That one seemed alright, the ones that puzzle me are dressing room scenes that take place in almost every episode. They haven't been gratuitous about it but I always thought it was silly. I guess it's a easy way to have discussion scenes lol.
That's why Jed fell off a cliff. He still had one more fight left in him. At which point he was utterly vaporized by Souta's Key powers. Even if the deaths in this show are just people dissolving into sparkles, it's pretty safe to say that those who sparkle are dead, because no magic has been proven to be able to revive the dead in this universe. Those turned into dolls (like Sultan) can live, but
Souta's mom/Sylphine/Trude
... they wouldn't do that, would they?
I figured out a long time ago that
Souta's mom was Phandavalian, but having her as one of the sages and being brainwashed into Trude, I hadn't picked up on. At least until exactly three episodes ago when the show more or less gave it away.
The final stage of
Marlene's backstory was also predictable, but still tragic for a show like this. The boy she had fallen in love with and felt deserted by, was also the first one she killed with her magic.
Wait, if the sages were there when she was sealed 1,000 years ago, just how old is Souta's mom? The combined forms of the Keys look very much like ancient technology, but they're being stabbed into a playing card. Bit of a contrast there.
I am glad that Hansel and Gretel are finally on the side of the heroes, but I have to wonder why Randagio is still working for her. He already lost his closest friends and brothers to her magic, and Cendrillon clearly sees him as little more than a joke, including literally sending him to bed in one of the more recent episodes. He did promise to perform with Hamelin, so maybe he's trying to run interference from the inside, if he was clever enough to do that.
It's not entirely clear what the conditions for victory are, other than winning a certain number of matches and having the conviction to go through with it. Crowning an Eternal Girl eight episodes into a show that's going to be split cour feels a little odd - but as demonstrated by Akira and Hitoe, winning and losing aren't as important as the fallout from them is.
It's incest in body, but not in mind. While the not-blood-related aspect from ImoCho isn't present to negate things, the ghostly-possession aspect is. Does Hanayo in Yuzuki's body count? And why was the condition that Yuzuki be transferred into a card herself? Is she "Eternal" because she's living in the cardspace? Can Hitoe reenter the game as long as she has more cards? What are the Lrigs anyway?
I have so many questions, but I also have the confidence that at least some of them will be answered. Things just got interesting. And I think, from my perspective, genuinely interesting. The monkey's paw has been fiddled with, and now it's playing the fiddle for them. ...I think that metaphor makes sense.
Yeah I have a lot of questions too. But two cours means they should be answered.
Are we sure that
Hanayo entered Yuzuki's body? I am guessing so, and that LRIG get to take over the bodies of eternal girls. But it could also be that Yuzuki's soul was split in two or something.

It might not actually be 2 cour. The site that lists its episode count (which is where everyone got the 2 cour information from) now lists it at 12 episodes. Maybe it was originally a mistake, maybe they were trying to keep the second half a secret and weren't supposed to reveal it yet. Who knows.

I'm thinking it was Hanayo which entered Yuzuki's body. It would make sense and explain why the LRIGs were so uptight about sharing the least information possible with their selectors.
But it also makes me wonder, why is Hanayo going out and trying to seduce Kazuki now considering that was Yuzuki's wish and Hanayo isn't bound by it anymore (being her own person now and all)... unless the wishes themselves aren't actually 100% those of the selectors, but maybe partly also influenced by the LRIG, which would explain why Ruko doesn't have a wish considering both that Tama couldn't talk when Ruko first got her and that all Tama seemingly wants to do is battle.

1. The LRIG are obligated to fulfill the wish of the person they hijack, and this has some function in allowing them to hijack the body.
2. The wish is influenced by the LRIG like you said. Though this could mean some really weird stuff if Hitoe picks up LRIG-Yuzuki. I doubt Hitoe's wish will also become "I wanna bone Kazuki."

Fack... 4 episodes may not be enough to fill in the plot holes and explain everything. Though hopefully it will. Honestly I can't really see it being 12 episodes AND a complete second cour. But I feel it needs more than 12 at this point.

Well, from the couple of seconds which we saw of LRIG-Yuzuki, she looked and seemed like a completely different person. Almost as if her memories were wiped. Though they could completely change that perception next episode if LRIG-Yuzuki remembers Hitoe.
It does make me wonder though, what happens to the LRIGs which fail, I assume they just die at that point considering they lost their chance to become human.
JoJo is BADASS. How did I miss this series for so long? (I love Capcom fighters as well, so I at the very least heard of it.) Mind you, I'm only on the 3rd episode, but I do believe I've found a new favorite series.
I must disagree with this sentiment until it's actually supported in all browsers and devices.
So fucking annoying when people post these links that I have to open a separate browser to see / can't see at all without getting up and going to my computer.

Few more episodes and we won't need to spoiler tag too many things here.
Since every onther place to discuss this is filled with people spoiling the lastest events
I actually like #animegaf because at least spoilers are respected for everyone , even if it becomes a CIA file.
Really recommend continuing if you liked it so far. Another thing I love is that it's not filled with the usual stock characters. I'm not an anime expert but I love how different it is to other series I've watched.
Reporter in heart catch was alright , but she never reached the awesomeness of superb that Masuko Miyo ... There is no denying that with her , things are much more intresting and she is an excellent asset when you factor EVERYTHING she does, i feel like she is more usefull than seiji , but that's just because seiji is nerfed ATM.
Can't wait to see more of her.
Her "investigation" was superb , spot-on and EVEN funny. Hime reactions were , once again a superb change of pace and miyo deduction impressive ( even if it was obvious , but hey , she was the first to "GET IT".
Got that everyone , They are heroes and heroes can't lose . CQFD Toei !
But the second half of the first season has a disturbing amount of sexual assault. And why the fuck would a father even marry off his goddamn comatose daughter.
