Starting to realize that the Splattershot is actually ass. Every other weapon kills me in one hit but this gun takes four shots to kill people. I need to find something new. Maybe the ridiculously overpowered Octobrush.

Nah. You just have to keep your distance and be clever with your sub weapon. Octobrushes/Rollers feel cancerous because of the element of surprise. If you see one coming the splattershot will tear them to bits before they get close. Of course this is hard to do when you are trying to not get shot by the three other guys too.

It's why I like the tentatek version because of the powerful splat bombs. If you have general knowledge of that particular stages camp points/that particular users habits you can head them off and shut them down before they get started with a well timed bomb. Alternatively you could try the weapons with the poison ink sub, which would drain their ink and slow them down.


Let me tell you, it feels great to watch an octobrush user squirm as they don't have enough ink to mindlessly mash zr to kill you with.

You didn't play 1, I presume.

The thing with the autobomb in the middle of a firefight it isn't always that easy and it makes you split your attention two different objectives rather effectively.

First clear gets you the Hero Gear for use in Multiplayer.

If you beat every stage with one weapon, you unlock the hero version for multiplayer (it's the same as the normal multiplayer version, just a different look).

After this first splatfest is over is when that option is going to open up. You will use sea snails you get from the event to pay for slots. People like to scrub this shirt since it's the cheapest and with scrubbing you get to pick exactly what abilities you want and on what item. It still takes a while to earn enough chunks but it's better than hoping you randomly land on a triple slot ability that you use on a piece of gear you really like.

It's not ass, but in ranked I would say the pro outclasses it pretty much in everyway. You need that range in tower control and rainmaker.

In splatzones I would say regular splattershot is good.

Hopped over to the .52 gal but then switched to the .96 gal since I like the range and kit better, but the slow projectile speed and (drop off?) seems to mean I'll still lose most ranged fights. Not a fan of brushes/splatlings/blasters lol. I'm ass with chargers, so it feels like go back to Tentatek, get better at chargers, or stick with the .96 :/

Try splattershot pro. It has a slightly slower rate than the regular, but still faster than the 96 gal, and is almost as powerful.

I think the Splatfest would have been better if it was Ketchup or Mustard. The true eternal rivals. I would leave team ketchup for mustard.

Alas, fuck the disgusting-ness that is mayo.

Mustard isn't very common at all in Japan, so that's probably why.

Oh no, that sucks. I'm tempted to put my router on a ups just in case for situations like that.


Incidentally, I love how the switch auto activates handheld mode in an power outage, so there's no need to worry about save data.

Using the Tri-Slosher in Tower Control is the only way to go. You're as good as dead if you're on the tower and someone has it.

I've been dealing with them alright from the tower with the Firefin Splat Charger, outside of Humpback. Humpback is just too small with too much to hide behind.

I never noticed since the moment I get killed, I pull my map. That is the only time I used the map since it's impractical in the field.

Had probably my first run-in with significant lag since the "splatfire", with a blaster shooting me dead a full second after I killed him. Because blasters aren't obnoxious enough.

Rainmaker is frustrating without communication. So many times it only takes someone following you and it would be over but they want to stop and shoot.

no way. Either they have high ground and are jumping (critical for brush users - makes motion control mandatory as well) or you're just misjudging your range.

The best defense to an approaching brush is to just backpedal and shoot. Ink runs out quick so swatting shots is short lived. They will either be smart and back off too to reset/escape or be balls to the wall and get kited back until you can shoot them.

Why is the Octobrush so good? Just started using it in Tower Control and winning literally all my matches now.

2/3 ranked modes favor close range play. Octobrush is basically a melee weapon.

Also teams aren't synergizing so people will stack up and just get shredded by the swatting brush.

Inkblot is very similar to museum from 1 and also sort of blackbelly skatepark, although I would compare pumptrack more to that overall. At least in blackbelly the middle part was bigger though and more possible to take it back.

Been experimenting with new weapons recently and the trislosher is too powerful, wow. Yeah it can be countered from distance but it really suits my playstyle. Yeesh. Now I have to decide between the dualies, splattershot and trislosher as my main... or maybe just cycle between all three depending on my mood ^_^

Don't know where the problem was/is.

The matches themselves went smoothly without internet connection errors,
the controller was fully charged and there weren't any other bluetooth/wlan
devices around and the controller was not behind cover or something.

At level 30 you have all of the weapons unlocked. I'm playing ranked all of the time right now because it gives you way more experience when you win. After I get all of the weapons I don't care about levels, and I can just play Turf War when Rainmaker isn't up

I think Dualie Squelchers requires bring Lv 12, and they're available in Sheldon's shop.
