Wasn't it said that GTA V wasn't going to go next gen though? They could always reverse the decision but if they announced it at E3 could that not possibly interfere with sales for the PS3?

Strange image, the controller looks more like the early dev controllers:

Rather than the final design:

It's probably a dev kit controller.

You can say that FF sells more than FO and ME combined all you want, but MS getting FO4, and ME2 exclusive is a huge deal. It shows variety of exclusives on the Xbone, and makes the console much more desirable for plenty of people.

EDIT: Although the DS4's d-pad seems more seperated and the Share/Select buttons seem to be more like the final version.

It is the final version. You need to look at it more closely but the poor lighting may be inhibiting that.

Am I the only one that thinks Destiny looks exactly the same as PlanetSide 2.

Nope. It has that feel but unlike simple arena based shooter it'll be far more structured. It's closer to WoW than PS2.

I don't think we'll hear anything about GTA V on next gen until after its released on PS360.

I think you can just barely make out the new design's grip seperation on the twitter pic at the bottom of the left handle.

Yeah, I thought I saw that too but wasn't sure.

Figured I'd post it anyway because it was interesting. I think the controller they have is a dev controller, but closer to the final design Sony showed off at the unveil. It has more of the classic Playstation finish instead of a more matte look.

I mean visually mostly since I don't really know anything about Destiny yet aside from basic premise of the gameplay. But when I see pics of planetside 2 and then the shots of destiny. Kinda seem the same to me.

Hmm. Visually I suppose it does look similar with the ice moon Europa and all that, but some of the structures in the concept art looks more story driven, which would not appear in PS2.

Man the Beyond SE looks nice, especially for a free upgrade. Glad they changed the cover now:

Still hoping for the PS4 port :( At least we'll probably get some more gameplay at E3.

Going to be amazing. The acting from the very early trailers looked superb. I've been on a media blackout (same with TLoU) since those early trailers though. Can't wait to finally see what the final game looks like.

I've been pretty disappointed with Sony and MS this generation, in terms of retail releases anyway. I think UC2 was really good, InFamous 2 was even better, Halo 3 and Reach were both great, but for the most part, neither first party are really anything special to me.

I'm sure InFamous SS will be incredible, but the UC2 people aren't going to be shipping a PS4 game for a couple of years. It's basically all on third parties for me, outside of The Last Guardian anyway.

To be fair, it's not a competition, because I've already decided I don't want XBO. But if, (and it's a big if), MS actually has a bunch of Fallout 4 caliber exclusives, (and I mean real exclusives, not also on PC), it's going to seriously suck for PS4 only owners.

I have full faith in Versus XIII to be an incredible game, but everyone will cave at a certain price. I personally don't think a billion dollars would get the job done, but if they spend enough, they can just buy victory.

It's pretty transparent that ANY third party exclusive will only be timed anyway. So it's never going to suck that much anyway.

If Sony is paying for development of FF15 then maybe it'll be different, but I suspect even that'll come over to Xbox eventually.

The speakers on the Dev Kit controller and the controller in the image that Bungie Tweeted are different.

Notice that Bungie's controller has less speaker holes than the dev kit controller. I am pretty confident they have an updated/final design in comparison to the dev kit controller. The speaker holes on Bungie's controller are the exact same layout as the official images of the controller released by Sony.

While we never had a date, was Versus intended to be a PS3 exclusive originally? I can't recall ever hearing talk of a 360 release.

Would be funny to see Sheldon from TBBT come on stage and make his own announcement: "From now on, friday night is Destiny night."

"On the X... Bazinga! Got you! Why would I come here to say that?"

There'll be no difference between real life and the game as I imagine it. The PS3 one already looks so good. I think we'll probably see the climax of PS4 MLB graphics in the third game.

I'm really excited for a next gen Show. I'm obviously a baseball nerd and it's going to be orgasmic for me.

As I mentioned before, I think it's a dev version but a lot closer to the final product. Maybe it's just cooky lighting, but to me it looks like it still retains the classic DS controller finish, instead of the nicer new matte finish seen in new photos of the DS4.

I was looking for that last night and couldn't find it. I could only find a view 96 E3 overview videos and Nintendo's N64 unveiling.

Damn. Do you have a link to that N64 unveiling? Was it the full one, or just a clip?

Hmm, well even then it's hardly anymore a financial investment than paying for the marketing which I believe Microsoft will do with Titanfall.

I just don't think third party games are exclusive. Ever again.
Well Sony have held on to their third party exclusives this generation, although to be fair, I think MGS4 is the only one of them that would have needed to be held on to, so it's hard to say.

I guess we'll find out, but despite all the rumors, I still don't believe third party exclusives are coming back in any meaningful amounts. I won't be surprised if Titan and FFXV are pretty much it.

I don't think Bungie's is the final design yet. In the E3 teaser the shot of the DS4 showed that the Share/Option buttons were different. The Bungie one looks like the updated one from the PS Meeting.

Lol, one of the better jokes i read this week.

Sony is going to spend 20 minutes on GT6 alone.

And i won't mind, as long as they show a teaser of GT on PS4.

so I guess we're in the "lowering our expectation" phase

I've been up and down these last few days. I don't know ho to feel anymore.

I read that as "Shaaaaaun!". lol

One of the best games of all time.

Big shocker would be R* coming out on Sony stage.

We present you Agent on PS4 full gameplay blowout and releasing next year.

mindblown

Agent turned out to be LA Noire, i thought everyone knew that. The agreement was postponed and nobody knows what is it right now. And exclusive Red Dead would be awesome.

I think these comments made in Feb we are looking at $400 to $450
When asked if the company was prepared to compete with other consoles and hit a more favorable price, Yoshida said that Sony's decisions to use custom AMD hardware instead of its own proprietary Cell architecture has allowed it to save on R&D and production costs.

"The architecture choice we have made this time around has allowed us not to invest to create dedicated factories and conducting factories and things like that — so that helps in order for us to provide an affordable price to consumers."

I certainly hope not. I think we’re very proud of what we delivered with the PlayStation 3 in terms of technology, and that we were able to enhance the features while still reducing the price to $249. But I think our goal with this is to debut at a more consumer-friendly price. But we haven’t made any final decisions about what the price will be at launch.

what the hell is happening here?

Whats with all the excitement around speculative pipe dreams? get real guys.

We are excited because of the official PS4 reveal! AND WE ARE GONNA GET SOME!!

Why do a few of you want GTA5 to be a next-gen exclusive? What is the point?

The game will already be out on PS3/360 at that point. There was no co-development going on. It's purely money exchanging hands to convince a multi-platform publisher restrict the game on another platform.

You are a stronger man than I'm :(

Good for you though. There are some crazy surprises coming your way if you didn't watch the latest gameplay stuff or the latest trailer.
