Can you explain? I don't get it.
joining to a friend without spectating, but just a countdown. If its in Mario Kart, WHY NOT IN SPLATOON?

Lack of a spectator mode is a bit of a bummer

Yes it does, actually. Only up to two people can join a full lobby and wait though. Could be the same with Splatoon. But does Mario Kart let you join full matches?]
Mario Kart 8 races only last 3-5 minutes as well.I guess so, that would be cool to have, but games are like 3-5 minutes so is waiting such a big deal?

Your edit is already accounted for in the first part of my post. Mario Kart 8 allows you to spectate full lobbies as well for two people. So 14 people could be in the lobby with 2 of them spectating.I edited my post.
It's been like that with a lot of game specific threads for some reason. You can be fully onboard with the game and still have criticism for the game. People can't seem to accept that.Ladies, I'm not complaining about the game [day 1 here] just saying that I find it kind of archaic not having a spectator mode at all.
Lack of spectator mode is a little bit of a bummer, but for as much other stuff as the game seems to be adding over time, I wouldn't be all that surprised to find that they do find a way to squeeze it in later down the road. Or, even without an actual camera of the match, it might be fun to display an updated map of the current battle, so you can at least see the ink being spread around.
And hey, on the bright side, at least you'll have Squid Jump to keep you company while waiting, so at least you're not just staring blankly at a timer the whole time, even without spectating.

I forgot all about that actually.
As much as spectator mode would be nice that's a clever way to tide people over.
It could still happen if there is a queue limit for people to join a full lobby like how it does with Mario Kart 8.Yeah, but hey, it's better than an error message, forcing you to spam join blindly over and over and over in an attempt to get into the lobby.

Agreeing, and agreeing and then dismissing are two different things.Plus everyone is agreeing with him so I am not sure how your second comment applies to him.
Viola, huh? Guess we'll have a lovely sounding shitstorm at least.I think a big part of the issue is conflicting priorities. Like for feature X you'll have one group of people where its absence is a complete deal breaker and another group of people who legitimately don't care or actively hate feature X. Then both groups look at each other and can't figure out why the other doesn't care about feature X as much/little as they do and heads start butting. Mix in a little bit of internet hyperbole that shows up on both sides and VIOLA, you have a shitstorm![]()
Yea, it would be really cool to see overhead replays of the ground being covered by ink.

Mario Kart already has the code needed to spectate via Mario Kart tv-style angles. I would assume it's not here because it would be extra work for something cool, but not explicitly useful.joining to a friend without spectating, but just a countdown. If its in Mario Kart, WHY NOT IN SPLATOON?

Have some awesome Splat Zones footage incoming tonight. Should be ready to go in about an hr or so.

Which mode do you like more so far???
Cool cool.Tough question. I really like both. Turf War is tons of fun while Splat Zones feels more team-focused, but is really hectic. They both offer such different experiences. As of now, I think Turf War is my favorite of the two.
Nate did you get the upgraded Jet Squelcher yet?
I can buy the Custom Jet Squelcher. I'll shoot some footage with it tomorrow, though it seems to be the same as the standard just with a different special and side weapon.
I just want it to be test fire day already so that I can get my fix before release day D:Ugh so long till release day. Just let it be may 29th already ;_;
Thank you~
Also, I saw in a video that there's a charger that has the splash wall sub weapon and the missile strike special. Does anyone know if that specific charger is any good? I love the weapon combo.
Well done both games!
That jump down death from above was pretty swell![]()
Looks like Andre switched from the Splattershot jr to something else.
Just saw the first video and wow, that was one-sided. It was completely the other team's fault for that though.
Aerospray RGHe seems to be using the Aerospray MG.
Yeah, I'm more comfortable with dual analog controls. I tested the gyro controls pretty heavily but felt that dual analog was a better fit for me. Absolutely agree that players should stay out of the Splat Zones in this mode. As you could see in the first video, I gained control of the zone several times by splatting an enemy in the zone. I think these videos show the intensity of the mode pretty well, but also how quickly a team can lose when they don't approach the mode properly.Just saw the first video and wow, that was one-sided. It was completely the other team's fault for that though.
I think one thing that should not be done in Splat Zones is to be inside the Splat Zone itself. Enemy ink is constantly going to be shot into the Splat Zones so that just makes it easier for the other team to take control of it by splatting you which makes you explode in their ink.
You really used the Splattershot Pro's range to your advantage. Thanks for the vids.
Gonna watch the second one now.
Oh yea, how come you only got +15 points at the end? I wonder if it is cause everyone is at C- rank.
The second video is a lot more heated. Constant losing and gaining control lol. And it seems you aren't using gyro controls, but you are doing great with dual analog. I'm guessing dual analog is more comfortable for you.

Can't unhear the lady in the vocals saying "fuck, fuck, fuck".
