I know it's better in S. I can carry A matches.
Though I think part of the problem is a lot of skilled players in the C's atm making for some very lopsided matches.

I've been trying to carry people for the past hour and it's impossible. Those people seem like they want to loose. It wasn't that hard in S1.

It has a solid single player mode (around 6 hours) and an awesome online Horde/Co-op mode. And the online MP is great, even if you're not into that type of thing normally (I'm not).

That's the first of five worlds. The first world is also much shorter than the others.Is the story campaign mode just to save the 3 Zapfish? So it takes like 1-2 hours?
It's your win/lose streak. It will reset every 2 hours but every time you gain 5 points in ranking you will go up a class on the win/lose streak and also get some major bonus points earned
Not being able to que and stay on the same team as your friend is one of the dumbest things I think I've seen in a game in a long while.
My friend is moving across the country and grabbed a switch today. Came over for one last local game night. We've been on the same team 7 times and the opposite team 15 times.
It's not really a complicated thing. Just let people que or match with other pairs or something. I don't play a lot of online shooters so maybe I'm off the mark here and this is a normal thing, but I really doubt it.
Edit: also salmon run is the best part of the game and should be available all the time

I never got splatoon 1 because my wiu was gathering dust but sitting here taking turns playing this with my son is soo much fun

Try kickstand with split joycons. You'll see that the gyro is only effective in the right joycon. Feels much better imo.

I use gyro on handheld mode and I'm doing pretty good.

You don't have a "Friends" option under "Regular Battle"? You should see Friends, Private Battle, and Online Lounge. 3 different ways to play with/against friends.

None of those let you party -with- your friends and matchmake together. The Friends option will let you join a lobby another friend is already in (if there's room...after waiting for an entire game to go on and finish), but there's no guarantee you'll be on the same team. And it swaps teams every match anyways. It's very mind boggling there still isn't an option that allows this.
Btw, Private battle is basically useless if you don't have 7 Friends. Though I guess on GAF something could be organized. And Online Lounge only lets you do Private Battles, so...

As much fun as this game is, its starting to get to me to continue to be on the losing team, yet outperforming all players on both teams.
