It really is a good job that there isn't any voice chat because I would be cussing these clowns out something fierce.

"Hey gang! Lets try and fuck ourselves over in the last 30 seconds!"
"Sounds good, dumbass! Count me in!"

I cant find a game on legue, me and my friends couldn't play a single game on team on the splat fest, and now league is not working, this is very annoying.

Anyone knows what's the cause of this? No one seems to be complaining.

One maybe minor thing: I'm gonna miss the different lighting on the normal stages when Splatfest ends in about an hour. Looks so great.

Just turned a match around in the last 45 seconds with a 4-splat in about 5 seconds followed by missiles aimed right near their base. Hoo boy, what a rush.

That's what I'm arguing, good ketchup player will be matched with good mayo player by the power system. If the system can't find a Mayo team with close power it can always pair them with another ketchup team, which wont affect the result. I don't think we can assume the average win is 51% or 52%.
You can't assume it, but you can't dismiss it either... The thing is: the 75% win for the most popular team assume it's 50% win/loss average between teams, and if it's 51% the 75% become 32% * (and below 10% if it's 52% win on average)

(* assuming 1% of standard deviation, but that's another guess)

There's a lack of data to be able to draw any kind of conclusion here about the chances of the most popular team winning or loosing.

Just had a Shifty Station match where I snuck onto the enemy side, sat on top of the stack of whatever there and waited.

Watched an inkling girl appear and meticulously Aerospray every corner. Then she walked close enough...

And then she was splatted.

Good job Team Mayo. You guys definitely gave me some good games during the Splatfest, and it's a shame that the popularity was as skewed as it was so that I couldn't get more. Oh well, we all got paid in the end.

Ketchup is like 25% sugar. If you eat it at lunch and supper you'll hit your daily sugar intake, and that's not counting cereal (mostly sugar), "juice" (mostly sugar), snacks (mostly sugar), and dessert.

It's a condiment you have on occasion. If you're worried a bit of dipping sauce is going to tip your over, you need to really look at the rest of your diet like say the sugary drinks and snacks.

Congrats to the Mayo-heads. Hopefully next time they offer a selection of a condiment I actually like ;p

Next time for sure I'll go with the less popular choice. Matchmaking for Ketchup was hell.

Ah, my first Splatoon 2 splatfest ends in victory! It's nice to see these super sea snails again!

This is nice compared to my Splatoon 1 Splatfest career, which only had like a few victories.

Are we allowed to talk about the Reddit datamine? There's a map called Tunnel. I suggested a week ago an underground map and I hope that's what Tunnel is!

I imagine this has been discussed but the appears to have been a huge datamine including maps, weapons and possible Octolings: https://www.reddit.com/r/splatoon/comments/6rvvhd/major_spoilers_datamined_information_reagrding/

I was hoping for more Curling bomb specials.

The one thing the new scoring system makes clear that it's that Team games are much more heavily weighted on the results than solo and the best players on either team should focus on that exclusively. There are going to be much fewer team games played than solo so each individual win has a greater impact and you don't have to play the competent teammate roulette as with solo queues.

Is the umbrella and the starter weapon unique to the singleplayer? I don't think Sheldon sells any variation of those weapons.

Heroshot is just a reskinned normal Splattershot, Hero Brella doesnt unlock until the normal Brella is added to the game so don't bother wasting your time on that.

I like that Hero Shot looks like a P90 so I'm gonna unlock that and the Dualies for now. It feels like a gun straight out of CS or COD.

This Splattfest has been real boring if you chose Tomato Ketchup, either get matches against other Ketchups, or get stuck on a team of numpties and end up getting thrashed.

Yawn.

I didn't like either condiment. I just picked Ketchup because I heard that was the bigger team. And look where that got me!

Just picked up the game yesterday, stoked to play! Now if only the Switch had better wifi signal, so I could play it outside the living room...

I wish I knew the thing about the Brella before I wasted my time doing exactly that. Thanks game.

The hero weapons are really underwhelming. No alternative loadout, and they don't look very good either.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but in Splatfest for example, when there are three stages listed (or in a normal public quick play match when there are two), are you supposed to eventually get the second or third maps? Maybe it's just a bad coin flip for me, but I seem to always just get the first map over and over and over again. The way it's set up makes it seem like the other maps should be in rotation as well, but that just hasn't been my experience so far.

Yawn.

This was my experience. Had like 3 times the matches against other stronger ketchup teams than I did against mayo teams.

This splatfest also showed me how much I've regressed since Splatoon 1. I feel like I'm garbage at it now.

Completely bad luck.

Where's this Gif from?

I've been using the Splattershot Pro for the Splatfest and I have to say... This gun. I like it!

I wish it had some more universally useful subweapon, but the Ink Cloud is amazingly useful. The gun itself packs a punch, but it is worth remembering that it has a long narrow shot more than a wide paint friendly shot. The move of shooting out a lane of ink and swimming through it does not recover the ink spent either, so that's something to remember. I bought an Ink Saver (Main) shirt off Splatnet, but I can't use that yet. So I have to try it again in normal battles later.

Still, it outranging many of the powerful close combat weapons has turned the tide enough times for me to keep using it for now. Honestly thinking if I should try out a Charger at some point, even if I'm not entirely sure I trust my aim with one...

Lol! Same here. I rage so much because there's not much coordination. Just split off in whatever direction and get splatter one after another.
