Do you still have to leave the lobby to change weapons/equipment in the full game or can you do that while staying in the lobby?

How many levels does the singleplayer mode offer? And how many collectibles you can find? Are the boss battles challenging?
I think it is still outside the lobby.
Abilities:
- you get one main ability per gear (excluding weapons)
- stars indicate how many sub-abilities your gear can have
- sub-abilities will become unlocked on your gear once you get enough EXP for gear
- you can add more sub-ability slots and re-roll abilities with Super Sea Snails (you can make 1-star gear usable)
- sub-abilities are random
- you can special order gear, but the abilities won't be the same
- sub-abilities can be stacked (don't know anything about diminishing returns)
- some abilities glow when in use in-game (underneath your special weapon meter)
- (not confirmed) only 13 of he 24 abilities can be sub-abilities
I think that is everything.
And I'm saying the other team got dominated because Andre rushed to the middle.
Sure, one person got through, but you can see it wouldn't make much of a difference. Even of the other team had everyone super jump to that person. Enemy ink is an obstacle like unclimbable walls, but one you can change.
Yea, he did take a bit long to get to the middle, but he was the first to get there and painted on the enemy's half of the middle part of the map quickly. If the enemy team wants to get there, they would have to paint over that.

I wouldn't call that a pub stomp. Sure they got pushed back into the spawn, but they held their ground as well as they can. The scoreboard makes it clear Neal (NWR) and Andre (GameXplain) did most of the work when you subtract the 300p win bonus. And there's the fact that it was a 55:34 score.

He beat most people there I thought? And he did so with having a Special ability, which most of the others didn't, which gave him a big advantage

Turns out that level 4 to 5 requires 3,700 EXP. I'm guessing the 7,250 number should be 7300.
So it could be off by about 100 or so EXP.
You're right. Watching it again I overstated the win but it still wasn't close and they definitely couldn't hold their ground. Regardless I still don't think you can learn much from that.
There was someone above him in a seemingly much better position painting over his work and more who could have slowed him down and covered more ground. It makes me wonder which path is better at the beginning.
He beat the other team (although the pink person above him at the beginnig was there when he got to the middle) but that doesn't mean he was fast.

The D-Pad commands for North Americans are the worst.
PAL English gets "Over here!" and "Nice!" while NTSC English gets "C'mon!" and "Booyah!". The French commands in the above videos are the same as the PAL English ones except in French.
"C'mon!" is in no way an alternative to "Over here!". C'mon is something I would imagine is something people will use when you are getting a bit frustrated with your team and you're telling them "to get their shit together".

I thought it said "to me" instead of "over here" in the PAL version of the testfire. I could be remembering wrong though. But I agree it's better then the US versions of the shoutouts. Any word if we're able to customize those shoutouts in the full game?
Two maps are set for four hours. Out of those two, yes, the map is random.
well, the Mariners are owned by Nintendo, so Nin ads are always there. Good to see it though.

When this was announced at last year's e3 I was fairly excited, but as we get closer to launch I'm less and less interested. The game reminds me of some of the shooters that were on the dreamcast, most specifically Outtrigger.
I like the art and the colorful graphics, but the gameplay looks retro in a really bland way.

It just reminds me of some of the Japanese arcade type games that game out during the Dreamcast era. The sort of thing that was fun to play in really short bursts (or at real arcades), but didn't really work on consoles.
Obviously this is just my personal sentiment, and I know a lot of people really liked games like Outtrigger on Dreamcast. But back in the day the arcade shooters that I started playing on that console were probably the catalyst for me moving on to what I considered to be meatier shooters on the PC.
Again, I really like the art, and some of the single player footage that I seen looks like a typical (fantastic) Nintendo platformer. I'm just slightly less interested in the multiplayer, since last year's e3 reveal.

I have never experienced a shooter on the Dreamcast or in arcades (those were exclusively KOF and Marvel vs. Capcom machines to me) and my experience with Splatoon was incredible.

It's the Aerospray MG. It was shown in the Direct and it's an airbrush. Been dying to try that one out for a while, it looks like it has quite a good loadout as well.

Yea, you're right. It is "To me!".
I feel like people would have told us if it is customizable. Also, I don't really get why all 4 sides of the D-Pad don't have messages attached to them.
