I wouldn't say it is worse than child porn.

But the second half of the first season has a disturbing amount of sexual assault. And why the fuck would a father even marry off his goddamn comatose daughter.
For the first time in her life she didn't talk back to him, so he guessed that its alright.

Welp, I just got a bad end in Fate/stay night because I didn't raise Saber's affection level high enough. In the dojo afterwards Tiger-sensei was joking about how most people probably won't ever see this ending without actively trying, so I guess that goes to show how little I care about Saber compared to Rin and Illya =p

Back to the beginning I go! Skip button, you are my new best friend!

Some games have enough production values that they rivals anime. Other have just a good story/universe ..Fate stay night is the latter.

All you need is the right game and you'll be hooked, just like you can't stop with the figs !

They're the closest thing to anime, in everything but the movement. That's why of all the mediums loosely grouped around anime, VNs are the thing I indulge in the second-most. I alternate between story-heavy games and service-heavy ones, but it's more of a spectrum than an either/or thing.

Not very many are adapted to anime these days, and the ones that are are never the ones that I've played.

Gundam SEED - 11

Aw yeah, Kira's finally kicking ass!

And Flay just got a lot less whiny and a lot more creepy. Yeesh lady, don't you realize you're squeezing a child's hand there?

Oh boy, she wants Kira to "beat up all the bad guys". With the look on her face as she said that, I can most definitely say that this is not going to cause any problems amongst the group whatsoever.

This character really is the Nina Einstein of this show isn't she?

I played Danganronpa and Katawa Shoujo and liked both but don't have much experience elsewhere in the LN field. I have 999 sitting around and I should get to that. And play Steins;Gate at some point too.

I had a nagging feeling building up through a good portion of this episode that
the avatars might be people who have already won the game
, so it was nice to have that confirmation at the end. More importantly,
Hitoe gets to be a Selector again?! This had better mean she can overturn her curse with her new wish, because it would be super cruel if the "consequences of losing are absolute" rule applies even here. As though Hitoe could have any wish other than to get her friends back.

Still really hoping that this is split-cour as previously rumoured, not because I necessarily think it couldn't be tied up within one cour, just about, but because I'm enjoying this show tons and I'd love to see it go into more depth.

Ahhhhhhhh...
The idea that Hanayo might have taken over Yuzuki's body didn't even occur to me. Yuzuki certainly seemed incredibly different in the scene afterwards, but I was assuming that was just her personality being twisted by the magic that gives her the "ability" to make her wish come true. But listening to it again now, her voice does sound more different than that would really account for. If that really is Hanayo in Yuzuki's body granting her wish for her, that brings up a whole host of new questions (though it certainly would provide a satisfying answer to the question of why the avatars are so hesitant to be completely truthful with their masters...)

...I can't even begin to imagine where this show's narrative is heading if winning really means handing your body over >_____>

Wow! I said DAMN! Then I was like "What the fuuuu....!"

There're still twists out there that do this to me and I appreciate shows that can deliver it right and this show did it right :)

The whole rest of the festival/carnival can fuck off, I wanna see Kaede's Illusion Tuna Dissection Live! They won't show it of course though, since this show is like that.

Is there a reason they made Tiara and groundskeeper dude siblings?

And it ends with Ichigo and Seira, of course. And of course they tie. Again.

Yeah right now honestly it seems
Selectors get absolutely nothing but fucked over from being Selectors. Lose? Wish gets anti-granted. Win? Body gets snatched and you become a fucking LRIG who has to trick someone else... jeez. This system is more fucked up than Madoka's system and there isn't even a reason for it to exist as far as we know.

We in the deep end now, girl.

While all this information and plot development could have happened faster and more effectively, it's still quite engaging. Really hope this is a 2-cour show.

Nanana's Buried Treasure 7

See now while I still believe that Tensai is undoubtly the best character in the show.

I'm pretty much jumping aboard the S.S. Yukihime for all my shipping needs.

you present a strong argument.

i dunno. Figures are special. Not nearly the same.

I lose interest in 5 minutes. Those games just arent for me.

It's definitely not for everyone. Even the shortest games require hours of reading.

Im a very fast reader ( i keep up with this thread for example) but I have always had immense trouble just sitting down and reading something. Occasionally I find something extremely addicting to read and I blow through it but its very rare.

Maybe , you should play Vn "on the go" just like you broswe #gaf on the go .
There are some titles available on mobiles phones. Or on Consoles like the Ds/Psp/vita.

First VN game I ever played was Katawa Shoujo. Wasn't really expecting anything but it was a pretty cool experience. The combination of the art, music, and sound effects was more effective than I thought it'd be, accompanied with text. Only played through three of the story lines (technically 4, it was a joke ending), but I really enjoyed my time with them.

Then I got a copy of the official release of School Days, which has great production value, far more than I expected, but you know, it's purely self-gratifying material lol. Got the best ending tho!

I started playing a fan-subbed patch of Steins;Gate way before it released officially, but never finished it. It has a slow start, I should pick up the official release and start over.

As for VN hybrids I played 999, Corpse Party, Persona 3/4, Persona 4 Arena (at least I think they count as hybrids).

Maybe , you should play Vn "on the go" just like you broswe #gaf on the go .

I really want more VNs to get localized, preferably on the Vita.

It'd be soooo convenient and great looking on my oled.

The only VN that I played was Katawa Shoujo. It was okay, but it sure made me have an epiphany on harem anime. See, while playing it, I was wondering how the VN would all go down as an actual anime. How would all the routes be implemented?

The answer? All of them would probably end up being shoved in and the game would turn into your average harem anime. Then it hit me. That's pretty much how all of these harem shows go don't they?

Many of the choices that determine Hisao's character in Katawa Shoujo is determined by the reader. It is us who acts as his conscience and enforces the decisions he makes in important situations. I had control. I chose who he went after and how he kept the relationship going.

But when you take a scenario where the main character can possibly fall in love with many different girls depending on the route you pick and put it into an anime is where the obvious problem lies, and it is why many of these harems feature a dumb clueless protagonist where "Best Girl" never wins! We don't have control over his actions like we do in the VN.

Now I understand that all harem shows are not always based off of VNs, but that's worse! Because then you're only setting yourself up for more disappointment because in that scenario there's no VN for you to go to and choose the route you want!

In short, ask yourself this before watching a harem anime: Is it based off of a visual novel? If yes, you should play that instead. If not, you're probably better off finding another show. Because at least in a VN you'll have some degree of control over the main character. In most cases. More than you will in a harem anime anyway.

Goddamn, too good.. when the production value in check, this show truly next level type of shit. Let hope its not going to hell again in that stadium setting again.

The way I read KS was that you didn't determine the choices that Hisao made, it was that you determined the type of person that Hisao was.

Romance is an attraction of this type of anime, but not the primary attraction. KoiChoco has its election and politics, 11eyes has the horror/suspense nature of the Red Night, and almost every one of them that's in a more "normal" setting has the comedy and character interactions. I understand that wanting to see romance is important to a lot of people, but I've always found that when it comes to romcoms, I'm one of those who prefers the comedy side of things. Let the romance come when it does - as long as I can relax and hang out with a group of characters I like every week, then the show's done its job.

Its just the overall limited animation and repetitiveness of it. Puts me to sleep. Literally.

Anime Limited just announced that they have licensed Wings of Honneamise and are planning a home video release in November.
Theatrical release is also considered.

Just finished listening to the full version OP for No Game No Life and I absolutely loved it.

Gonna have that on repeat for the next couple of days.

Your are absolutely right at the bolded , in general 3 choices await you when it comes to VN -> anime adaptation

Choice 1:
The anime is a mess because they tried to fuse/mix all the routes into one , creating a "anime-only" route that satisfy nobody.

Choice 2:
The Anime adapted only one route and left the others in the dust . Depending on the source material , this mean that they adapt the true route only ( steins gate , robotic notes, requiem of the phantom ) , or they choose a side to adapt ( 1 girl is picked ) , exemples of this are (Princess lover, otoboku, koichoco, or school days, fate stay night...... the list IS LONG) .
In school days they picked a bad ending , but the game has good endings too

Choice 2 is the most common in anime
Choice 3:
The anime is a prequel or an alternate story to promote your game.An example : ( riku bread Aka shining bread , wait no.... shining hearts ) , but you also have other examples

The way I read KS was that you didn't determine the choices that Hisao made, it was that you determined the type of person that Hisao was.

No you determined the type hisao was only in the first chapter , the rest were standard Vn choices that determined if you got a BAD , NEUTRAL or GOOD endings

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
HeartCatch Precure 25

Wow. Lots going on in this episode.

New sponsor card, new episode title background, new ED (that's even more uncanny valley than the first one, also gospel WTF). As for the episode itself, we got the triple henshin for the first time, which is so loooooooooong. Milk that reused footage, Toei. :lol No MOTW was weird, but welcome. Also damn, they nearly got Sasorina.

Really good episode. And it's a 2-parter, too!

Is the order a rabbit - 06

- a CHANCE meeting with a new character that pushed everyone in the right direction
- a metal gear reference ?
- a moment where 2 part of the cast met
- a rabbit overdose
- a sudden PLOT EXPOSITION
- like a rabbit sitting on a crepe
Gochuumon%20wa%20Usagi%20Desu%20ka%20-%2006_02.jpg

Well, as a few others said it was pretty much a given (and the JPN site already announced it last weekend), plus almost no one else here actually likes the show. But I guess knowing the exact regional restrictions is new.
Off-topic for the current season, but am I the only one who's teared up many, many times during Space Brothers? I don't know what's wrong with me!
Nope, the show got me a good number of times as well.
Just finished listening to the full version OP for No Game No Life and I absolutely loved it.

Gonna have that on repeat for the next couple of days.
Konomi Suzuki is the best.
