I actually was born in April 1989. I've since looked to Google and found out Van Halen is a real band. I feel silly. But I don't really listen to anything besides traditional country, so pardon my musical ignorance.

Good to see that it isn't a direct reference to some social/news event going on. It manages to make points without being preachy and the VH plot and the drawing at the end where the high points. Haven't been keeping up with all the episodes but I could see how not seeing more characters being involved in the plots can become annoying. I guess part of the charm of the South Park has always been the cast of characters as much as the over blown scenarios.

I was born in 1989 and even I grew up listening to Val Halen. Then again, I grew up listening to my dad's music, so that's absolutely anything from Elton John to Depeche Mode to Megadeth to Black Sabbath to Radiohead to Bowie. And everything inbetween.

Can't think of anything worse today than sticking to one genre.

So true. one of the most satisfying episodes because it actually has cartman getting in trouble for his actions... he still doesnt learn anything in the end though. he still thinks he's "cuuuuu".
