I know that you are pretending to innocently not know about Eiken, but just in case you aren't and someone tries to make you watch it just run. RUN THE FUCK AWAY. If you must chew off your own arm to escape, do so because it will be of benefit to you.

And now back to the endless sakuga. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this quality of fight animation. The sudden appearance of Liquid Metal Terminator 2 Magic adds the blending of 3DCG effects into a 2D scene in a pretty impressive way, not that metallic liquids are difficult to pull off or anything but ufotable doesn't insult the legacy of James Cameron with their handling of the LMT2M sequences.
Of course this episode ends on a fucking blatant cliffhanger and I should be getting ready to go to bed instead of watching the next one. That's such bullshit.
From what I have seen of the characters, this is a positive.
That plus the music has got to make for a somewhat pleasant viewing experience. I mean Black Rock shooter is garbage, but its still an entertaining watch.
There is value to be taken from some bad anime, however slim.

I remember the last go-around where some people were suckered in watching Eiken. Just Google the word 'Eiken' and look at some of the images, that should be enough incentive to
YES it can. Saya was cute. the show was so blatantly trolling that it is genuinely entertaining to watch it unfold. This is not like this. None of the art, music, characters, design, settings, themes, dialog, humor, or fanservice in this anime has any redeeming value whatesoever. and I mean none. I tried to find an inkling of hope in that wretched show and found absolutely nothing. That is a rarity for me.
Now see, this is good anime Frostbyte. Watch Welcome to the NHK.
Don't be lured into literally wasting two hours of your precious life watching eiken and then crying afterwards.

Yes its worse than Ro Kyu Bu. At least that show is about something and attempts to be a good show. It might actually be, I haven't seen it.
Read Or Die is NOt a bad show by any means. the OVA is pure joy to watch and the TV series has a lot to like as well. It is a really entertaining series and it ties into the OVA in ways you might not expect at first.
Yomiko is one of the cutest characters ever and michelle in ROD TV is amazing as well.
Do yourself a favor and watch it!
God damn it, Chibi-Usa.
Wait what happened to Esmeraude? What the hell, Wiseman? What in the fuck is going on?
Sailor Moon R 85
Fucking...
Even Luna P. was corrupted
. Fuck this!
Then Wiseman fucks it all up AGAIN
Sailor Moon R 86
Well it's one of those episode titles.
I see the sisters are back. Hopefully their presence now justifies the weaker presence they maintained in earlier episodes. I'm impressed Luna P. is being used effectively as an offensive weapon as well.
...
Episode title be damned, I can't believe how Saphir went out.
Sailor Moon R 87
The weird lighting effect used in the beginning under Wiseman's hood was rather creepy.
It was rather sobering for Mercury to interrupt their transformation just so she could say goodbye just in case they didn't make it back this time. And now Demando dies? Not like this, I say. It's kinda fucked up that Wiseman has been pulling strings all along but it's all nice to see the Black Moon clan wasn't entirely a clan of assholes. In retrospect, maybe that's why the four sisters acted so inspid if Wiseman influenced them like he did everyone else.
Sailor Moon R 88
Mamoru and Usagi were looking especially regal even before Usagi's apparent apotheosis. Liked how previous episodes were referenced as a reminder of how welcome and adored Chibi-Usa really was. Great nod to the first series too what with how the silver crystal was reobtained by Chibi-Usa. Not quite as epic as the showdown with Beryl in 46 but still satisfying. Ending scene with the future cast in Crystal Tokyo was lovely too.
Sailor Moon R 89
Recap ep? Recap ep. Opening was a serious treat to see all the OPs together.I'm having weird flashbacks as I've evidently seen the next antagonist in various avatars over the year and I did like how even in a recap episode great character interaction was to be had via the narration. :lol @ Usagi's initial scene selections with Kunzite & Rubeus
So R was pretty great. As good as the first series? Nah, but pretty close even if it did handle some things like story pacing better. An & Eiru were a great opening duo but that was almost a detriment for the Black Moon arc until those antagonists were settled in. The main cast had some nice time to grow too. Usagi's still Usagi yet so increasingly removed from who she was in the first episodes as her confidence and resolve has steadily been growing. Looking forward to the R movie then hopping into S.
I paid ten bucks for the Green Green series and I may have overspent. Its really not much fun IMO.
But I can see how some people might get enjoyment out of it. The song Aozora is pretty nice. The artwork is mediocre but not godawful.
They're both pretty hilariously awful. I'd probably go with the sub since the seiyu for the main love interest tit girl is like whispering into the microphone or something, making it funnier.

It's more of a nostalgia thing for me at this point since it was one of the first harem/romcoms I watched to completion. What can I say, the 14 year old me finds
Started my rewatch of cowboy bebop--what a badass first episode. I like it more now than before; it's nice being able to appreciate a lot of the less overt stuff in the show. One perk of revisiting shows you watched years back, I suppose.

On my list to rewatch as well, it has been too long since I last watched it. I enjoyed the experience, but don't remember it all as well as I'd like to. Maybe this summer, perhaps.
I would imagine the dub adding heavy indirect humor in its delivery and scripting.

As the penguin that directed me to some glorious bad dubs, you know what you must do!
because, you know, this is only episode 8 of 26. The thing about the pseudo-philosophical mumbo-jumbo in the Nasuverse works written by Kinoko Nasu is that they serve as a useful distraction to make you think the whole thing is deeper and more thoughtful than it really is. Strip all that away and it's pretty nakedly apparent that the whole thing is an exercise in shounen fighting animation. Still, the animation is really goddamned good, and that always counts for something.
This episode is the first one which uses the storytelling technique of suddenly inserting a flashback with exposition in the middle of a fight. It's used to completely jarring effect here, but I'm not sure because of the structure of the narrative it could have been done any other or better way. They had to keep Kiritsugu's
special mage-killer bullet
a secret until the moment he used it for dramatic effect, since knowing what's special about it would ruin the moment in the fight when he uses it.
This show actually makes pretty heavy use of 3DCG for character animations, though it's not always apparent because of how well it's blended with it's 2D elements.
