The best way to do it would be to have
Menma re-appear seconds after ever everyone stops bawling, smiles, and announces that that wasn't really her final wish!

Ano Hana!!

Kimi to natsu no owari shourai no yume
Ookina kibou wasurenai
Juu nen go no hachigatsu
Mata deaeru no wo shinjite
Saikou no omoide wo...

This would be a new level of terrible. Especially since that part was really the only decent part that wasn't completely ruined.

I personally can't wait for Another Hana, where it's revealed that
Menma was never a ghost. Rather, she had lived in isolation for years after her near-death experience on the riverbank awakened a killing curse that continually claimed the lives of other people in her place. It was eventually discovered that pretending as though Menma had actually died was the only way to stop the curse, and so everyone in town was instructed to ignore her existence at all costs. The Super Peace Busters were told that she had died as part of the cover-up. Menma never had a wish, but was merely using it as a pretense to interact with her old friends after realizing that she could no longer bear years of total isolation from human interaction. Unfortunately, when the Peace Busters realize that she's actually alive, it reawakens the killing curse and they spend the series trying to find a way to end it.

Menma is an old prostitute whose crack dreams consist of her idyllic days spent as a child with her friends.

Her being a ghost in those dreams is a metaphor for the invisiblity that her prostitution bestows upon her, i.e. she is one of the forgotten. "Secret Base" is the longing she holds in her heart for a refuge, somewhere to hide, away from those who beat her.

The Light of El Cantare
In Japanese, AF stands for "anal fuck."
It's used in brothel profiles for what the workers will or won't do, e.g. http://www.profile-j.com/ (NSFW)
Japanese threads about Dragonball AF are a source of much snickering.

It's okay, we can always change the name to something like Dragonball: Battle Journey or Dragonball: Next Tenkaichi Rumble.

"We'll Never Forget The Name of the Whore We Saw That Day"?

The whole thing was Jintans heroin overdose induced nightmare. In series 2 we follow Jintans recovery and eventual relapse into drug abuse and prostitution.

The Light of El Cantare
It should be apparent that in season two Jintan moves to a rural locale with his long-lost sister, becomes a cinematography hipster, and encounters a mysterious red-haired girl named Ichika.

I don't think I will ever be able to for get this.

That guy is actually a pretty decent reviewer.
That's probably going to end up being his most famous video though.
Honestly that ending is pretty sad all things considered. If the show was just that episode it wouldnt be bad at all.

I'll admit, I cried. But that's probably not all that surprising.

This has got to be the most elaborate, "buy the manga" ploy I've ever seen, this whole "new" series existance was one huge advertisement for the manga.

I think that the shows premise had some potential. I really think it would have benefited from being a movie instead, but alas.

Darn, I actually thought it had potential but not something I would read the manga for, Ill just hope 13 more episodes come at some point in time. Still need to actually see this episode.

So, are you going to buy the mango?

Edit: I won't even deny it. Tears were welling in my eyes when I watched the last episode too.
Killing off a kid is the easiest trick in fiction... next to killing a dog, I suppose.

Stop it, man!

Loop it in your brain!

Have you seen Someday's Dreamers or Piano?
Yes and no.
