The biggest problem with the game is the low amount of maps and the arbitrary decision to limit you to two maps every two hours. I've played the game for four hours already online and I still haven't seen one of the maps because whenever I get on I happen to get on during a time when maps I've already played have come up. I got on today about an hour ago and I had to play the Mall map four times in a row. I mean, I like the Mall, but these decisions make the maps get old really quick.

I love the skate park, you can pretty much play king of the hill on the highest structure, it's fun.

I got it a week early from simplygames in the UK. Had to wait for the servers to flip on so I just went through the single player mode. Once the servers were on I was hooked and couldn't stop playing like a lot of people here. Got to 20 in no time.

Man, the difference between the GAF rooms and random rooms is like night and day >.>
Of course you are, you are not letting enemies get that areas for themselves making you have +50% of the map
I mean you're not static in the tower all game but you're moving with that as the centre and keeping enemies off the side
Wait, I thought it capped at Lv20
Shit maybe it did, I just realized I was thinking of something else, sorry.
But that room was full of absurdly high levels.

I don't know what I was thinking yesterday jumping into a room with Heath in it as a level 1. Pacifism is strong in this game too!

Any word on when ranked battles will be available? Also, I know its only been a day, but when are they gonna start rolling out the free updates? A few weeks from now? Or do we just not know?

Same with Mario Kart 8... I play with randoms online and I'm like: "Hey I'm getting good at this, winning every race. Imma switch to GAF-Kart now" *get's on 10th place everytime* *get's blue shell'ed on 10th place* *cries*
They're most likely not AFK. If you disconnect you get 0.

I wonder why GAF is miles better than everyone else. If there was a rating system, 0 being a grandma who has never played video games before, 5 being completely average and typical, and 10 being the worlds best player, the average GAFer would be like an 8
Even in art threads over in off topic its filled with people who are crazy good and professional
I sometimes see people just sitting at the base. I think they go into a sleeping animation too.

Loving this game so far. Haven't even touched the single player yet.
But does anyone else wish that Turf War games lasted a minute or two longer? I feel like sometimes we're finally getting into the flow of the game and it ends.
Also, I'm pretty sure ink covered walls count towards your team's score. I've seen a few games that went over 100% of turf covered. So I'm guessing that's the walls.

Wait, so Ranked Battle isn't even open yet? Oh, I was just thinking it was walled behind Level 10.
The limited ink challenges with the Squid amiibos are pretty hard. The game teaches you to ink-jizz all over everything all the time, and not being able to that really forces you to change how you play.

Best weapon yet
Anybody else constantly getting connection errors? Game ran fine for me when I got it yesterday afternoon. But when I wanted to play it again yesterday evening and today I'm constantly getting errors. Either in the lobbies or a few seconds after a match starts. I haven't been able to complete a single online game since and thus stuck to singleplayer for most of my time.

2 chargers can be good. They're only bad at turf wars if someone is bad with it and they get really bad if they are. Still might not get the highest score every time but you should be getting a high score and twice as many kills as everyone else.
Somehow this seems to be a common theme with people saying these 2 things. Maybe you really are MLG-no-scope-pro, but I'm lvl 15 since last night and generally score top or 2nd by a few points and the occasional "omg how did I get last?" But the few people I've run into that seem really good, I've felt that there was no way they could have been moving the way they were using twinsticks. Perhaps you can share some photos of your end scores, but that does seem like a lot of work just to show some stranger online (and maybe I'm just really bad in reality).
And I get the feeling when you say competitive shooter, you don't mean a PC shooter like Counter-strike (y'know, twin sticks and all). But I think everyone agrees that there should be more content.
Another disadvantage to the Kraken that people haven't really pointed out is that you have to jump to kill someone. What you can do, which may not be 100% reliable, is just stay in squid form and not even move after some dodging/running and sometimes they'll glide right past you unless they are spamming the jump.
And for the people complaining about right stick y axis controls, maybe just an excuse but:
Chargers are awesome but they're kinda useless on Turf Wars. They're very good for killing people but you should find a tall place and stay there, which means that you won't get enough points. On the other hand, roller is good but you get killed so easy. I think splattershots are pretty much the best weapons. Pretty balanced on everything.
Also, I still want a mode that the objective is to defeat the opponent(s).

Are you invincible while you're a Kraken? I swear I've shot a bunch of those things enough to kill them several times over and they won't go down. If they are that should be changed, that special is pretty much a guaranteed kill, and it's not hard at all to get several people.
Everything else I've found a counter for.
I hope they add some completely new weapons at some point. Like a new class, not just new rifles, new rollers, etc. I really don't like the chargers and the rollers are really boring to play IMO. I have every weapon available to me so far but I'm really only using the .52 Gal and the Splattershot.

Oh no! All my new gear in the shops for today looks so bad. It's all puffy jackets and bad hats. I have a few 3 slot gear, but I absolutely refuse to wear those. Time to check the hub often to find someone who has something cool looking so I can steal it.
