Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

I don't think it's that OP. I die in 2-3 hits regardless and I don't think standing in enemy ink would really speed things up. I use it mostly for the mobility buff to escape when I'm overwhelmed or to swim across lines of enemy ink undetected.
The huge damage reduction makes it harder to pick off careless players when using weapons like most rollers.

By "nerf hard" I mean to like 2/3rds speed compared to to like 75% speed which would barely even be a nerf. Something like 30% speed would be too much though.

I actually think it's a bad ability for most weapons.

I was just minding my own business recovering ink in a corner of saltspray last night and Ragnarok, in the center. just randomly threw a bomb over the wall which just so happened to land right on top of me. My only thought was HOW THE FUCK?

I like to use the bombs to blindfire over walls where my gun can't reach to ink turf and hopefully hit people trying to flank. My favorite way to play Saltspray is to take the top and middle of the rig early and spend most of the match defending it. Bombs have better range and I can toss them over cover into choke points and hit the sniping nests and the areas leading up to them.

It's good for nozzles given the "puddle line" the gun creates

...I think I've reached that point in a long session where I do worse and worse as I get tired. I'm done for the night, GGs and if you haven't add me: Jahranimo

Oh wow I had a match at urchin underpass, robotguy was there, where I was holding off like three people at the doorway choke point into our area for the last 30 seconds of the match. I thought we had lost until the results screen came up and saw that while the enemy team was distracted by me, the rest of my team had gone into their side and inked the place up giving us the win.

The gear abilities nerfs are good. Gear diversity needs to be encouraged. I don't think the Kraken needs to be nerfed, but if there's just a vocal community that hates fighting against it I suppose it's fine. The game is aiming at the widest audience possible after all. The inkstrike nerf remains to be seen.

- Patch incoming on the 1st of July
- Something about matchmaking when taking a long time during the Fests. This section I kinda skipped over.
- Special Tuning:
- Inkstrike: Some kind of change to the impact area... not sure if it's too big or too small, lmao. (Think it might be too big atm?)
- Kraken: When firing on kraken, (I think this means the knockback effect will be stronger against Krakens)
- Gear Power
- Ninja Squid: Slowing movement speed in ink further
- Stealth Jump: Time to super jump increased
- Ink-Resist Shoes: Reduced effectiveness
- Other: Other things to ensure a pleasant user experience

トルネード:使用時、着弾の場所によって塗れる面積に大きな差が発生してしまう点を修正しました。

Inkstrike: Fixed the bug, where the painted area differed largely based on the location of the impact.

The area that inkstrike covers right now is different based on the location you place it. This patch will fix this problem and the area should always be the same size.

Oh ha. I think I was on your team. I didn't even realize that was going on. :p

Oh well that makes sense!
Yeah, kinda. :P

That was against me. I thought we had it, but then I noticed our base was all inked up, but it was too late for me to really do anything about it.

Omg I got first place for the first time ever in a gaf match even though Xeteh kept killing me. It's actually even more fun playing with gaffers.

My translation: When it's used, depending on the location of impact, the area smeared with ink can differ greatly from the AoE mark. This bug was fixed.

Basically the same thing. So yeah, I'll go with what you said. lol

Oh, and here's my amazing Kraken Roller strategy guys:

1) Go swim around trying to find people.
2) Overestimate my range and jump out swinging way too early.
3) Get owned.
4) Rinse and repeat until the match is over.

I'm Nathan so if any of you were in that room earlier in one of the matches where I wasn't lagging you can confirm this. lololololol
I can't roller

Is there any headgear with run speed up as the main ability aside from the football helmet? I don't really like the equipment that covers your face

I played some randoms tonight, where did all these trolls and griefers come from? Out of 10 games, 9 of them had someone sitting in spawn spamming emotes.
