I'm thinking the same. The only really big title that doesn't come to pc is Red Dead Redemption. If that became an xbone exclusive, I'll admit, if I don't get a xbone, that'd hurt.

Not really. As small as it is, Mirrors Edge has a fanbase while Fuse does not.

When Square leaves FFXIII behind it'll go back to megaton status. Some will try hard to make it not sound like a big deal because XIII was disappointing. But come on. It's a big deal. And when the machine gets rolling close to release, hype will be at full spin. Especially if the new one is looking solid.

Still, the "Final Fantasy" brand sells. Heck, even XIII-2 which was kind of just "oh god why" is one of the highest selling PS3 titles in Japan STILL. It's been beaten/equaled by a few other games, but it's pretty crazy that a bit of an unwanted sequel still sold rather well.

Yup. And if it gets remade as FF15 the hype machine is going to speed up once more. More importantly, I think it will be a sign the PS4 is more of a "global" console than the Xbone will be.

what's funny is I'm anticipating MANY games. I mean I would love a new fallout, and a new naughty dog game and to see the santa monica game, etc.... but truth be told, I'd take versus over literally any other game that could possibly be revealed.

Been gone for like 30 pages... What's up?
Well, I think it will be more obvious right away. MS went in pretty hard with the 360 trying to get Japan support. It took awhile for the PS3 to catch up. I don't expect this with PS4. PS4 will hit the ground running with Japan support on day one.

A mainline FF game tends to be a high production audio-visual spectacle. Square Enix have been trolling everyone this gen. They have made tons of bad decisions but once they settle and start churning out quality FF games, the brand will recover. A lot of people are craving for a JRPG to blow their minds, so an exclusive FF game can definitely be a megaton.

Actually the Bungie devs themselves are doing it for the most part now. Understandable since it is the reveal of their next big game and Sony probably paid for it, but still funny to see all this talk about PS4 from them.
That was my thinking as well since hype would be at its strongest after the reveals and all. And the system preorders are certainly going to fill up within 24 hours I'd expect.
Regarding Versus, just an announcement and trailer would be enough for many though If they have gameplay shown that could bring more who don't know about it.

Indeed at this point clearly the Agent deal has been scrapped and swapped for something else.

EDIT: Although the DS4's d-pad seems more separated like the final version, while the prototype looks like the Vita's d-pad and the Share/Select buttons seem to be more like the final version.
I've been pretty disappointed with Sony and MS this generation, in terms of retail releases anyway. I think UC2 was really good, InFamous 2 was even better, Halo 3 and Reach were both great, but for the most part, neither first party are really anything special to me.
I'm sure InFamous SS will be incredible, but the UC2 people aren't going to be shipping a PS4 game for a couple of years. It's basically all on third parties for me, outside of The Last Guardian anyway.
To be fair, it's not a competition, because I've already decided I don't want XBO. But if, (and it's a big if), MS actually has a bunch of Fallout 4 caliber exclusives, (and I mean real exclusives, not also on PC), it's going to seriously suck for PS4 only owners.
I have full faith in Versus XIII to be an incredible game, but everyone will cave at a certain price. I personally don't think a billion dollars would get the job done, but if they spend enough, they can just buy victory.
