Sony has been quiet about EVERYTHING that wasn't revealed at PS Meeting, including games. Don't read into it.
I honestly hope they get called out on it where possible, but this is going to be the most confusing E3 yet now because of this situation. It's going to be hard as hell trying to source the facts behind what's going where and when.

As long as everything launches the same day it seems like a fruitless way to spend a lot of money. I mean, google news has headlines about the XBone DRM. I personally feel like that goes much further than a statement along the lines of "We are still evaluating platforms at this time."
It's what I could definitely see happening, especially with those parents buying it for their kids.
And this is conjecture on my part, but I'm kind of expecting that we'll have to advise customers that they need an internet connection to use the console. I hope we will at least as I've had several state they don't have or want to use it for online matters.

Kojima's gone full free agent by this point. I could see him showing up at either conference, but it would be sheer madness on his part not to announce a PS4 version of MGS5. Even if the game is still going to the PS3, they need to release on PS4 in Japan.
If Kojima does go XBonly for next gen MGS5, I can see Japanese MGS fans rioting. He'd get even more death threats than he did for his MGS2 trolling.

Maybe. But I also have a very long memory. Every Sony product I own has at least thing about it that makes me RAGE. Right now they are the lesser of two evils but I don't consider them the saviour of anything. They are still a corporation acting in their own interest after all.

This whole level of strategy by Microsoft is seriously harming our biggest hobby.
I don't know how much Mattrick has to do with it, but once he took over it was a complete gamechanger.
Microsoft became far more aggressive and lost every bit of integrity.
I always thought that competition is one of the needed factors of this buisness.
They surely pushed Sony and forced them to get active in any possible way with the PS3 launch disaster, but THIS outcome is one of the worst things to happen.
Who knows what's next in store when cboat say's that the plans are even worse ?
