Well at least Haru is useful but Tokaku should have seen it was
Takechi
from a mile away. She dropped a whole lot of hints and even a few of the other assassin's noticed it.

I want to post something in that "weirdest lines from a porno" thread but I'm pretty sure I'd be banned again :lol

There's a lot wrong with Z that not even a manga-centric cut of it can save. To go from the gerat show that was Dragon Ball to Z always blew my mind how bad it got.

DONT DO IT

This is what I was planning to do with ピンポンPing Pong#3 abload.de/img/c230_rough… roughs are alright to upload.

I did over 20 cuts, but they didn't make it into the show because of tight TV schedule, very sad for me but I have to keep moving forward.

Other stuff he's tossing up: http://abload.de/img/c218a_genga-akebx.gif

lol what?

It's actually a super good upscale. It's clear they spent a lot of time working with the materials and there is a ton of stuff in it. Not to mention the high quality of the packing materials and the fact that it has English subs (and dub?). It's worth it's price much more than pretty much all the Japanese BDs on the market right now.
An upscale is an upscale. And a box is a box. No matter how nice. If anything the fact it needs its own shelf is a massive dealbreaker.

They just threw away Bahi JD cuts, what?

Yep, Ping Pong is pretty much one of those Attack-on-Titan style production disasters where there's no time to properly finish the animation for the TV broadcast. If they're already resorting to this on episode 3, I shudder to think how bad the show is going to look by the end.

It's too bad animators in Japan don't have any kind of union/collective bargaining. They really need a better work environment and more reasonable hours, not even mentioning the pay.

I dont recall elfen Lied getting away with anything either censorship wise. censoring wasnt as ridiculous looking though.

Elfen Lied was most definitely censored on tv, but it was mostly thin mist at points. There were times where entrails were in full view. Nothing like that in Brynhildr, just black bars everywhere.

No they still look very much like upscales.

Nobody is going to redraw a show for a BD release. They might touch up some segments(and even then that's rare). So what we're left with are upscales of varying quality, some of which are $400+. The TTGL BDs are some of the better upscales to be released. So what we're left with is a superior visual product compared to its contemporaries full of extras and core material.

Considering the quality of the upscale and the demand for the BD's, it's not overpriced.

Okay, actually I had skimmed through things and saw stuff about how Haikyuu is a boring/unoriginal sports series, expensive premium anime sets continue to be expensive, and nothing else I can remember that was being talked about between more than two people.
So I'll keep it in mind the next time I ask a question to clarify that I'd like an actual response instead of memes... and then, since I know the nature of the thread, I'll watch as no one answers it.

Maturity, bitches.
To be fair, meme spouting is likely to always be an accurate answer to what happened in the past 18 hours of this thread no matter when you ask it.

But new news includes titbits like Sailor Jupiter now wears her dress almost all the way to her armpits.

Narag has something going with r_thanatos, damned if I know what though.

Might have to update this classic at some point:

It was getting compared to Eyeshield 21 IIRC.

There were a few posts about the KKK in Shuffle a few pages back as well.

But you'd still be able to outsource to Korea/China/etc.

Well they do that anyway. Outsourcing inbetweens and other less creative work is easy enough, but it would be harder to outsource the work of talented animators such as Bahi JD. And perhaps studios don't value good animation enough to care. But they would at least be in a little bit better position than they are now.

Bahi is an Austrian student who is animating stuff at home and sending them over the internet. None of that applies to him! Lol. :p

I would say that a number of the few studios who do care about good animation for the most part already do. KyoAni, Ufotable, and Trigger(I guess) seemingly try to care about their animators.

BONES I'm not sure about. Bahi was praising their work environment but I don't know how that translates to pay and other factors.

Yugioh Arc V Episode 4

The duels are just a really festive and fun affair that attempts to be somewhat educational of sorts with asking us if we know that happens or what the cards do and etc. Still this makes the vibe around the show just highly entertaining. This probably goes well with Yuuya's voice too as he would be a great voice to use in front of an audience on a game show or things like that.

Loved the duel and it makes me want an Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon today. Odd Eyes is best card this season.

You're crazy if you think Trigger compares to KyoAni and Ufotable, or if you think they have "better" than working at BONES. Pretty much everything you watched from BONES this year, other than Soul Eater Not, was completed last year. That's the bargaining power BONES has to create schedules for their shows. :p

Well I was just thinking about the LWA2 Kickstarter and them giving left-over funds to the animators(supposedly). I wasn't just thinking about the schedule stuff, otherwise Trigger definitely wouldn't apply after KLK.

Do BONES shows need fewer (if any) corrections for a bluray release as a consequence of this? Seems like it'd make sense at first glance but hell if i know.

Depends I think, sometimes they don't fix things that need to be fixed. E7 AO though had a high number if I'm remembering correctly.

Their shows are pretty accurate to what is released.

Well sure, but he's a special case. The anime industry seems to be worse than the gaming industry in how it treats most of its animators.

Hey if you believe something vague like that, I have a palace on Mars I want to sell you. :)

Depends on the show ultimately. And even with good schedules, it's rare that an entire show will be completed before it airs. The first few episodes of most BONES show probably don't require any noticeable corrections at all for home video release. The later episodes could run into issues anyway when things start to catch up on them. Eureka 7 is a good example where even with a solid schedule, they blew it with episode 26 which took months to complete. Since it was a 50 episode series, the quality started to suffer. The final few episodes of the show got a ton of corrections on DVD. They completely redrew several scenes in the final episode.

Looking at this year's slate... Noragami and Space Dandy seem to be shows which were completed before they went on air. Chaika and Captain Earth have been in production since last year, so they're probably pretty far along too. Soul Eater Not looks pretty unpolished for a BONES series, since they put the Noragami team on it right after they wrapped up that series.

Even Yamato with its weird schedule wasn't finished in time! And it was basically 1-2 episodes a month for a while, until the TV airings anyway.
