....the only thing that annoys me now is that we can only add slots and reroll abilities with sea snails now. That's so lame >_>
Maybe he'll let you do it with money if you have no snails left. Then again considering rerolling is scrubbing plus instant max level on gear, I doubt it
We were able to do that by the first splatfest or reaching level 20.

I had maybe 5 matches against Mayo teams that whole time I worked up to Queen level. It's weird to consider the numbers. With it being so lopsided in popularity, mayo would have many many many more opportunities to win against ketchup.
And it wasn't that huge a difference in wins regardless. Interesting things to think about. Oh well.

Everytime I played I rarely got a good team. And when I did, we'd be fighting other ketchup guys.
It's clear Mayo had the better players and I can accept that. Great job guys.

Mayo won in Japan as well.
Not a fan of splatfests this time around. I was stuck playing ketchup vs ketchup matches almost every single time, so even though I won a ton I didn't contribute to team ketchup at all. And losing by the coinflip 51/49 winrate is a real kick in the teeth.
Would it be more interesting for them to use different metrics of comparison? Like..

The only times I remember the most popular team winning in the first game were the first one (Dogs vs Cats) and the last one (Callie vs Marie).
The first one was BS because team Cat won more matches but once they took into account the popularity percent, they kind of just added both scores and team cat suffered for it.
In the last one all regions played together and thanks to Japan, the superior Squid Sister won.
In the end, Team Callie and Team Marie were punished when they took Callie and Marie out of the News segment and the Splatfests. =(
And now the good News... I won my first Splatfest!!! I remember it took me until Pokémon Blue vs Pokémon Red to win my first Splatfest. It seems this time it doesn't matter that much though. There's only three super sea snails of difference compared to last time.

The percents don't matter beyond which one took each category, guys. Winning popularity meant Ketchup just had to win solo or teams.
And we couldn't by such a measly percentage. Sigh. We would've won easily if this were Splatoon 1..

Well I wound up being wrong with part of my prediction (I thought Ketchup would win in teams), but it happens to work out in my favor in the end so heyo for mayo I guess!
It was slightly less excruciating than some of the prior splatfests despite never managing to really get a good Mayo team going in the midday (literally we had three rounds all against the same other Mayo team, however the hell that worked, and no Ketchumps). Still, even flying solo I've had much worse in the past. Thanks for the snails, now if only I knew what gear I wanted to use any of them on.

People are legit furious right now. Some blaming Nintendo's internet, some blaming Nintendo's matchmaking not counting Ketchup vs Ketchup wins, and some blaming Nintendo (again) for skewed results.
It's all Nintendo's fault.
Seriously guys I wouldn't be throwing this much of a fit online if we had lost.
