I immediately love this show! Senpai is such a cutie (*bounces and squees*) and the manager is hilarious. And dat ED, so happy!

Anger is always funny.
And then you add in the demon mask later and it's hilarious.

Which Puchimas character differs the most from their normal counterpart?

Edit: sorry, should clarify I meant which non-puchi idol in Puchimas differs the most from herself in the normal iM@S series.
Or yeah, what DiGiKerot was basically asking as I was making that edit.

Do you mean that as in the Puchidol or the actual idol? Because neither Haruka no Harukasan are particularly like core-iM@S Haruka...

First time watching card game anime for a while. It seems nothing has changed.

Future Card BuddyFight - Episodes 12-14

It had been a while so I'd forgotten how some of the characters in this show sounded like and that ninja glasses kid sounds horrible. I can't help but laugh when he starts talking because it just doesn't work at all. Also the Student Council have a
fucking trapdoor in their office. Who gave a bunch of 14 year olds permission to have one of those installed? Oh yeah the principal who has a giant fist for hair.

Then there seems to be a bunch of underhanded match fixing with backroom politics over the ABC Cup. Rightfully the show does not condone this sort of behaviour and
in Episode 14 Mr School Council president lost to that Tiger Kid.

Episode 12 was definately the most enjoyable of the three I watched. I'm also really hoping for Gao to lose soon, he's a complete novice at the game yet somehow in 14 episodes he hasn't lost once. He needs to taste defeat!

Buddy Count: 605

Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V - Episode 1

I also gave this one a shot to see what all the fuss was about. I've seen pictures of hippos doing crazy flips and stuff so it must be good.

I think Action Duels would be pretty great if it were done in real life duels. It would involve someone chucking Action Cards around the room and then the duelists running around the room picking them up. "I just got this Action Card from under the wardrobe" is what I imagine them saying.

It was pretty fun to watch with all the crazy circus stuff going on even if I had absolutely no idea what was going on in the duel. I didn't care for the emotional parts though, not too fussed about that at all apart from when the tears came out of Yuya's goggles in one go. It broke the mood perfectly.

Trying out Hulu now for Sailor Moon, and comparing Anime on there with Netlix and Crunchyroll, and Hulu's video totally pales in comparison. Unless there's settings on there I don't know about?

A bit of service at the start - and Jibril's shaken up the dynamic in a fun way. This episode continues to encapsulate what I like about this show. Everyone's good at what they do, but they're held back but something simple. Nervousness, doubts and trouble at articulating themselves at times. Weaknesses that we've all had at some point or another. Sora and Shiro are strong, but not omnipotent. Like they said at the start of their rule, weakness is their strength. Weakness is a good thing. You have to be a failure before you succeed. Plus the king was an utter doofus who kept both a porn stash and a secret journal behind a Young Frankenstein-ish series of contraptions. It's an easy show to watch, but not without having some things to say.

How were the visuals and did it show a bit of character development between SEES? And how better was the adaption compared to Persona 4 animation?

Pretty solid. Not perfect as there were a couple derp faces and some weird anatomical designs but it's a massive step up from what we got in the Persona 4 anime. (though it's kind of an unfair comparison but whatevs)

It also gave some much needed fleshing out of Fuuka's and Makoto's character. I appreciate that they utilized his aloof personality well enough to build him beyond being a blank-state character and to provide some tension between him and the rest of the cast. He's obviously presented as a gifted Persona user but his personality hinders him from being a team player. He's not completely perfect as a result which is nice and sets the stage for some meaningful development.

I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to people who haven't played it before because the introductory phase kinda dragged and was a little boring too. But as a fan of the game I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Just got my Fate/Zero II box set in! Some general impressions from the packaging:

The artbox it comes in is great, it's not flimsy like the Madoka LE cases. It fits the three cases nicely, though because of the extras shoved into it (the proof of purchase, the artbook, and the card) it was a bit difficult getting everything out of the box at first. The discs themselves look very nice, being shiny and covered patterns that look like command seals.

The only real disappointment is the artbook, which is very thin. The pictures look like, but it's not what I was expecting. I was hoping more for a hardcover artbook, something that NISA includes in their releases. Even for a softcover artbook, it's not that great; the ones Aniplex put in the Madoka LEs were longer than this.

Still, it definitely feels like a high quality release. I'm going to watch an episode to see how the video quality is. Then I'll worry about how I'm going to save up for the first box set to complete the collection.

Just finished watching my favorite Fate/Zero episode (16). The video quality is really good, didn't spot any problems. The subtitles are very nice too; they're thick and white, which is much nicer than the thin grey subtitles Aniplex had on the Madoka Blu-Rays. I can't really comment on the sound as it's just going through the speakers on my TV; I don't have room for a surround system in this little apartment room of mine. As far as I can tell, it's a pretty good release.

Maturity, bitches.
Aikatsu could keep you busy for a while!
Yeah, I remembered that one, but realised I'm really late to board that train so I was hoping for shorter shows that could be finished off in a short period. Well just finished off in the case of Aikatsu since it is still ongoing.

School Rumble 2 1-3
A little surprised that I haven't this second season before. Anyway, the OP is worse for me. Harima is pretty cool still and Tenma is still not very good

Hmmm, I know some people who were vaguely into White Album - more the sequel work than the original from what I remember - but I've not seen even a second of it, so I can in no way vouch for it's quality.

There's probably Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live or something as well, but I've not seen that either! (also, like, 50 episodes long, even forgetting it's predecessors!)

There's a few more obscurities, some of which I've seen. Lemon Angel Project was alright at best, and there's also Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~, which was slightly better. I know Wandaba Style is at least partially about idols, but it's mostly comedy and I also haven't seen it.

The Pretty Rhythm series is pretty good (Rainbow Live was one of my favorites from last year), but I'll admit as much that the length can be a deterrent.

Every other show with the tag on AniDB has characters who are idols, but the shows themselves aren't idol shows.

I never thought White Album 1 was bad. But its more harem romance than a show about idols.

I have been holding HxH and will wait for 131 to watch 4 episodes in a row. Going to be great.

My "Fate/Zero: Part 2 got delayed too, but it´s okay, I have to start the VN before after all so I'm not in hurry.

I really love this show. The humor, the characters, the games, and the "keikaku doori" moments are just fun to watch every week.

Fox girl soon.

You're in for a treat, Lain is incredible. The Blu-Rays look pretty good too! I remember a bit of banding during some dark scenes, but it's something that apparently was there even in the original masters, so nothing can be done there. Still a great package overall. Did you get the standard edition, or the limited one?

I've read the banding is more evident in the Funi set because it is brighter than the Japanese set.

I got the Anime Classics one that just came out. Wish I could grab the LE, but it's like $150 on Amazon.ca. It's probably one of the better remasters I've seen in a while.

It's true, Funimation increased the brightness on their set for some reason. It's kind of dumb. It doesn't ruin the show or anything though, so if you're a Lain fan and aren't fluent in Japanese, Funi's set is the best you can get.

Nice, I didn't even know they added it to the Anime Classics line! If there's one thing I do like about Funimation, it's that they have a lot of cheap sets. I hope to pick up a couple myself this weekend at a convention I'm going to.

Isn't Funi's recent Eureka Seven BD brighter too, also with more pronounced banding? What is wrong with them? lol.

I don't have those sets, but I've heard similar things. Honestly, I have no idea why they do it. Maybe there's some technical reason behind it that I just don't understand.

Akame ga Kill anime character designs http://moca-news.net/article/20140522/201405220000a/01/ site has more pics http://akame.tv/character.html

Looks like there's a couple of cast members outside the PR: http://animeslovenija.tumblr.com/post/86413512755/akame-ga-kill-staff-cast (last 5)

Jesus those are some really bland character designs. Like if somebody thought "Hey we should take Anime Character Design 101 in the university" and they did, and they passed it with a C they'd design those ladies. And then they realized that for their final project they had to design a male too so they said "SHITSNACKS" and just grabbed one of their background characters and gave him a weapon.

Agis you look like a magnificent Goddess with your beauty shining. And my man Makoto swag as fuck looking so sly and wicked. Really cant wait to watch the first movie and the rest. Ahahaha Marie's in the corner where she should be, freakin terrible tsundere.

Character designs are definitely not that series forte.
In fact I don't even know what AgK's forte is
