Spitting Image Official Trailer

Woke Image more like. Will they have bulls to confront BLM for example or will it be easy targets?

Can't believe they removed the RS232 Interface Lead song from YouTube. 😱😂😂

I didn’t laugh once - not a good sign. The absence of Joe Biden, Keir Starmer, Hillary and Corbyn suggests they’re going after the targets they’re allowed to attack in which case it will miss the whole point of Spitting Image.

I still have this C64 game.
Played it quite a bit. It wasn't very good.

This show used to scare me when I was a child. There was also a British children's show called Rosie & Jim that used to have the same effect. It was just something about the way the puppets looked and moved that I found disturbing.

Play it safe, then ratchet it up. They are not going to be able to hit the ground running but they sure can get to South Park levels over time.

So I watched the episode and.. yeah so they do very gently poke the woke but they really do hold back. Unfortunately the pokes at the woke aren't particularly funny, and indeed in general it's not particularly savage. They missed an opportunity too - they had a bit where a group of 7 was condemned as unsafe until they started hunting but that might have been better if they followed it with another group breaking out the BLM banners to even things out or indeed to make a point about the hypocrisy of both sides, though even then I'm not sure they'd have been able to make it funny. Such a lacklustre disappointment.

Second episode is a huge improvement. It's still reasonably clear they're more comfortable ripping the piss out of one side than the other but the Pelosi stuff was good and overall there was a better balance, and I even got a few laughs in there. Could have done with more on Starmer (though in truth he's not very interesting and we don't really know much about him yet), and there's surely a wealth of material to be had with AOC and the rest of her gang which they don't seem to be doing but I wonder if that's perhaps because most normies in the UK just haven't heard of them.
