the fallout made me feel sorry for him and everything that happened to him after with his infatuation for gemma and so on. it's in season 4 that I started to harden towards him and his actions in the finale cemented those feelings. he's no longer a tragic figure in my eyes, but one who is completely corrupt and beyond any salvation.

I hate that the writers tried to make me feel sorry for him during the season 5 premiere, knowing what he did and at the cost of pope, it wasn't possible and I felt what happened was a long long time coming, my only disappointment was that it wasn't him.

I hope it's tig but mernst23 is onto something with it being tara.

Tara serves a purpose.

To take away Gemma's screen time. I liked her in the first season or two, but she's had almost no character development. She's still the same character she was in the beginning, just maybe a little nicer. It's annoying by now. Even more annoying then Kurt insisting on having this constant rollercoaster relationship with Tara and Jax.

plus they still need her around for when they bring in Wendy. They brought it up last season and in all the previews for the show they showed her.

My guess is Unser. He really serves no purpose anymore since he's just a housedad now.

If it's not him then it's Opie because his would actually be significant. Protecting Jax and all that to make him look heroic, while being reckless in his death because of the death of his wife and father. A lot of writers seem to love adding that into characters.

Gotta be Tara. The impromptu wedding seals her fate. She serves no purpose on the show anymore. She's Gemma light and takes away form her screen time. Plus the additional making Jax go crazy thing will be a factor since he's had no reason to lose control as leader yet.
meh, she's still in the midst of a character evolution, would be really surprised if something happened to her.

Unser, to me, doesn't seem big enough to justify the hype surrounding the upcoming episode. It would have to be a character more important to the overall narrative. I would be very surprised, and impressed, if it were Tara.

I'm pretty sure it won't be Tara but I could be wrong. Pope said in the promo for episode 3
"I need a dead son." I'm betting it'll be Ope or Tig.

I don't see it being Tig either. They're obviously trying to tell a story with him, I think he has a lot more to play out. I really think it will be Chibbs or Opie or someone not in prison (juice or whichever).
