I think they decided that specials were too strong in the first game and decided to tone them down for this one.

I hated the Kraken so much. The specials in this game are less overpowered and fair to an extent. Though the Sting Ray is complete shit.

Welp, ranked down for the first time. RIP.
I'm having problems with gyro controls in handled mode. If I'm laying down with the Switch in my hand, the camera is always looking up. Pressing Y does nothing. It's almost as if the Switch thinks I'm pointing my right Joycon straight up in the air.
I tried calibrating the controllers, but no luck. Am I doing something wrong?

Supposedly Salmon Run is up on Thursday in US timezones, but I'm not exactly sure what times, since I just looked at an image. Not near my Switch to actually check and convert the times.

Loving Splatoon 2 this far. Haven't tried the motion controls yet.
My favorite mode is Salmon Run thus far, but I have only seen the one map. Is there only one map for it? If so, I wish Nintendo expands upon it and adds like 5-6 more maps for this coop mode. Its really fun and very engaging. It also needs more communication options, but one problem at a time.

Yeah, I hated Kraken, too. So I'm not really sad its gone, either. Buuut...I feel like some of the new ones aren't so great. Like Inkjet seems kind of bad.

I think that they are just more balanced around ranked. When people are fighting for a small, tight objective, the weaknesses of most specials are less apparent.

I've had few complaints about the game so far but this takes the cake for me because I just want to play Salmon Run and i can't because Nintendo thinks of these dumb times when i need to sleep/work
Wow that sucks. It will be over before I am even home from work. I guess its to accommodate for people in other time zones but still, I won't get to play it for the rest of the week.
This is my favorite mode by a country mile and I can barely play it. :/
We need a 24/7 PvE mode, PvP gets too frustrating sometimes.

I wonder if the Drizzler's missile can kill things other than itself when reflected and if it pierces armor? I know for a fact that the Drizzler dies even if it's hiding in its umbrella.

Just lost points for a crew wipe in Salmon Run even though one player disconnected early on.
I think every region gets their own time zones though, right? Or are these global? Either way it's dumb as fuck.

I think Inkjet is pretty good, but it can also depends on the stage. And that seems to be the case for seemingly all the specials in this game.

pretty sure it shows you the time according to your own timezone...I'm Eastern US so that's the time it's running for here
I'm assuming it happens at the same time globally but it just tells you the hours in your local time. I don't think it makes sense to only open up matchmaking to certain time zones at a time.

Again, it's global. UK I believe had 1am to 1pm today, while US east coast got a more sensible 8am to 8pm.
Edit: that's obviously wrong. UK ain't 7 time zones over... In the wrong direction. Either way, the point is kinda the same I guess.

I like Salmon Run, but they need to add some content to it, because it's not varied enough with the same stage over and over and the handful of enemies.
I was thinking it would be cool if some days had mutations. I'm sure there are some pretty fun ones they could work up with minimal effort.

Ugh, why are there three lives in this game? The stupid platforming sequence in chapter 19 is idiotic and having to redo the starting part over and over again is making me want to smash my Switch.
