Sony E3 2014 Conference Thread

From all the games that they showed there was just one that caught my attention: No Man's Sky. There is just... something about the whole exploration coupled with the fact that it all just goes seamless with the traversing between space and planets. I love it.
 
I think some have forgotten this is E3... And that doesn't stand for games games games. Its an industry show the upcoming electronics and entertainment. It has been just as much about hardware, as it has been about games... There are plenty of other games conferences that pump out trailer after trailer.. With gameplay added in.

Just got around to watching the conference and I'm a happy PS4 owner. No Man's Sky stole the show but I'm also excited for Hotline Miami 2, Diablo 3, Phantom Pain, Bloodborne, The Last of Us, Grim Fandango and Mortal Kombat X.

Abzu was disappointing considering the people behind it but I'll hold out hope. I'm a little disappointed we didn't get a Hot Shots Golf announcement but that's probably more suited to TGS.

I hope I'll finally be able to use my Vita TV import with a NA account.

I actually like this. E3 is usually dead after the conferences take places, but this year it looks like companies have spread details across the entire show.

I'm bummed we haven't seen anything of Rime or Shadow of the Beast. But like other people said, Gamescom will most likely include those two, I can't wait for that.

Also, where is Deep Down? Wasn't this supposed to be Q1/Q2 initially? Where is the Witness, I remember the creator said he is hoping for a Q1 release of the game as well. That was my most anticipated indie after Rime.. which brings me to question number 3, where is Rime? :P I think the latter two will be shown at Gamescom but throwing us a bone during the press conference would help.

It was cancelled while ago, and they also had Driveclub, Rime, The Last Guardian,The Whitness, Shadow of the Beast, Guerrilla new IP, Media Molecule new IP and others to be shown there if they wanted to fill the hole with more game.

They just did want to put this tv series there to announve PS+ is getting this stuff.
 
I honestly would have been happy if Sony ended the conference with

"anyone here watch game of thrones? "

Once my ps4 gets HBO go, the only reason I'll still need my 360 is to finish the last chapter in wolf among us

amazon is doing the same deal, on top of that some of the games are 10 bucks cheaper then bestbuy/fs prior to the discount being applied. plus free shipping if you have prime

so lower cost at amazon :)
 
i was really liking the bundle that the white ps4 was offering, but i was more interested in a black console instead.


now, i'm not too sure. i might just be buying my first white console ever later this year. i do want to play destiny, so there's that.

playstation tv also, maybe, for another dualshock 3 controller?
 
Replace Shawn with Jack, does it matter? Personally it would've for me. People always like to give the new guy a tough time, including me :P

There's no possible way Sony's price announcement was a reaction to Microsoft's conference. Something like the price target of the console is determined YEARS in advance and the hardware is designed around such a target. What would their "other" price option even be? And why didn't they go with that option considering the high price of the Xbone? Seriously, it makes no logical sense.
 
Really disappointed with the conference, I was hopping for more.
The only surprise for me was Grim Fandango remake and it will be a day-one buy.
As a fan of Uncharted, it was a very weak teaser.

Supposedly, the other option would've been to bundle in the camera at a higher price, but Sony chose to go with the $399 standalone system instead.

It was actually weird considering they already announced it (and didn't they before show some clip with an island coming out of the water or something? Or was that a different game).
I guess we will a bit more over the course of the year but a real trailer / gameplay walkthrough only at that SpikeTV/VGX event show? With a release in Early/Mid 2015 it would fit I guess.
