I accidently pressed the power button on the Switch causing it to go to sleep as it was about to load a Turf War online game. Naturally when I turned it back on it said that the connection was lost due to the console going to sleep mode. I stopped playing just to be safe.

I really hope I don't get penalties for that.

Not sure how it works for ranked, but at least in the case of turf war I don't think you have anything to worry about penalty-wise unless you have several disconnects like that in a short span of time. You'll get a warning about it if it's happened enough to be considered a problem.

Interestingly, SplatNet 2 has a section in your personal stats that tracks the number of network disconnects you've had. It's interesting to me that they both track that and allow you to view it.

Dang it. Now I have a blight on my otherwise clean record. That's gonna bother me all night as I'm trying to get to sleep.

How do you check the SplatNet 2 personal data? Through the mobile Switch app?

Ugh... My sniping game was off point today. Couldn't get a single decent snipe. And the aerosprays kept wrecking me.

Maybe I need a sniping break.

Any weapon recommendations for wrecking aerosprays and rollers?

.52 Gal seems to wreck everything when I don't feel like sniping.

That.... IS very interesting. I wonder if they'll ever do something with that data.

Been grinding ranked for the past few days. Finally reached A- tonight. Whew. Falling back into C hell seems unlikely now.

I think the biggest challenge for the game at this point for me is figuring out what type of player I am.

Thinking I'm more of a support ganker. I like to roam, and find ways to shut teams down.

Dual squelchies are more of my kind of weapon. Usually I just focus on recovering ink, killing solo players, then seat back and wait for the best time to use my missiles.

It only shows disconnects in the last 50 matches.

A good deal on an official Switch ethernet adaptor was presented to me today that I could not pass up. Wireless connection has not been an issue for myself but speedtests are a tad faster now that I am wired and match-making seems a bit snappier.

Less microwaves floating around my home for the (((globalists))) to read my thoughts and subliminally influence my buying and voting habits is also a plus.

After playing it for a while, the Jet Squelcher is a great support weapon the team. I didn't like it in the fist game, mostly because it was doing the time that I sucked at the game.

I was also using it wrong, in this game too at first. It isn't a weapons where you swim around, ink, and waste people. It's a weapon where you camp in a key position and act as a guard keeper to shut down the other team. Kind of like a sniper, except you can be more dangerous since you have great range and you don't have a laser giving you away. Of course, this is balanced by the Jet Squelcher having low damage. Toxic Mist is also a great support sub.

I have enjoyed myself since it's so different from what I've been doing and it's almost relaxing. lol

I gave the N-Zap a chance in Splatoon 1 and again in Splatoon 2. I have to face, that despite liking how it looks, it doesn't suit my playstyle. Too many instances of running out of ink at vital moments.

Maybe when I get lots of ink savers badges.

You can put a ink saver ability on.

Btw, does Thermal Ink allows your teammates to see when you tag someone?

In response to my complaint yesterday splatnet has a fresh fucking jacket with thermal ink right now
Ordered that bad boy.
Does anyone know how Ink Resistance works in this game? In the original it was only available as a main ability on boots, but now that it can stack and has subs, I'm guessing it's a lot less effective if you only have one main? Anyone know how many you might need to get up to how powerful it was in the first game, it was my favourite ability! Also, I only just noticed that bomb-range up has gone! It seems like the basic throw distance is a lot longer than in the first game though, so I can still grenade-snipe the hell out of the SplatZone.

Really enjoying my time, begun grinding ranked battle

Anyone want to give me the good word on competitive edge in the 3 ranked modes, my gun skills are solid

Seems like future Salmon Runs finally last 24 instead of 12 hours so that's a nice improvement atleast. The 3 days off makes sense with the splatfest, but why not make Salmon Run a Splatfest activity too?

4 straight fucking losses on the same fucking map, 6 of the last 7. The last one we started with 3 people. I don't know why I even bother, it's obvious this game fucking hates me and I'll never be any good at it. I should just get rid of it.

Yea, um...I think this is because of Furry twitter, which is one of the most active communities on that site. Popular posts from within the furry community frequently get likes and retweets in the thousands. Since Inkopolis' visible posts are based on social media engagement, a lot of drawings by prominent furry artists have been getting visibility. Then there was that one post that said something along the lines of "Stop drawing furries, please", which I think caused a bunch of non-furries to be like "nah, I like that art" and then everyone started drawing animal art as a response. It'll probably die down eventually.
Huh. And here I thought there was an upcoming Splatfest somewhere.

I once had six losses straight on the same map and it was always because someone on my team didn't pull their weight. Major salt.

Ordered the thermal ink jacket. Maybe it'll help me as an octobrush user in ranked.

Also squid kids are anthropomorphic, therefore they could technically be considered furry if someone picked one as a fursona.
get dunked on

9 straight losses. I have to be getting close to a record soon. I wonder what I did to make the Splatoon 2 designers hate me so much.
