Is there an ability that kills you if you manage to ink someone else before? Because I'm still trying to wrap me head around what happened in a match yesterday. I wasn't hit by another weapon because there were no indications on my screen of decreasing health. It just happened. Splat.

It always tells you what killed you after you die. "Splatted by ink mine" etc. Should just watch for that.

Probably lag.

Perhaps you or whoever killed you was having some lag.

Stupid thunderstorms, decided to take a break for now and add my name on the spreadsheet and add other people. My NNID is the same as my handle here

Man, staying awake for over 24 hours starts to take its toll on me. Gonna open up my gear and call it a night. Almost lost us that last round.

Anybody got tips for how to use mines effectively? I can't seem to get the hang of them, and they seem far less useful when it comes to the primary objective of painting new territory.

I kept getting wrecked by a guy who just dropped an ink mine whenever i got near him. If I was right on top of him, it was already too late, I was dead. Also if you see someone trying to climb up to a height that you're on, you can drop a mine at the top and by the time the animation of them getting up onto the ledge finishes it'll be too late for them.

Lag is magic. Actually no lag is this game is the fucking worst. Especially when you shoot ink at the ground and nothing happens, and then you just have to wait until your ink shows up. And if it happens in enemy ink your stuck walking around at a snail's pace the whole time.

Edit: to specify, you probably killed someone who actually killed you first, but then their ink didn't actually load until after they died, resulting in a sudden, random death for you.

I haven't gotten any weapons with mines yet, but I see people stick them on ledges or behind grates.

Starting to experiment with different weapons since the currnet stages are better suited to longer range weapons. So far the custom Jet Squelcher is pretty good, the Kraken really comes in handy sometimes too, though I always forget to use it when I'm surrounded by people, since I'm too stressed out!

I also tried the charger again, and I just can't get a handle on it. I did great with it in the Testfire, but I can't use it at all now. Makes me wish there was an option to play training matches with bots so I could try out the different weapons, it'd be better than the firing range.

I'm gonna try out the rollers again when saltspray rig or Urchin Underpass are available, since they seem better suited to those stages.

Now something completely unrelated, I hate it when my team doesn't paint the area around the spawn point! Especially when using slower weapons and they have the roller. It's really frustrating and I've lost a bunch of games because of it.

Comm Error pls.
Yeah same, my paint wasn't registering and I'm oh oh

This sucks

Why would you wanna train against bots instead of people?

I find that I immdediately move the camera to get that little area and so does at least another guy, ahahahaha.

However, sometimes my team does a very incomplete job at painting the beginning of our turf so before heading out into harm's way, I clean that shit up by painting.

Yea I usually do it when I'm using the splattershot or aerospray, but the weapons I'm using today are pretty bad for quickly covering an area so someone else needs to do it, and they almost never do :(

on the flipside, it's super awkward when all 4 of you paint around the spawn at saltspray rig in the beginning.

Why you ran away though!

Oh man the skate park is fantastic!!
Standing on those little iron walkways in front of the enemy base wow

I'm helping my family install a boiler after the last one exploded. I'm probably going to be jumping in between that and this crack now. I wanna hit level 12 or 13 before the end of the day.

I've had lag only a few times so far and never in a face off ugh :(
