SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Official Trailer

My favorite part was seeing
Garfield get redemption and saving MJ. Awesome. Also, they blew the opportunity to have all the Spideys pointing at each other like in the meme. I thought for sure they'd do that. We only stuck around for one post credit. Was there only 1? Or was there 2? Nice to see Eddie in that.

That got a huge cheer.

Second credit scene is the Doctor Strange 2 trailer, like how the first Avengers trailer was the credit scene on Captain America.

Ahh thanks. Damn... should of stuck around for it. Also...
Does Ned and MJ... will they still remember they fought along 2 spideys? Will Ned still know he can use magic? They only forget Peter right? I'd imagine they remember all the rest... meh, who knows... I'm looking too deep. Was a great movie.

just got back. I liked it a lot! I just wish we had got to see the world the other
spidermen were returning too. I had heard rumors Kristen Dunst was going to be In this and was sad not to see her.

Apparently that was going to happen but COVID changed things.

Probably going to have a differing opinion. Didn’t enjoy it and now realize how emotional this spiderman is. There’s a lot wrong with this movie and didn’t feel like it was a true celebration of previous spidermans. Tom Holland truly is the worst spiderman by being a dishonest Peter Parker. I always preferred Andrew Garfield‘s portrayal since that was the closest to comic Peter Parker. They did Dr. Strange dirty by having him be beat by spiderman. Further, giving Ned magic powers diminishes Strange’s skills.

My wife hated it and fell asleep. but then again she hates emotional guys and characters that do illogical things in ”selfish” ways. Like really, you’re going to jeopardize the entire universe for the sake of getting your friends into MIT? No one is that stupid. Also my wife kinda ruined the movie for everyone by yelling at the screen that spiderman is stupid whenever he does something based on his emotions. Literally every 1-2 minutes she would should “Spiderman is a dumbass”

anyone else laugh at the fact the black and gold suit was just an invert of the normal suit. so much speculation for such a silly thing

ok that’s just stupid. it’s a fun 8-9/10 super hero film, but it’s not some masterclass art 10/10 milestone film.

It's hard to say without another movie but considering how Happy reacts to Peter, I think they potentially could still be acquainted with Spiderman but don't know Peter at all or that he's behind the mask. However, I think it's more likely that since a lot of events involve Peter as a whole, it might have gotten overwritten with something new or totally wiped out. It just seems like it'd be better to do a clean start instead of them regaining the memories in a later film because of memory inconsistencies.

Your wife sounds like someone who shouldn't be allowed at the theater. Would throw popcorn at her.

Got imax tickets for tomorrow morning. Pretty stoked to see this.

Its not that good. Its my favorite MCU Spider-Man movie for sure but the first two Raimi movies are better. I would give this 7/10. Spoilers:
The biggest reason why I like this is the fan-service. Its just awesome to see the old characters again. They could have been used better but just having them there made this movie great.

Andrew Garfield is sweetest Spider-Man :messenger_relieved:❤️
I adore him.

I loved the film and its fan service. I'm a sucker for stories with redemption arcs, and this one had MANY. One of my favorite scenes is where Garfield Spidey managed to save falling MJ because he was DAMN well never gonna mess that maneuver up ever again. :lollipop_crying:💙

I was happy to see Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, too!

Easily the best MCU Spider-Man movie, it's like they took on all complaints about Holland's version and "corrected" it by the end of this movie.

The cast who returned were brilliant as well, it seems like they were all having fun with being back, you just felt that energy on screen.

It's weird, I'm a big fan of Tom Holland's Spider-Man but this movie left me really conflicted. Loved the big character moments, hate the overall plot and resolution.

Maybe I need a second viewing, because I am not getting the hype for this film whatsoever.

I did really enjoy Garf and Tobey being back, and to see Garfield get his moment saving MJ was just excellent.

Tom Holland is suppose to be a teenager in this movie so him doing some illogical and selfish things makes sense to a certain degree. My biggest issue with Tom Holland is that I've never liked his version of Peter Parker. I thought the movie was pretty solid for the most part even though I did have tons of issues with it.

My biggest issue with the movie was why did he have his aunt may in the apartment with the super villains. Like even if you cure/remove their powers these people were still bad guys. Him defeating Dr. Strange is weird as well.

I did enjoy this spiderman movie more than all of the other mcu spiderman movies.

And yes, the Venom scene pissed people off in my showing. There were a lot of groans and "C'mons" being yelled back at the screen.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
So is this really
the last time we'll see Tobey & Andrew as Spider-Man?

One of the girls from work went to see this yesterday.
Now she previously said that Tobey was her favourite Spider-Man, Tom was okay
But she didn't like Andrew Garfield one bit!
She wasn't even prepared to rewatch his films before seeing No Way Home and I did try to convince her because the last time she saw them was when they released so she would have been early teens then and maybe she would see them differently now
Funny enough after seeing No Way Home she now absolutely adores Andrew Garfield and wants to rewatch his Spider-Man films.
She said he was the star of the film

Yeah Garfield knocks it out of the park and is easily the best in the film.

Sorry to say but your wife sounds like those smart-ass people who won't shut-up in the cinema, ruining it for everyone.
Nothing wrong with emotional guys either, as long as that doesn't overpower everything in their life.

A movie that is fun and entertaining with fanservice done right and doesn't push any stupid agendas? My god, what timeline is this? Has the spell worked?

It's a good movie, no doubt. But it works so wonderfully because of what came before.

I almost cried manbaby tears a couple of times.

I don't understand why it's being hard for Marvel and Lucas to see when they are not trying to push an agenda their products are well received and overall loved. When they try to push an agenda then the product is divisive at best.

Bolded is true for Avengers IW and EndGame too.

As someone who hasnt been following the film really, why is it breaking out at this ridiculous level?. I mean this would be hugely impressive pre-covid.
Is it because of the other Spidermans and villains from the other films being in this?.

£121mil Friday. I mean yeah it includes the £50mil Thursday but an opening around 220mil is pretty much locked.

Its because 1 it’s Spider-Man which as a property is all time high. 2 people are excited for a big movie experience and dr.strange plus Spider-Man and now other characters from previous films an older audience remembers.

But in the the other thread where people don't actually watch the movie but let hate-for-cash YouTubers form their movie opinions, they say Disney/Marvel have completely fucked up Spider-Man and this is a failure.

Dunno which YT you've been watching, the ones I watched say No Way Home elevated the Spider-Man brand for Sony after Spider-Man 3 and TASM2.

Those people never read a comic past the 90’s. So they probably have a affinity for classic Peter Parker which was more of raimi’s take on material. Current take is more fro. Ultimate comic line which is what a lot of the mcu pull from while giving nods to old classic stuff.

like Thor having Donald Blake name tag in first Thor film.

Tony stark/Peter relationship is from 2000’s Spider-Man and on. Where Peter is drawn for as a teenager than a man in his 20’s like 80’s-90’s Spider-Man.

It seems superhro movies, really, are the only movies that are doing decent in this post covid world. Or atleast making numbers close to what you would of expected pre covid.
And thats a damn shame to be honest.

You're right.

I love Marvel and super hero movies in general.

However i dont want super hero movies only, i do kinda hope the hero bubble bursts in the next 5 - 10 years.

We kinda did but it was so fast we nearly didn't catch it and no it's not the Ned calling out for Peter bit. While fighting on the statue of liberty when the 3 are replanning their moves and are figuring out what to call each other they each point to each other but it's very quick.

I dont hate superhero movies or anything, its just i feel there are simply too many of them per year, and they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel with some of these c list hero's.

I have also been waiting for the bubble to burst, and these cycles usually go in like 10 year cycles, but its been 30 years since Batman 89, and 20 years since Spiderman really springbored the superhero genre into modern cinema. And here we are, with no bubble bursting in sight.
