Been working on my backlog in between watching Spring shows. Ended up finishing Shirokuma Cafe and Wooser recently. Both shows ended up being great and just what I wanted. Shirokuma Cafe I originally went into for an easygoing show to watch after a long workday. I ended up getting more attached to the cast than I expected, but I guess that's to be expected after sticking with it for 50 episodes. Recommended to anyone who enjoys cute animals doing cute things as well as any fans of puns. Watching Wooser directly after was a good contrast. Went pretty quickly through both seasons as the episodes are only 4 minutes apiece. Not much of a chance to get attached to the characters, but still was great for a laugh at the end of the day. Now to find another show that can serve my after-work niche.
Haven't dropped any Spring shows that I originally started quite yet. The bulk of the shows I'm watching thus far tend to air on Sunday/Monday so this season has been great for working on my backlog from prior anime seasons. It works out well since I have a feeling Summer is going to be booked.

Lots of Asa and Sia in this batch of episodes. Looking at the way the game pages are organized, Sia seems to be put forth as the "main" girl, which explains why she's had the largest amount of focus thus far. Everyone else is still getting their little moments in - Nerine's school swimsuit, Primula's really nice sandcastle subject to the mercy of the the tides, and some other lewd scenes, two of which have involved Asa. The characters are enjoyable to watch, and the rainbow-like color scheme is nice to look at, with the brown of the school uniforms serving as a nice counterbalance to create an even feel. The romance moments are cute, too. That's the charm of these romantic comedies - seeing the characters play off each other.

Kamichu? No idea if you've already seen it, but you didn't have it on the list of anime you owned or on your MAL...
If it only looked like smut from the outside people sure would. Which is generally what people see of anime.
But even though that's an issue, it's probably not the key issue. That would be the wrong titles getting the most exposure, and no good entity big enough to direct people elsewhere.

Oh goodie, the Blue Turbo Ranger showed up and guess what he still sucks.
Also, Saho needs her own show or at least to become the sixth ranger as she is genuinely more interesting that so many female empty vessels that I have seen this season.

[Hunter x Hunter 2011] - 102
Okay, so, real talk.
It's finally happened. After literally dozens and dozens of high-quality episodes we've arrived at what I had feared the whole show would be like. Here's a list of problems with the last few episodes:
1. Really poor quality animation: This would be fairly common in any long-running shounen series but this series managed to dodge this bullet for so long that I had imagined it was never going to happen, but it did.
2. Obvious and lazy padding: Leaving aside the story itself, there's been a whole bunch of tell-tale padding that really grates on my nerves. For example, flashbacks to earlier episodes (almost excusable), flashbacks to really recent episodes (inexcusable), flashbacks to the same damn episode (disgusting).
3. Infinite-Time-Shounen-Theory-Crafting-Internal Discussion-In-The Middle-Of-A-Fight: This one is fairly self explanatory. This show, like any number of shounen shows, has always had this as part of the action but earlier in the show they either trimmed it down or removed it, now they're dragging it out as long as possible,
Still, the show managed to avoid all these sins for a good long time. It's a shame.

Finally we leave this segment of the race and head on to bigger and brighter things. The Toudou Maki-chan episode of great quality was a perfect capstone experience bringing to life one of the most pleasant relationships in the series. I can only hope that someday we get such close bonds and sharing/synchronization with Imaizumi and Naruko.

Just to clarify how reasonable the production for Hunter x Hunter was for dozens and dozens of episodes, Madhouse, the animation studio producing the series, only turned to their old friends Dr. Movie to do really significant animation once the show hit the 90's. That's when it looked roughest.

That explains a few things. The show continues to be gruesome, but I'm hoping that, now with the first arc/book completed, there's at least a brief cooldown period. If there's some sense of what's being fought for, then it prevents the show from slipping into being something too hopeless. Enju's cuteness is enough of a reason. And poor Kayo. That's two shows this season with girls who have some sort of parasite controlling them. Not the first parallel I expected.

For fellow UK Gaffers I just noticed that Fate/Zero's Blu-Ray release over here will be priced extremely reasonably. Approximately £60 for the whole thing.

I don't know what communities you're going to then when somebody is discussing comics/movies/books and somebody goes "check out this close-up picture of [blank] in short shorts" or a very suggestive position/action.
I'm not saying stop but from what I've experienced anime tends to be the one where somebody needs to post a close-up of body parts or suggestive images in discussions. Comics are the close second of lewd images, but recently there has been a movement to bring down sexism in that. Don't know how that's going as I don't read comics/graphic novels outside of a few key ones

Didn't they get a lot of crap over that scene afterwards? I remember people involved later regretting putting it into the final movie. Either ways my argument wasn't over scenes existing, but people feeling the need to post these fan service scenes in discussion. I can't count the times that somebody here has posted a very NSFW image.
