Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Painting walls should count though. The game didn't say anything about that.

Counting walls for score, as the game is now, would not work as the overhead map could not show paint on the walls. In turn there would be no indication of where you need to paint, which coupled with the lack of voice chat would mean spending the game circling the map inspecting walls instead of not staring at walls the whole game.

To those that are saying: "I'm not going to spend $60 for so little content, i'll wait till August. Damn you Nintendo!"

I look forward to August hearing: "What the fuck?! It's been 3 months and the game is STILL $60?! Damn you Nintendo!"

Or, you know, they could charge it as a budget title, like in Europe. ;)

I think I underestimated snipers.

These are nasty.

From my experience, they're either the worst or the best. Some people own the game with the chargers.

Cool. I should put more time into learning the charger, but I hate feeling like I am not helping the team enough.

It's not like it's totally worthless for painting, especially in long maps. You just won't see top scores with it (unless the rest of your team is doing something wrong).

The worst thing is that people waiting to buy it August will likely be crushed in online matches. 2~3 months is enough time for day 1 players to get really good at the game. I think those considering not buying the game until August should consider that (and also consider the game isn't lackluster in terms of content at all, in its current state).

Oh I know, but when you aren't good with a weapon there is always the feeling that you could have helped more with a different weapon.

These people clearly didn't own Hyrule Warriors.

Plus this experience is so fresh, so solid. I like experiences that are unique and worthwhile.

Meh, they should have never charged $60 for it in the first place. As bad a rip off as Evolve in my books. At least here in Europe its a budget release. £20-25 in the UK.

Wow, I did not know you could upgrade you weapons in Single Player till I was on the 7th stage. I really need to start reading but it's just to fun to just play lol.

Welp ! got my game in the end, TNT guy was just too late cause he didn't find my street on his GPS. (And Amazon refunded me shipping !) So all is good :D

Already played for 4 hours, and I'm not that bad, always second in my team regardless of win or loss ... :P

Game is a hell lot of fun !

True, the beginning will probably be rough. My first few matches with it I usually got last place and couldn't hit shit, but I've since improved a lot and I'm getting pretty good in sniping people and holding key areas. In my latest match I killed the entire enemy team that invaded our base :p

Hyrule Warriors went down to $48 fairly quickly, as did Tropical Freeze.

The difference between This and Evolve is that all the currently planned DLC for Splatoon is free, while Evolve had expensive DLC from day one, ontop of the $60+ price tag.

I like how the Inkzooka rewards you for the lower ground, but it's almost impossible to hit people below you.

It's awesome, but I don't know why he did it. We're guaranteed the Inklings eventually, either as Smash 4 DLC or in Smash 5. It's inevitable.
I mean one its not really, and two why bother doing anything in that case? The guys just having fun haha

Looks really good too!

Plus, the Inkling's official art for Splatoon already look very Smash-like
So hard to win games with one person afk or one person who doesn't know what he is doing.
If there is one thing I would love to be added to the game is a bot replacing disconnected players. Surely it doesn't solve the problem, but it helps.

I enjoyed it more than the multi so far. It's so good.

It's exactly what I'd want from a new Nintendo IP. The online is fun and all, bare bones as it is, but the single player flirts with a grand new adventure. When you're in the hub and looking around, just imagine being able to freely swim and jump around it...

So good.

Releasing unfinished games is problem because they often have gamebreaking bugs or some expensive dlc is already announced before the game has even been released which makes it feel like customers are been ripped off.

Splatoon works perfectly from day one and it's going to have a nice amount of free content. You could wait for August and buy a game with more stuff. It wouldn't chance anything compared to that game would been released actually in August.

But you don't want to. You wanna be part of the thing from the beginning. And then you aren't happy how you have only one game mode and 5 maps. But it's kinda your own fault because you are hasty.

Not really defending Nintendo but I rather have the game with only a little content now and get everything week by week than habe to wait for August to have everything from the start. I'm really enjoying my 7 hours single player and 5 maps of multiplayer fun.

The Kraken roller is just unequivocally better than the standard splat roller. What you lose in ability to maaaaaaybe kill someone from long distance and flush out snipers is more than made up for by the support you can give your team with the radar thing and the longevity you get thanks to the Kraken. Averaging 900 points a game now; people still don't know that the roller ain't a rushdown class, though :(

Also, this game NEEDS something like MKTV. Replays at the very least.
