SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Official Trailer

KyoZz

Tag, you're it.
I guess it would’ve needed Spider-Man screaming in agony for the first 5 minutes for it to have been above average for you.
Sarcastic Night GIF

Lol you are traumatized by ZSJL or what? What's the point of bringing this movie here?
You'll learn we can like both Marvel and DC. And while I hate the humor made to disarm any important situation in most Marvel movies., I still enjoy a lot of them.

Example of good Marvel movies coming in my mind like that so it's not exhaustive, just to give an idea:
  • Avengers 1 (8,5/10)
  • Avengers 2 (7,5/10)
  • Infinity War (8/10)
  • Thor 1 & 3 (7/10)
  • Captain America 1 & 2 (8,5/10)
  • Iron Man (8,5/10)
  • Iron Man 2 & 3 (7,5/10)
  • GOtG 1&2: (7/10) I lowered my rating for those two after the last game, which was AWESOME!
  • Doctor Strange: (7,5/10)

In the meantime some other movies didn't clicked with me like Captain Marvel, Thor 2, Black Widow, Civil War and Ant Man 1&2 for example. It's not all black or white.
Spoiler for No Way Home => Doc Oc, Tobey, Andrew all deserved better. And not to mention Aunt May, seriously that was lame :(

But I'm glad you enjoyed it mate, it's the only thing that matters after all and I wish I enjoyed it too! !

I thought I was the only person on the planet who didnt like Civil War.

Just saw it, kind of bummed that:

We get no real closure on the 2 other Spidey franchises. Only vague hints at everything „turning out OK“ for them… well Andrew hangs in there it seems. I honestly expected more teases during the villain talk… like Tobey & Andrew talking about new villains we haven‘t seen in their franchises yet (like Spider-Man 4 or TASM3 script teases…) or overall what‘s happened after their respective last movies. Busted potential for all the die-hard fans of the Raimi trilogy to not kind of give proper closure.

Does the movie handle
all the spider-mans well as in they're not treated as almost background characters to the main one?

For those concerned about spoilers beware that cam footage is starting to pop up on youtube.

Saw a few thumbnails on my recommendations page whose descriptions gave a few things away.

Movie is getting good reviews. But then again all MCU movies do.

It's good. Honestly, if the audience is a good yardstick, I have never had such an experience in the cinema (not even with the avangers), people applauded several times, it was something almost interactive and really fun.

I saw this yesterday and it was good. Big spoilers:
It was great to see Maguire and Garfield again and their role was bigger than I expected. The villians were the weakest part in opinion. Dafoe and Molina were great but they needed more scenes. Sandman and Lizard were disappointing.

It's a great movie. Peter/Gwen romance is cute as fuck, the action and visuals are better than anything mcu Spider-Man have done and I like Holland the least out of the three Spideys. Compared to Raimi and Webb, Watts just is so bland as a director. Hope he improved in No Way Home.
I am not a Holland fan either. I am not sure if its him or the fact that they have focused so much on Hollands spiderman being a young and inexperienced hero. It was fine for one movie, but him always basically sucking at being Spiderman just doesnt click with me.

I agree. I feel like the Holland movies, aside from their other problems, are just visually lacking when compared to any of Tobey's or Andrew's.

And everyone clapped.

I guess you must be in the US - the only country in the world where people clap at the cinema.

I agree, always preferred the chemistry of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone to Tobey and Kirsten. It's not perfect but just like Spidey 3 I feel it gets more flack than it deserves.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
I just hope it massively improves over the previous 2 mcu spideys. Cause I think Amazing Spider-Man 2 is way better than those.
Watch this last night and I'm not gonna say "it's not as bad as people say" because it's so much better then that even with its flaws.
I forgot how funny Garfield was in this one and he hits it out the park as Spidy and the emotional performances by Garfield, Emma & Sally Field are heavy and are all top notch.
But that Clock Tower scene...that hits every time.
I really do wish we got films from Garfield.

Just saw it today with the wife and my oldest kid (6 yo). The movie was decent, like 7.0 decent, but the fan service and the "surprise sppearances" definitely help it punch way above its weight, to a 9 out of ten score.

The ASM movies do the Gwen Stacy saga perfectly. There’s no need to repeat it in the MCU.

Just got back from it. I loved it. I'm one of the people that wasn't particularly smitten by either the Raimi trilogy or the ASM movies despite being a Spiderman fan though. So my viewpoint is different than quite a few folks. Into the Spiderverse is my favorite film and I'd say this is pretty darn close to that for me.

First half of the film, or really the first hour or so, is probably the weaker part of the film. While nothing technically wrong with it, it feels like a bit of fluff compared to the much stronger second half. Better exploring what they had presented in that first half or bringing some of the stuff from the second half earlier would have been a lot better. The second half is fantastic though and is really engaging. It brings what the MCU Spiderman has been kind of missing, a real sense of drama and weight. Holland was great and the interactions between all of the characters was really enjoyable. I could have done with a little bit less MCU-style humor but it's not really that much, shaving one or two moments there would have been been just perfect for me.

Spoiler for this next bit but it's really nothing big since I'm only going to touch upon what everyone knows already in a general sense.

Tobey and Andrew's parts were really enjoyable in this and their appearance got a good pop in my theater. I really liked that they managed to differentiate the two characters while considering what happened in their films and without getting too heavily into things. I really liked how they also tied it back into Holland's situation as well. That said, I kind of wanted them to do what Into the Spiderverse does with Peter and ther others, give them a bit more of a character arc they go through in this film. I'm okay with what we got though since what we got was extension from their respective films.

Doc Ock and Goblin were great. Electro was okay. Sandman and Lizard were just kind of there, lol. I mean they did do some good interactions for all of them and explored them a bit but more of this in the first half would have been much nicer since they kind of dropped the direct secret identity stuff fast.

With where the film left off, it feels like they've brought Holland's Spiderman to the real start line for the character. It makes me pretty excited to see what they could do with it if they do end up getting more films.

Overall, I'd say 8.5 out of 10 or so,

Edit: Also, as a former(-ish?) wrestling fan. Some of the fights got my hyped as hell in this.

Just got back from seeing it. Fantastic movie. Lots of great action scenes, character scenes, and plenty of good comedic moments.

A friend saw it and said it's the best Spider-Man movie.

I am a fan of Doctor Octopus, so, I was already going to see this movie, even if it sucked, just for the return of the GOAT Spider-Man character. Can't wait to see it, super hyped.
