How can reach reach profreshional and not know to kill Fly fish as a priority? HOW?

Because no one wants to be in the awkward situation where everyone throws their bombs in one engine and fail to kill it.

I'd be down for a crazier harder version of Salmon Run though. High level Profreshional is insane and all but still pretty low risk.

They should just wait for everyone else to throw first I guess. I've had to solo so many of them tonight.

Just had a guy jump on top of the low tide basket before the tide went on and stay there all final round. Prick.

Yeh I'm loving the cash payouts of Salmon Run. Not having much luck with my abilities and scrubbing costs a ton.

edit: Question for all the Splatoon 1 players; were new maps released in pairs or on their own, and when would you expect to see the first one (not counting the Splatfest one) to release?
 
Finally hit Fresh with a weapon. Even though it was the Tri-Slosher, it still felt like a coin-flip whether I'd win any given match just because you never know who's going to DC or just play terribly.

I've been playing with Stealth Jump and still getting splatted a couple of times right after landing. Sometimes it's unavoidable, like landing right in the path of a roller, but I still wouldn't mind knowing the exact parameters by which the landing icon is hidden from opponents. It sucks that so many of the ability descriptions are just one sentence when there really should be an easy way to see more info about them.
 
Bought a JP Callie and Marie (Oh I mean Aori and Fire Fly) amiibo set for 30 bucks. Had a 25 GC from Amazon so I'm paying 5ish dollars for it.

What am I doing? Should I keep it?

It's almost impossible to use a super with 0 points, because you need to get points to get your super.

I guess you could have Tenacity equipped and be AFK, then use your super and not actually hit the ground with it. But it's more likely that they disconnected.

Here's where I'm confused on the points. In the match it will show that I got like 2,000p, then on the phone app it will show a lower number. What is going on there?
 
Been playing this in handheld mode all week and love it. I can see how motion controls are better, but I still do fine enough without them.

Im still a little confused on how some of the ultimates work, but i think that is something I will just learn in time.

Almost all supers... I meant.... Ultimates are situational. Some are worthless than others depending on what kinda player you are.

Like I like how the AeroSpray Ultimate allows me to send out snake bombs so I cover ground and get into a tough area.

But that one Ultimate when it launches you in the air then you do a Splashdown? TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
How do you sell clothes you have or replace them? There's a top I already have in the shop but it has a better main skill on it but it won't let me buy it cus it's saying it's sold out.

The worst player or players in the game are always on my team...tilting pretty hard. Now I understand why voice chat isn't easy on this game, because I have seen some incredibly stupid players do stupid things over and over.

Splashdown is great. Jump off something high into enemy infested ink for maximum effect.

Also - are the perks on the gear always random? Or is there any gear that is considered the best?
 
One thing to remember with Splashdown is that it deals some pretty substantial AOE damage to folks nearby, even if they're pretty well outside of the notification circle that appears. If they're anywhere close, it makes getting quick follow-up kills really easy.

As much as I liked the Burst Bomb/Tenta Missiles kit that the original Splattershot had back in the first Testfire, Splashdown is actually really good on it too because one quick burst bomb after splashdown can be devastating, even to someone who thinks they avoided the worst of your special.

I've been using N Zap for the most part but that hasn't been working out too well in these modes compared to Rain Maker where I've been progressing smoothly. Haven't unlocked the Lunar Blaster yet and something feels off about the GAL this time around.

rapidblaster. stand back and shoot. don't have to worry too much about aim

the sloshers are also good

Really? I use the N-Zap on Tower Control to success. The Suction Bomb sub is too good at forcing opponents off the Tower while the Ink Armour special helps hold it through rough spots on the path.

Jet Squelcher with sprinkler in Splatzones. Splattershot Pro with Inkstorm in Tower control. 52gal with Baller in Rainmaker.

These loadouts are working fantastic for me, up to A- (SZ), A (RM) and B+ (TC).

Vanilla Splattershot for Splatzones, anything rangy for Tower Control, usually splattershot pro for me.

52 Gal feels like it's got less range than last time to me, even though supposedly it's the same as the splattershot still.

Or Tri Slosher.
 
Press X at any time, then press a d-pad direction or the right stick to highlight a teammate. Then press X again to close the menu and warp to your teammate. It's an important mechanic.
Or gyro aim to them. Also, pretty sure you have to press A on the map instead of X.

Yes, this. Also, from playing brush the past couple of days, I've noticed that immediately throwing a Splat Bomb gets people pretty often. NZaps and Splattershots and Dualies have a tendency to wait just outside the Splashdown blast zone. Forces people to either get lost or commit.
 
Is there some sort of algorithm that determines which skill level of opponents you face each match in Turf Wars?

I'm a level 19 and I'm constantly facing cold blooded killers. I can just barely hold my own most of the time.

If I switch over to my wife's account who's a level 17 and play it's like night and day.

More people are playing the objective and I can navigate around the map without feeling intense anxiety over which direction I'm going to get assaulted from next.

I could easily splat most of the players on her account but generally avoid doing so because I don't want to be that asshole ruining the experience for the types of players my wife gets matched up against.

I want to figure out how to face the same type of players she's paired against as it's a much more enjoyable experience for me.

Basically I feel like I'm playing Team Deathmatch on my account and playing what I feel like Turf Wars should be like on her account.
