Huh, I got the gyro aim bug where it drifts one direction. I thought it was exclusive to BoTW but it seems to be affecting Splatoon 2 as well.

Mine happened when I locked the device in handheld and unlocked it in handheld, but the BoTW gyro glitch was caused by sticking it in the dock IIRC.

6k Style Bonus.
No idea why.

Leave your joycons on a table for a couple of seconds.

Wtf no local multi? First time that ever burned me, wife wanted to play after a few drinks. fUCK

There's always 3 rounds, but trust me it get's hella difficult later on.

It get's so hard you're gonna end up ranking down lol

I was thinking it was easy until I ended up ranking all the way back down to part timer....

I know it's always 3 waves but when I watched the Nintendo Minute demo, they had the option to keep going at the next difficulty level. For me, it just sent my team back to the lobby. Do I have to rank up first or something?

6k Style Bonus.
No idea why.

I had a "style" bonus, although the english version said "fresh" if I recall.

I got the bonus when I reached a certain winning streak with a weapon.

Some people might have noticed that in the lobby there is an icon that ssays "Dry" and 0.0. Basically the number (win/loss ratio more than likely) increases as you win matches using the weapon, it changes from "dry" to "Fresh" "Raw" etc.

Once I got to "Raw" I unlocked a "Fresh" bonus. Or in your case "style"

Doing that for every weapon is a quick way to rank up.

Same thing happens with me, after each session I'm straight back to the lobby, but the difficulty definitely ramps up significantly as you rank up. What level are you at now?

Perhaps what you saw opens up after you hit a certain rank, but I've certainly not seen it, and I ranked up quite high earlier, well until I started losing a ton, and now my ranks is low again.

This is so fun already, though I guess that's no surprise with how great the first game was.

SW-0943-1543-9216 if anybody wants to team up.

The new Splatfest reminds me of that one Gintama episode with Hijikata vs. the ketchup dude.

I've only done one full round, so I'm still an apprentice. Perhaps it's just for offline play but this video here shows what I mean

I don't see a difficulty level or anything when I play so I was just wondering.

My god...this game is something else. Played all day, can't stop thinking about it. It's my first Splatoon, and now I understand why it became the hit it is. As a long time shooter fan, this game, dare I say, feels so fresh.

I've not seen that, but I'm playing online with randoms.

Maybe that's an option if you play privately either local or with friends.

That "hazard level" probably increases in the background when you play online with randoms depending on your rank.

The good thing is that the game definitely switches things up as you rank up, at higher ranks it is crazy, like a crap load of bosses all over the place, fog, and the water level rises so there's more enemies but less space to move.

The bad thing is you can end up with randoms who don't help out and you end up all dead, and losing rank. Where I go wrong is I want to try and win the points I lost, but end up losing even more. I need to learn when to stop lol. It's kinda like gambling to try and win back money you've just lost lol

Are they any good tutorial YT videos to recommend? Jumped in today - never played the original - and it's super hard to get into, which kinda also boils down to the controls. No prob here with getting through the tough learning curve, but man... it's like there is no light at the end of the tunnel right now. Everything feels incredibly couter-intuitive. Also: Is there a friends code thread here for Switch in general and Splatoon specifically?

Otherwise, love the game theoretically. But then again, I was 100%convinced first time I saw the very first Wii U trailer for the original.

I hate getting the charger in salmon run.

But then someone else gets it in a wave full of steelheads and they can't shoot for shit so I start to think it's not so bad.

The new Slosher is hard to play.

It does combo with an indirect Suction Bomb, but it begins to require a high ink requirement, regularly having bombs and stuff out there for zoning. Ink Resistance feels really important for this weapon as well. It also feels like they added a little more wind-up in the animation... You have to be more deliberate with the weapon and less spammy. It becomes this super zoning and baiting weapon. I dunno, it could be because I didn't play a lot of Soda Slosher in the first game, but the kit doesn't do a lot for me so far. Could get better as I unlock more slots and abilities. Sloshers are very ability needy.

I'll be interested in trying out the Tri-Slosher when I get there, since its kit and playstyle resembles the old one a little more.

Anyone else find the vertical splash with the carbon roller inconsistent? Sometimes i jump and splash and its horizontal. Is there more to it then just jumping and splashing?
