The worst part about this movie is that it's about to make me watch the prequels again. I just need more Star Wars and I've already seen this twice I shouldn't pay to go again.

It's going to be terrible..oh god why?!

read the making of books. I'm reading the first one and it's great.

I don't disagree >.<

From a pure cinematic experience like I had a way way way better time with Creed even last month. The movies were always the smallest part of Star Wars to me.

Well that's cause Creed is a better movie, that ain't debatable :p
I get what you're saying, though. It's more about the fringe stuff.

If you take out all the Star Wars elements, It could work very well as Jeanne D'Arc movie.

I'd need to know more about that idea to decide either way.

It's a well made adventure movie, something very hard to find today.

I can't roll with that one. The most endearing part of the movie seems to be the brand.

Would have? Isn't BB8 completely real?

And this guy busted a gut to show off his mad skills only to be ignored.

I've largely blocked out the PT, but even so this is technically a clonetrooper, not a stormtrooper. I also feel less inclined to care about the actions of a cartoon person who isn't really there.

Apparently watch Clone Wars. First season seems pretty rough, but people seriously stand by the later seasons.

It looked like Luke was standing in front of a make shift grave. I need to watch it again but I thought I saw a tombstone type thing. Thought he was mourning Han or something.

I too was unsatisfied with that ending. She doesn't say a word, and just holds out the lightsaber for forever. Felt awkward.

They should have made it more of an adventure to find Luke, like when Luke had to find Yoda. Yoda knew he was coming too but he didn't just stand waiting with a hood on. And just because they know what planet he's on, how would they know exactly which island he was on? All they found was a galaxy map.

There were no doubt CG shots of BB8 as well as practical and practical + augmented CG

Doesnt matter, looked great, couldnt tell the difference.

Saw the movie twice and I'm going to see it again this coming Saturday.

Hmm right now I'm watching The Clone Wars on netflix. I'll probably run through this and then check out SW rebels.

Just got back from the theatre. kind of disappointed, but for reasons I see have already been said. Mainly that it rips off a new hope too much and the Rey is way to good at everything.

Funny, that practical BB8 on that real life sand didn't seem to skid uncontrollably.

Well, to be fair BB8 wasn't a 100% stand alone, remote controlled thing at that point, it was a practical puppet driven by puppeteers who were running around and painted out in post. So I'm not sure the actual BB8 they are trotting out on the red carpet could have actually moved on loose sand like it does in the movie, or if it is just kind of faked because the actual locomotion was accomplished by guys running through the sand and pushing the puppet.

Honestly it's not worth it man. Just forget they existed, close your eyes and blast Dual of Fates instead.

They cut the military back thirty or so years ago before the First Order were even formed. The First Order have assaulted a few outposts but are still based in the unknown regions of space. The Resistance only find about it's creation during the events of the film. As for resources, I'm assuming there are several untapped planets in the uncharted regions. But other than that, Star Wars. I doubt JJ and Kasdan gave that much thought to how they'd build it.

None of that is set up by the movie... at all.

watch star was the clone wars and rebels! these are great shows. destroy your prequel dvds! ^^

Does it really pick up? I watched the movie and it's a catastrophe of fart jokes. Is the play just to straight up skip Season 1?

I keep trying to get into it but I've still only made it about a quarter of the way into season 1. It's not getting better. I'd like to skip ahead but that's just not how I roll.

It's a scientist pointing out what's real science and what isn't. It's for fun. When he does these things they are not about the quality of the film. I don't understand the people getting pissed off at NDT.

I'm not pissed lol. I just think it takes away from the magic of invention in a fantasy story.

Luke should have used the Joker's voice and pretended to be a crazy old man. "Take you to Skywalker, I will. But first give me that BB-8 droid. Mine! Mine!"

I'd need to know more about that idea to decide either way.

A young girl that lives somewhere in the country side begins to have holy visions about how is the chosen one who must help the leader of the Good defeat the Bad faction. She tries everything in her powers to find the leader of the Good and through the holy power that she posses drives the army of Good to victory ...

For those upset over the "Plot holes" of TFA needs to be reminded of what a plot hole is.

A good example of a plot hole is how Anakin became a force ghost.

We're told that Yoda has made contact with Qui-Gon in Episode III about a way to communicate post-death. It's heavily implied that this is an ability that needs to be taught. Obviously Obi-wan learned this, and somehow Yoda picked this up, too.

The Plot hole comes from how Vader learned how to do this. Either he discovered it himself, or was taught by someone else (Sheev is the only real option here). And if Sheev taught it, then obviously Sheev knows it.

Either way, it's left wide open, and sort of contradicts itself.

THAT is a plot hole.

Anakin was born from the Force though. He was literally Force Jesus. I don't think it is at all surprising he didn't require training. He was an embodiment of the Force.

I thought it was a makeshift grave....

I thought it was a great ending...

I think they messed up with Kylo Ren. There's very little that can justify what he did, and his personality is just a retread of Anakin in too many ways. The redemption arc feels far too early and too obvious to end up satisfying. I mean, the series won't be done for 4 more years, but right now it feels like a rigid obligation to maintain themes/ parallels.
