Huh? GT3 on PS2 came out April 2001, PS2 came out March 2000. That's 13 months in-between. Not to mention GT3 came out on NA and EU July of 2001. GT6 on PS3 will coincide with the PS4 launch date. Big difference.
Again, learn to read my post. Sony won't be in "bad shape", but the demand for hardware because of a Gran Turismo game will be huge, in addition to the sales of PS4s without a GT game. Of course they want to sell consoles, but they would not want to sell 50 million PS4s during their first year. And you also glossed over the fact that GT6 will cannibalize software sales of the other games.
If you keep on insisting GT6 on PS4 is a good move, then by my guest. An 80 million install base, plus GT tech for PS3 being used once again are enough reasons to put GT6 on PS3. Polyphony has done 2 GTs per generation, suddenly it's "utterly stupid" to release it on PS3 based on what again? Wishful thinking.

The Uncharted series might very well be my favourite soundtrack. As for inFamous 2, I preferred the original's score. That Amon Tobin goodness.

Little know about the game, although it's a pity it didn't live up to expectations despite the enormous investment and potential in it.
There's no need to get angry: People are excited for the event, not the beginning of the work week you seem to pine for.

Big difference on what? What i was trying to say is that GT2 came in very close to the launch of the PS2, like GT6 and the launch of the PS4.
Then i mentioned that GT3 was mid 2001 for the PS2, like you said, just one year after the new system.
The same thing right now would mean a GT7 in holidays of 2014, which is unreasonable to expect. What might happen in that timeframe is a port, different scenario considering dev cycles are so bigger these days.
And why it could be bad? Because some people might be turned off by a port and wait for a proper next gen sequel.
The rest is just a difference in opinion. I still find it hard to believe that any plataform holder whould skip on launching with their biggest IP because it would increase demand or hurt other titles.
Ah, so you took the bait! Like i needed any more confirmation...
Couldn't care less about Respawn...but Mirror's Edge 2? UGH. I still use that yellow messenger bag that came with my pre-order.
Still, I can live without it. I'd be upset, but it's no dealbreaker.

Made sense last generation, because there were radically different architectures.
But nowadays it doesn't.
I think exclusive means it can take advantage of the platform like nothing else can, when everything else is compromised by it's competing platforms.

E3 starts monday. i see nothing wrong with them doing so. just like they were excited before the ps4 reveal and the people that stayed excited for E3 before they even gave a date for sony's event.

Yeah I really loved a lot of stuff about LAIR. I just feel sad over how it was marred with issues. I love dragons, dragon games, and LAIR really did convey a sense of being crazy powerful, flying over those massive battles.

Especially the fact that Microsoft has been yelling "Games games games! Please love us! Don't fret!" all week long and Sony has just taken the back seat because they don't need validation whatsoever in front of their audience. I can imagine them saying, "Games at E3? That's like saying 'animals at a zoo'".

The only thing that worries me about Sony's presser is whether they'll have time to cover everything given they have so many platforms to support. I expect many montages
If there is one thing about Sony you can know it's that conference length doesn't really matter to them. I'm pretty sure if they need to go over 2 hours they will.
2 hours is a lot of time though so I doubt they'll be rushing through anything.

Actually, E3 starts Tuesday.
And I don't even understand what you are trying to debate here: Were are more than six days out from their conference, unless you are trying to redefine time.
I can understand people getting hyped and pulling the trigger too early, which is why we have the "five days" pictures already posted. That doesn't change the fact that there are still more than six days left to the Sony conference. Posting early won't mean Sony will have an earlier showing, which is why it is misleading.

I'm so pumped that they're haven't been any leaks yet. I hope they're holding everything very close to the vest this time.
In the past, when the pressers weren't as accessible, I loved leaks. Now that we can watch along pretty easily, though, I'd rather be surprised by all the big announcements. Keep the ship sealed for 6 more days, Sony!

Indeed, that's one of mine. I had the idea about three days before the PlayStation Meeting, found the perfect image...
