The last two seasons were pretty lame though.
I dunno man, I don't remember anything that aired in winter. That means that winter season was lame. Fall too.

Fall-Winter had the 2nd half of Penguindrum, Chihayafuru, Fate/Zero S1, Haganai, Nichibros, Nisemonogatari, etc.
That's a good group of shows.

Is it though? Animation wise its nothing special I suppose, but the weird character designs were rather appropriate in the show's context. The background art was pretty ok as well iirc.

This is true of any season of anything ever. Admittedly quality went down the crapper toward the end of 2011/start of 2012, but rejoice brother, the time of our Apollon saviour's arrival is apon us.
Check out the AnimeGaf suggestions you haven't seen. Folks round here tend to have good opinions, except when it comes to aspect ratios, but even then they are coming round.
I'll also recommend Cross Game on top of those, because it's awesome and I'm biased.

I want to believe that even if it sucks, it can still barely get by on its Tony Taka character designs (sorry haters, my teenage self remembers his art too fondly to care about sameface). I think it's a three-way race to the bottom between this, Sengoku Collection, and Koi-Ken.

I still maintain that the VC anime was not bad at all, and almost prefer a few of the changes they made.
Selvaria sure had big... determination.
If they know your name, they can find out your weakness. The servants in F/Z are pretty bad about this bit of common sense though.

Once they know the Servant's real name, they can gauge their strengths/weaknesses from the history books. That was one of the coolest things about the whole set-up, actually. I'm surprised that they didn't lay it down early on in Fate/Zero for those who didn't play FSN.
From what I can recall, basically, if they know your true name instead of just your servant class, they might be able to guess at what your special abilities are and thus have an edge over you in battle.

You kidding me? The whole show is terrible,I never liked the changes they made. I don't care for Ramal or bishonen boy making more appearances than welkin.
