That’s been my luck tonight. Went from 18.5 to like 10. Some people in this game are... wow.

I just played a very strange match of Rainmaker where for the first half of the match it seemed like 2 of my teammates thought they were in Turf Wars.

Really wish people wouldn't grab the Rainmaker if they don't know the routes, OR at the very least listen to teammates pings of "This way!"

That's ultimately my biggest gripes is people don't use chat pings nearly enough, at least where I am currently sitting rank wise.



At least it isn't like Splatoon 1 where that one loss means you'd be two wins away from ranking up!

My god.... pulled one off in overtime. That rush. Rainmaker is so fucking good.


Its awful though when you go full john Rambo and blaze a trail forward only to find your team is doing fuck all behind you.
 
Shoosh. Just won a 3v4 on the reef in record time. That was intense. I got very little rank for it though. Kinda disappointing. Lol. Oh well.
 
I got to Profreshional rank in Salmon Run today!


And that was quickly followed by three Salmon Run games that ended in first round losses, and a rank down. Yeeeah, I'm done with Salmon Run today.
 
Hmmmm the glass just broke for the first time. But I was over the yellow line so still the same rank.


Ranked is super forgiving this time.

Oh yeah, got a couple hours of Salmon Run in earlier. Inkbrush was a better weapon than I expected! Super fast to pick up golden eggs and can run to heal teammates.

Tomorrow's Salmon Run is gonna be legit. Can't wait to finally try the Clash Blaster :D
 
A doesn't feel much different from B which didn't feel much different from C.

Granted it could just be because it's felt very gradual... but I'm still getting "I have more kills than the rest of my team combined and that's sad" kinda losses and "What are you even doing" kinda wins. At this point in Splatoon 1 everything felt hard-fought save for disconnects.
 
Not sure what I am doing wrong, but using the Carbon Roller and I literally bounce off people when trying to kill them. Is not an instant kill?
 
So close to level 10; it seems like you really have to play a ton before you can access ranked. I guess it ensures familiarity but those new modes are going to throw me for a loop.
 
Man, I've been on a roll today. Gotten at least 1000p in just about every match, plus tons of kills. Even matches I've lost ended up feeling pretty good just because of how good I played.

I'm appreciating Ink Armor a lot more now that I figured out you can use it on reaction to someone getting the jump on you. Popping Ink Armor before engaging pretty much guarantees a kill though, sometimes even two. And the best part is that you can get it with the N-Zap, which charges meter like a motherfucker and isn't bad at firefights.

I'm starting to feel the pain of limited stages though, especially when one of the stages on rotation isn't one I like. I hope they start adding some new ones pretty soon.
 
Are there any guides for where the Crusty Sean tickets are in single player? Also are the Hero weapons worth unlocking? Doing every level with every weapon sounds like a massive waste of time.
 
Fought back to ten, fell back to 7.5 with disconnects. Is there any real plus to getting that number higher besides the last bonus at 15, so I can quit raging?
 
So I have this problem in the A rank where I rush too often in the middle of the crossfire and get killed, so I decided to use the Mini-Splatter and chill behind my team in Rainmaker. So far so good lol.

It's pretty jarring when you hit Ranked...

Turf War is best War. But it does get repetitive after nonstop playing.

Trying to level up is kinda an annoying grind but its fun when you experiment with new stuff and just get better.
