But then they rushed the Ayase arc so much it was actually hilarious. That shit took up the best part of a book in the LNs, and they basically rushed over it here in less than half an episode. They completely omitted the entire story about Ayase's stalker which formed the meat of the plot (despite foreshadowing it in a previous episode by including a scene of Kyousuke browsing the Ayase fansite, and despite including a random shot of the stalker in this episode that ended up going NOWHERE). And then they skipped straight to the full
confession scene
from the final novel even though it's too early to be tying things up like that.

Yeah, I wondered what that camera guy was doing taking a photo of Ayase, I expected something to happen later but it didn't. (I ended up forgetting about the guy by the end of the episode actually)

No, Shinka is genuinely cool; and Dekomori works when they aren't trying to make her an accessory for bad drama.

Shinka can't be cool when she spouts garbage like this.

Wow, they really are rushing through this. Oreimo deserved a better adaptation =/

First half of the episode was delicious and entertaining as expected. Lots of tension and antics with all the girls in the series gathered in the same place for the first time and having a giant fight over Kyousuke.

But then they rushed the Ayase arc so much it was actually hilarious. That shit took up the best part of a book in the LNs, and they basically rushed over it here in less than half an episode. I'm glad I at least finished reading the relevant chapter of the final novel before watching this episode, because if I was spoiled on it by this rushed piece of shit I would have been pretty angry. I guess I'd better try and get through the rest of the final novel before next week's episode.

I don't know why I expected anything better from this series after they included a line in one of the early episodes where Kyousuke said something about how he couldn't imagine being scared by Manami, which goes completely against the novels where Kyousuke has always made it clear that Manami is the most terrifying person he knows when she gets angry. I suppose they're going to just completely omit the entirety of Novel 11 as well, which has some of the best flashback material ever and covers exactly why Kyousuke has such respect for Manami, as well as providing all the explanations and resolution to the antagonism between him and Kirino.

Oh well. At least there was Kanako and Hinata in this episode.

Didn't watch this (dropped it weeks ago), and I could've SWORN this was something that would've been adapted since it builds up to the confession scene, and it did that instead?

Jeez

Geez, mermaids sure do love their thick and juicy… uh, cucumbers and the mounds of USELESS MEAT on that one mermaids chest is far more grotesque than any guro manga I've read.

Chuu2 OVA
kbgdg0vl.jpg

HEY UTAH!!!!!!! UTAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But really, talk about an understatement. I guess if this was any indication of what season 2 will be like, then it'll be a lot safer and friendlier to watch, but also pretty boring because the stakes are lowered to "when will they kiss" rather than "when will they grow up".

Not that advancing their relationship isn't a form of maturity, of course, but it's not quite tied to the same (melo)drama as the first season's events.

I hope that the actual new season will have a little bit more ambition than this OVA. I'm not sure what you can do after going through
DEAD PARENTS
, but if the aim is to have a 12 episode "will they/won't they" story... yuck.

But who am I kidding? I'll be watching it regardless.

Pretty sure the plot to Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was not only less offensive than this, but better written. At least the villain is entertaining. Which doubles as irony, as he's just admitted he's planning on
making child porn!
Even without the context, Firehawk was remarkably perceptive.
Licking. Her fucking tears. He's licking her fucking tears. The man is a metaphor for the writer of this show. Fucking creepy as all hell and gets off on the tears of anyone who dares to watch. Now if only Kirito accurately reflected the viewer in the way Utena does.

Heroic speeches from a mass murderer to a virtual one! That's the SAO way! Running away is
the definition of Kayaba, who not only fled from his captives for 2 full years, but never once took responsibility for the murders he committed and the families he destroyed.

You know, forget the part where this show glorifies incest and sexualizes little girls. I cannot get past the fact that it is now fucking glorifying a mass murderer. We've gone over the line so many times now that I'd wonder if it was ever there in the first place, were it not for the hilarious pain in my head as every ounce of good taste I once had dies in tragic exposure to this shit product.

Sword Art Online, where you can sexualize little girls, enjoy tentacle rape, indulge in pedophile fantasies and receive heroic power from the blood stained hands of psychotic murderers. There is nothing that redeems a product as heinous as this anymore.

The final battle was painful as hell to watch. Man can feel all of it, doesn't stand a fair chance of winning since Kirito is actively cheating, and Kirito maims him well after he couldn't fight back. I'm not saying he didn't have a horrid fate coming, but holy fuck the hero of this show is a goddamn monster in his own right.

I have actually dropped the S2 of oreimo because i didn't like how they adapted things . compared to the books

Glad i'm not alone thinking they are doing a lot of nonsense with this cast.

The yuri really does nothing for me, but it wasn't even terrible... It was actually funny. It's like a ero vid, just without showing anything. I was like "you know, this isn't that bad."

... And then the last minute happened, and Kawakami walked in on Aaya doing it with her own brother. DAMMIT. You go from lewd to awfully creepy in like no time! ... It's still not the worst thing ever, yet.

On to episode 2 I suppose.

you're in some deep shit with your mom. Whipping you like you stole something! ;_;

And of course, some little runt guy comes out of nowhere to interrupt the battle between Fate and Nanoha. Greeeeeat. :(

Are you commenting by set of 2 episodes now ? Are you finally intrested ??

This is the point where the show turns into Star Trek: The Magical Girl Generation.

Yeah I feel like posting impressions for each episode is taking time out of another episode I could be watching. I might continue going by 2's, not sure yet. But yeah, now that we're getting a look into Fate and her motives along with Nanoha's determination to understand her I'm definitely into it now.

The show certainly picked up for me right when I saw that
bitch of a mom.
I remember referring to
her as Lady Sephiroth
because of her hair style.

The Light of El Cantare
Here Comes Chooney Boo Boo OVA:

Predictably fluff special where everyone comes together to honor the pagan origins of Christmas. I was already dreading S2 thanks to S1's
LET'S DROP OUR ANGUISH OVER WHICH REALITY TO ACCEPT AND BLISSFULLY LIVE IN OUR CHOONEY BUBBLE 4EVA
end essentially killing any hope that the show could eventually salvage a little meaningful character development out of the sea of awful weeb larping, but it makes my skin downright crawl to think of there being srs anime romance on top of the stagnation in a sequel that likely just exists to give fans more of the characters that they like without any of those pesky thematic undertones.

2/5 steam paddlewheelers, will still watch S2 because lol idk.

Oh god Fuji-san, forget about tail fins, you need to do something about those massive tumorous growths on the front of your body. They're seriously disturbing.

Oh god all the tailfin/virginity parallels. Mermaids y u so lewd.

Fuck the world. I knew this was gonna happen but still man ;_;

Cutting some of the novel sucked too. There should've been another whole episode with Ayase.

I mean fuck

Female villains have always been allowed to have breasts because, y'know, youth is purity and having a mature female body stands in contrast to that and implies worldliness or the corrupting influence of carnal desire or something. Don't ask me, ask Toei.

The fuck happened with them between Sailor Moon and Precure?

Hold on, let me get my reading glasses...

Don't the villains always have boobs?

She's a special case

Then what's Fresh?

OH I GET IT, considering how much they considered the idea of getting famous off of it or whatever. And the OTP.

Toei sez: according to HIGHLY SCIENTIFIC research methods, children stopped being able to identify with endowed characters somewhere around 1999. Just look at Fun Fun Pharmacy and Ojamajo Doremi!

Satou and Ikuhara moved on.
No, I mean, did the Toei heads seriously start going "BLAH NO MORE SEXUAL THEMES IN OUR MAGICAL GIRL CARTOONS"?

Sounds like Sailor Stars ruined everything.

Calling it now : You won't be able to calm down and will get to S2 as soon as S1 end.

Still wondering how the hell doesn't she have neck problem orback problem given what seems to be the weight of those.

Okay, a mystery about a potential ghost. Much better than "why did the math teacher mix up his class notes?" All right. Obviously no ghost. Resolution makes sense. Still kinda wish they'd go for something bigger and more important. Maybe they will with the School Festival arc I've heard so much about.

I thought the baths weren't mixed. So why did he see Chitanda bathing? Or was he having erotic hallucinations from dizziness? I don't know, I think I missed something. And why was that boat there in the bath (yes, I know it was to prevent me from seeing Oreki's junk, but in the context of the story, which I'm beginning to think there isn't one)?
