Oh right, I'm deeply in love with Yuki Kajiura's soundtrack for F/Z.

This ep was weird. The show is expertly crafted, in the terms of knowing exactly what it is and getting it done with stride, but, on the flip-side, it's self-aware to the point of being an odd parody. Seriously, it's like it wants the narrative to be taken so, but blatantly mines the genre with the proclamation that it know its exact audience--Manami's "Okinawa!" into the camera, and proceeds to give them exactly what they'd expect from Okinawa in animu--from the incredible, frilly scenarios, to the abundant male gaze--no less, then, with blatant lamp-shading--
and an asshole all-aware director-insert (who's funny as hell, but so very weird with context), trolls them for actually sitting through it all--"Am I ready to take on the world?"
With that said, I correct myself from a while back; by the books shouldn't be my issue with this show, since it's consciously so that it is, it's that, for as much as this show seems to already know, I can't tell what it's trying to be, and don't know if that's a positive or what. Just weird.

Man the LN charts are almost a complete garbage dump. Even moreso than the anime charts.

Episode 11 was quite boring, but at least it set things in motion for 12.
The last 7 or 8 minutes of the last episode were quite sentimental. I loved the film-watching session and Kaito's lines towards the end were good. Remon's identity reveal was pretty cool, as it sort of confirmed that she knew Ichika was an alien all along and was in the school to watch over Ichika and troll the main cast.

It seemed like the lake scene was the beginning scene from Teacher. What I don't understand is that the voice of the girl (who does sound exactly like Mizuho from Teacher...) said she was taken away from earth, which never happened in Teacher.

As I recall she is forced to leave and everyone get their memories erased, but comes back a year later and the main character remembers everything thanks to the power of pocky. She could have left that message when she left Earth.
