This lobby system is the worst I've ever seen. God damn. At least let us back out when it's obvious it isn't going to fill a game.

The Pro Controller is one of the nicest feeling controllers in the hand! It feels so good in Splatoon without motion controls. If you're going pure analog stick id say a pro controller is a must! Go get one at all costs!
 
In ranked mode if you have a brush in the team follow it because it's the damn fastest to reach the goal at the start of the game.
 
Managed to play a bit today and while I used gyro control in Splatoon 1 in the splat fest for Splatoon 2 I was struggling as something felt off, so when I got my copy today I decided stick with gyro control but play it split joy con style.

Took it like a duck to water.

At the moment I am just trying to get as much on-play as I can before the paywall close in 2018.

jump button not being on X is weird, and there's no option to change it so I keep opening the map when I want to jump. being forced to use the worst weapon is annoying af

then I get into a game and it's like 3 level 1s and the rest are 6-8 and of course it puts all the level 1s with our piece of shit pea shooter on the same team and I've had 3 games in a row where I've put down 1900+ of ink and the 2nd highest person on my team has like 400

I think I get how the Freshness/Style bonus works. I just had my second one, and in both cases I had splatted a couple of opponents in a very short time span. Not more then five seconds. I'll see if I can do it again and get the bonus again also.

I need detailed notes on the sting rays application in matches, I haven't touched ranked yet, but shit it sort of sucks ._.
 
Just reached the final boss in Octo Canyon. No spoilers, but a word of advice so you don't make the same mistake I did: you want to upgrade
the basic Hero Shot gun
at least once (or bank up enough cash to do so) before you enter the fight. Otherwise, damage output is a problem, and the game goes out of its way to tell you this while the boss beats your face in.
 
Stupid question but the special abilities are tied to whatever weapon you choose right? You can't change those separate of the weapon?
 
I've been in this lobby for three minutes and I can't be fucked to restart the game because you just get those two clowns bantering on and on.

Fake edit: it finally kicked is out.
 
A session of Salmon Run falls apart pretty fast if you do so much as give a Flyfish boss an inch. You'll probably be too busy on following it to aim bombs while other bosses come in.
 
best buy/UPS are letting me down here. I had arms the day before it's official release but I'm still stuck here waiting on splatoon right now :(
 
This isn't good i been playing games and enjoying the mp but every 1 or 2 games I get randomly disconnected and now I can't access the mp at all, I just want to enjoy the game :'(
 
Just played a few rounds in the airport. Pretty cool, but portable mode it's not as good as docked, due to motion controls and second stick placement.
 
Anyone know how much data one round of Splatoon is? I want to play some matches at work later but don't want to use up all my mobile data
 
Marathoned the story mode, pretty much the same feeling as the last one. Neat ideas in levels that overstay their welcome. Cool bosses, an amazing final boss.

Considering it's the second game and I have the exact same feeling about it, they did good. Should be a good time for newcomers or veterans.

For those of you that want to learn motion controls, the story in 2 is not as friendly for that as the first game (adding different weapons makes it very complex). If you can get through it though, you'll be ready for multiplayer, 100%

Post game unlocks:
The Callie and Marie amiibos work, Callie gives you the Hero replica set, Marie gives you the Armor replica set.
