Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Map switch can't come soon enough.
You were lagging pretty bad for me that last match, and I don't think it was me because I killed you then sendou tried to kill me like 5 seconds later and then I just splatted out of nowhere by you while you were dead. You were fine all day before that though.

Yeah, my router is acting up, might do a restart.

(Bought wired accessories from Amazon, can't wait to replace wireless for good... never reliable ._.)

Really? Seems you'd be an awfully easy target, specially to long range weapons like the Gals and Squelchers. Plus playing like that on maps like Pork Mackerel with it's damn corridors would be suicide in my opinion... And they could easily just run and hide from you in squid form and then kill you if you are without an echo.
But I'll try it later, shame I'll only be able to play on the weekend :(

Which is why I only "seriously" use the brush on the wider maps: dome, rig, and skatepark. I main nozzlenose, but as the same role for mall, depot and port. I'm actually using brush on the current maps right now to see if I can change my view on this.

Fun matches as always. I liked the part where I shot ink. I didn't like the part where I got splatted every 5 seconds. 7/10

I'll be back on in a couple of hours. Look out for a charger that can't get kills to save his life.

Oh ok, nozzlenose is my nemesis when I'm playing inkbrush, dammit they get me everytime.

Okay so I guess I still have no clue how to re-roll the secondary stats on gear.

Spyke supposedly does this right? Whenever I talk to him he just tells me about ordering the same gear as others in my hub. Not sure where this option is.

Are you lvl 20? I believe that option only opens up once you hit 20.

He doesn't do it until you're level 20.

Once you reach level 20 he will allow you to reroll gear
Edit: Beaten twice

I guess I should be paying more attention, but I want to confirm: does the brush swing actually deflect bullets and bombs?

I'm trying to condition myself to attack from the side or behind anyway, but when I engage brush users head on, they apparently don't die even when I've put like 6 shots in them, and I'm pretty sure the Jet Squelcher kills in 3 or 4 hits. And if I do end up engaging a brush head on, should I switch over to Burst Bombs or should I just run away?

You have to reach level 20 to reroll/ unlock additional slots.

I've heard so far it deflects bullets and inkzooka. Charger shots will break through. Not sure about bombs.

Just had the funniest match on Blackbelly ranked, I was on the middle tower, killed a guy and 2 teammates tried super jumping to him. I laid a mine, hid in the ink and popped out to point blank OHKO them. The first guy then super jumped to their corpses, they super jumped to his corpse, rinse and repeat. I just kept laying a mine and point blank blasting them every time they landed.

25-3 K/D, 2100 points and a full 0-100 point victory on Blackbelly that match with the Luna Blaster, my god I love it.

I tested the Luna Blaster and I think it is the weapon I like the least. You're like a shooting robot playing in slow motion with it. Back to brush now.

I only played enough og this to hit level 4 and do one level before I got stuck into the Witcher 3 so I really only just started playing this yesterday. As always I go in for single player before multi as always and I just finished single player.

For some reason I found it way easier to pick up and play. Something just clicked about the analogue stick gyro mix and I was flying through the si gle player. Even though this is a multiplayer centric title, I loved the single player and that boss fight. I had heard it was good but that must be the best boss fight of any game I have played in my 30 odd years of playing games. It was long, hectic and the mechanics of it felt perfect. Absolutely loved it.

Going to start getting into some multi now while PC version of Batman AK continues to shit itself up. Its nice to have a system like the Wii U that just isn't frustrating and has immediately fun games to play.

Splatoon has to become one of Nintendo's mainstays, the best new IP along with Wonderful 101 this gen.

1. No one? I mean I like having the annoying players on my team but I don't think we synergize or anything.

2. Blue stays up all night reviewing the tape on me so that when we face off he knows exactly how I like to start a match and counters it. Stop making me change things up blue!

Heng is exceptionally good so I always have work extra hard when facing him.

3. No one. I like a challenge.

I'm the same, but that question was more of a thinly veiled "who do you give props for always figuring you out after the fact". :P

I want a video of this. I want tips on how to get hi scores.

Don't know if this will help you specifically since this is an Inkbrush video but I pretty much learned how to OD on Kelp Dome via this video. Good sub weapons that ink consistently in one area/direction while you focus on another are amazing on this stage.

.52 gal is the best close combat weapon aside from the Blaster which is like on a category of its own. It's definitely my close combat weapon of choice even though I haven't been using it much lately. The problem with the inkbrush it relies too much on the surprise factor, once you lose that surprise you're at a significant disadvantage because someone can just retreat and you have very few options to do a chase down. With guns you can still ink while chasing the person down, with an inkbrush, you have to be stationary while you swipe or you'll be too predictable if you run with your brush. You're often in a disadvantage in corridor-like areas while the central area in the skatepark is like heaven for a inkbrush with so many different areas and elevations to climb in and out of.

Until someone perfects that next-level ninja inkbrush play, it's just not that versatile in terms of combat in my opinion.

I dunno man, I legitimately think that the Inkbrush has very high combat capabilities even taking into account the "melee vs projectile" discrepancy. The name of the game with the weapon is awareness. You won';t outright win fights but you can control so much area so quickly that it's ok to "live for another day" and get a second wind elsewhere. You can just as easily re-engage at your own terms so things are never just a binary "you lose" against other players unless you

It's so hard to do anything with out ink resistant shoes, how does everyone do it?

I never actually felt the difference until recently when I opted to try out my Red Hi Horses again. It can get so rough getting stuck in enemy ink, but I like my current looks so much. :(

Does anyone bother with ninja squid anymore? Someone always has echolocator.

I still believe in it and I want to finish grinding slots for all my gear so I can work on re-rolling my pink polo for this guy's setup, but Echolocator has forced me into trying out all kinds of configurations (while also bringing out my inner stylist again) to either counter it or just focus on other strengths I can bring to the team.

JP Miiverse celebration of 1mil sales.

Which reminds me that I need to do something here too. I'm thinking of Squidding up the old Player's Choice, Million Seller graphic.

That moment when you are one of the founding members of the gaf room and you go to change your weapon and can't get back in.

I hate this so much. :lol

Yeah, based on my limited experience using the inkbrush ink management is really important.

This is why I hardly ever jump and brush. I want to be on the floor near my ink so I'm skimming over it and have access to a way out immediately in the event that I'm being chased head on. A combination of Ink Saver Main and Ink Recovery Up goes such a long way. I can also vouch for Ink Saver Sub (as a primary or 2+ secondaries) as it will really help you to generate more sprinklers "5th players" and liberal use of them wins games.

I hate those damn moving cars, they always get me killed

Yeah, same here. I get what they were trying to do, get you cornered and make you react on the fly, but it just fails at it. If you go backwards and you accidentally hit a bulldozer the game is like "dude, have you seen the beautifull sky?". It also sucks when you go out your way to flank someone and a bulldozer just decides to fuck you over.

OK Splat-GAF, I hope one of you can come through for me on this one. Does anyone here have the Red Vector Tee from Takoroka? I absolutely need that after seeing someone with it fighting my brother. That thing is godlike, Ink Saver main AND the high chances of Special Charge Up subs? Yeah, need to cop dat right now. :lol

I will never forget the time one of them pushed me into one of DaBoss' lane clearing Killer Wails...
