Sony E3 press conference; June 10th 6PM PT/9PM ET

I still like the "Heat" parody the most.

One thing's for sure: The hype is rising to dangerous levels for me, finally getting a clearer picture of the PS4 and its lineup is going to be amazing. I'm already excited for quite a few of the exclusive titles shown at the Meeting (Knack, Infamous: Second Son, Driveclub, The Witness, Killzone: Shadow Fall - the graphics seem amazing!) - let's hope some of them are ready come November!

Exactly. Remember when everyone moaned about 'seeing the same trailer that they saw days ago, already knowing it's ellen page so not a surprise', etc.?

What's the general consensus on the Vita at the Sony conference? Let me present a couple options:

1.) Vita Price Cut
2.) Vita Price Cut, Accessories Price Cut (Memory Cards)
3.) No Vita Price Cut, New Vita Bundles (With Games or Bundled with PS4)
4.) New Vita Hardware (Internal memory, additional shoulder buttons)
5.) Sizzle reel of new Vita games, nothing more

I'd be very interested to see what people are thinking. I just picked up a Vita bundle during the Amazon deal going on right now that comes with a year of PS+, a few games, a 4gb memory card, +$50 amazon card. I'm thinking a price cut would be about $50, in which case, I'm good, but I'm keeping it in the box just in case there's new hardware announced during E3, or an even bigger price cut.

I think that's my fave, too. One of my all time favourite films, and it works so well - the classic face to face scene with Pacino and De Niro becoming Kaz and Ballmer, Pacino's tweaked quote, and 'A Los Angeles Crime Saga' becoming 'A Los Angeles Expo Saga'. Making these pics and kazified/cernified avatars helps me handle the almost intolerable wait until the 10th. :)

I hope they confirm 2013 EU release. Also price from both Sony and MS thx.

If PS4 was delayed till 2014 in EU they would be looking pretty incompetent when Nintendo managed a world wide launch for Wii U and MS seems to have 2013 in the bag.

It might actually be better for TLG to be a highlighted launch or launch window title for the PS4 instead of getting lost in the GT6 and Beyond: Two Souls shuffle this year on PS3.
Theres also a case to be made that the same people who will buy The Last Guardian are the same people who will buy a PS4 early.

They pretty much confirmed it with the Champions League advertising. I wouldn't worry about it atm.
 
I don't get why many people are just digging for any leaks? Why ruin it for everybody?
I'd rather know nothing at all then watch for a couple hours and let Sony surprise the fuck out of me with everything at once. That's why I'm kinda avoiding any threads that might have any leaks!
 
I think any leaks should be treated how spoilers are treated on GAF. That way the people who really don't want anything given away can avoid them and not be spoiled by thread titles and whatnot.

that other guy's post suggested sony losing out on announcing stuffs and may have to move some stuff ahead of schedule
 
I would like one small-to-medium leak... just so we have something to talk about for 6 days.

And as someone who isn't in the industry i find it absolutely shocking how little of each conference is locked down right now. Earlier today I heard a third party pub that was showing with sony was about to jump ship to ms for money and eventually came back to sony (no idea if that's for money as well...). I asked a friend if things being this up in the air was normal and he said 'oh yeah.'

That's a hilarious tactic by MS if actually true... instead of showing your games games games games at E3 you bribe publishers to not show their Sony stuff so you can look stronger (without necessarily being stronger).

Not really a position of confidence.

I don't know why Sony would even bother showing third party stuff. Destiny makes sense, because Halo is the definitive Xbox series, and Sony have it's creator associating itself with PS4, that's a fair use of conference time. Any third party exclusives too of course. But random third party games? I can't imagine Sony can fit all the first party stuff they want in the conference as it is.

Well, it may have not be payoffs, but it was pretty common to see games mostly shown off on the 360 during this generation. Even in the somewhat rare occasions when a particular game ran better on the PS3. I guess it always sort of helped have multiplatform games associated with the 360 by having those buttons popup on screen instead of PS buttons.
 
Cboat makes it sound like MS isn't going to crush Sony when it comes to games. Not surprising but oh well.

I think they might be toe to toe when it comes to games they show. Will be hard to say who wins E3 (tho I do have personal bias towards Sony and slightly at Nintendo as well :3)

I wouldn't put too much stock in MS bribing publishers to not show up at Sony's conference. Whilst corporate shenanigans do happen, the publishers Sony has tried to court for E3 and beyond aren't the ones who'd be moved thanks to the kind of money they'd actually be offered (were it actually offered). Plus, I somehow don't think MS would actually be that silly to try and attempt such a thing with big publishers. I also wouldn't put too much stock in there being so many Western publishers not showing up on the PS4. If anything, I'd say that the two potentially biggest Western exclusives that could cause shockwaves (one from a surefire commercially massive developer, and one from a pretty successful commercial one but more of meltdown inducing one), will be on the PS4. Basically, enjoy the ride. Both E3 2013 and 2014 will be pretty amazing for Sony fans.

because it sells consoles to have third party big titles like FIFA, COD etc associated with the PS4. Sony will lose lots of console sales to MS if those titles only are associated with the xbox one

Well, I'll be checking a livestream on the way back from a work related trip so I'll be sure to check GAF's reaction. I think I'll still be here since you all will likely still be squealing from the Final Fantasy game shown.

What does ''scooping up publishers not to show PS4 games'' even mean?

That they are moneyhatting exclusives/just showing up at MS presentation instead of Sony weeks before E3? C'mon now.

Or just throwing money away so they do not appear on either presentation? :lol

KH3 is 2015+ that is for sure but it might show up next week. It's pretty on par with previous KH announcements. At least I hope it does :D. You gotta believe.

World of Warcraft and Half Life 3 announced for PS4. Steam and PS4 crossplay and the ability to stream PS4 games onto Steam through Gaikai. The PS4 is shaped like a box or in other words, the Steam Box. Every PS4 game released must have trading cards and droppable hats. MEGATON!
